Super Caddy schöne Grüße aus Deutschland 🇩🇪
Micheal, I appreciate your skills and dude I appreciate the fact that you don’t edit most of your screwups and you show that you can do this on a budget without all the bling that most think that is needed. In my opinion your channel is an honest car revival channel. It has a lot to do with the person doing the reviving, you don’t seem to be an arrogant person you don’t use foul language and you seem to enjoy what you do. Keep it up don’t change a thing we “budget” minded folks need you.
Why did you put a top on her now it looks Goofy it looks cool without the top
When are you going to hire it up a little bit a vehicle a truck
Hired up a little bit
I had one of these Caddys. I think mine was an 81 or 82 . Back in the early 90's in thigh school my friends would mess with me and pick up the rear end and spin my vehicle around. It was light enough that 2 people could lift it. A few years later a bought a 1984 GTI rabbit. Someone had installed racing suspension and souped the motor up and installed stainless steel headers. It was such a blast to drive. The neighbors hated me
Brilliant. Very cool little pickup. 👌
I agree - that is the perfect sleeper truck!
I love that truck!
Well done!
Dude!!! Sick!!!!!! I hate the stance but absolutely love everything. The patina makes the truck.
That sound makes me miss my TDI so bad
You need to find some junkyard GTI wheels. Such a cool truck
And an OEM Rabbit GTi steering wheel.
Who in the heck could dislike this .....
Looks like a fun ride
Man that thing is sick! Especially that camper shell! You cannot get rid of this thing along with your ford truck, theres some trucks you gotta hold on to
Takk!
Thank you sooo much for the support!!! 😊😊
Looks awesome great looking little truck.
Install the additional gauges in the glove compartment so you can see them/read them when you open it, but they’re hidden when it’s closed!
I'd just do a light sanding and clear coat the patina satin with some rad GTI wheels.
Such a nice patina! Very nice car!
Digging this channel more and more. Would love to have a little truck like that.
Good stuff.
Mount the gauges in the glove compartment lid.. flip down to expose when in use / close to hide.
Love these builds!! Maybe put the same motor in a golf cart!!
Make a centre console for those guages and some storage.
Maybe the Rabbit hatchback had one from the factory? It should fit.
Agree with Jeff Jamison a change of wheels will make all the difference. well done old boy.
Awesome job my friend 👍👍
I am just in awe how you took that little truck from junk to something incredible! Figuring out that wiring blew my mind and then buttoning it all up inside the cab. Genius.
Totally agree. To see you figure out the wiring harness was amazing. Dude, you're a genius.
i really like this truck looking sharp and cool 😎😎
This is a great little pickup.
Hello from Monroe, North Carolina
I have 1981 rabbit diesel pick up We put a turbo on it and I have so much pleasure out of driving that little truck I know what You're feeling
man there is a whole lotta blue inside that thing! not something you'll ever see again. the topper is perfect...keep it...its like the drag race farm truck videos. Congrats on a fun and interesting build
I vote keep the original paint!!
🙌🏻
Glove box
Make the gauges pop out when the glove box flips down
You did a great job
Very cool truck
I love this series!!!
Cool ratlook car)
Thanks!
Another very great build. It goes to show you don't need to have a huge garage to make things happen. This is why I love channels like yours, you keep it real and show that the average person can do these things.
If you’re going to Pennsylvania, you should find the Regular Car Reviews guys. I think Brian would absolutely love this truck. I think he lives in Reading.
Michael the best part of your channel is your precious children and the great fun and glee they get out of riding in your builds!!!
VWolf in sheep’s clothing, love it. Keep the canopy off it, looks much without it
Completely agree. Why add weight for something that isn't flattering.
now i wish I had volkswagen rabbit truck.
Great video glad you posted keep them coming thanks
Brilliant. What a fun little rocket 😊
Sounds like a Mac truck, lol. Its awesome.
Thst interior is cherry 🤤
Great job Michael set up looks cool under the hood .paint looks cool
You gonna get some bed liner paint in it ? Hide the gauges in a centre console or glue black airasol paint lids to get her and velcro them to A pillar with gauges in .or hide the in the glove box ..the air cleaner are you gonna fit an alloy shield to separate the heat from the engine from the k+n cold feed .?
As usual you done a great job 👏
Great stuff
Cool project. 😎
Best regards from germany ✋
Great job, and Great video! Greetings from Brazil!
Cool mike
I just love the sound of the boost kicking in and I would love to see this little truck painted its worth a new coat of paint love the videos
Phil in the good old UK
Nice tidy job buddy
Lol that’s a sound I could listen to all the time. Don’t need a radio 😂
That thing cleaned up way better than I thought it would.
Cool!
Sweet 🤩
Man this thing is so cool
Thanks dude!
Looks and sounds really good nice job mate
Great job on this conversion, sounds fantastic !. Love that you are keeping it sleeper spec. Please don’t paint it though, I love how it looks. That patina shows it’s history and is impossible to recreate, (though some folk try to, ridiculously !). If in doubt, think, “What would Mustie1 do with this ?.
Loved the video, can’t wait for an update on the 911.
So pretty, I want one now... =D
Definitely keep the patina and possibly clear coat it to prevent further deterioration. I’d keep everything else stock looking as well including the wheels. No need for GTI ones as others have suggested. Being in the UK I really like the US market stuff on it including the square headlights grille and over rider front bumper. Even that crazy hard top has something about it!
Nice work and she sounds healthy and she sounds like she drives nice. Brilliant work and thanks for sharing this with us take care
Nice job You did good Sweet
Yesss!!! Let’s goooo!!!
Woohooo!! 😃😃
Great job 👍👍🇨🇱
I know nothing about diesels, but I do love these old VWs. You really made her shine and fly! And I can't believe how clean that interior is. Very cool little project!
You guys manage to plow the toughest fields, EASILY..! Wires wires and then some vac VAC too....goes great - tubular peripheral device works ...oh my..! Congrats...
Awesome!! So happy for you. :-)
Add a gti shift console then have a place for the gauges.
That’s definitely a good idea! I’d like to find a 2 gauge early blue console for it, if even possible! Lol
That "Rabbit" is getting there. Simple and a little faster. Beautiful pick up!!
From the other side of the Pond!! Congrats and keep on trucking!!
Good projekt. I would try a cold air intake.
no paint looks great as is awesome job BUd !!
Excellent video also project 👌 👍 👏 😀 🙌 turn out excellent to & sounds like Transport truck in small truck to and very good too! Also keep going long time too plus add a Grey Bottle of STP Total Treatment fuel injection and carb cleaner in fuel tank too every month to plus Conditioner to fuel tank full each time fill up with fuel too ! What next project got next to do and be looking forward to seeing you in fix up too more videos too!
DAAAAAAAAAMN, SOOOO GOOOD! Love the sound, love the "bed cap", crazy cool
in case you don't use the speed signal to the ecu (launch control) you can unscrew the VSS sensor and screw in a mk2 speedo cable to the original mk1 cluster.
Run that intake into the windshield cowl.
After washing the excess wax off put some Turtlewax 50984 16 oz Ice Seal & Shine. It will bead water for years. Trust me!!!
What a kickass build, i love it, such a cool little truck and fun to boot. Imsaynscuff and clear coat her and lock that patina in, she's earnt that look, and carries it well. The canopy on the bed rocks that is so perfect for the Rabbit, how awesome to find it, and what a cool little parts chaser for the channel
Great build Michael, the layout for the turbo was excellent . Engineered to perfection . The weld lip seals were genius, no worries about pipe blow out .A little truck to be proud of!
OMG its a METAL Volkswagen that ISN'T an air cooled Beetle. Thank you!
I loved … my God 💪👍
Very nice! wish we got this ute version here in Australia, good to see a vw that's not a beetle or kombi!
Such a cool little sleeper truck, looks killer with the canopy, well done!
She's a gorgeous VW dub maybe put the gages behind u so u can see them in rear view mirror
I've been loving this build. What a thrill it must have been for you to take this down the road for a shake down run. Have a blast at MK1 Madness.
Little truck looks great! I like it lowered an that says something since every vehicle I own is lifted!
Drastic improvement! Nice job! She's worth a paintjob now!
Yeah leave the bed shell off get the GTI wheels and steering wheel. Also maybe the round headlight conversion.
Wow that turned out really nice. Really great job on the cold air system
Yes Michael, love this build
Cool😎😎😎😎
Nice man the next month i start a bew swap in my rabbit 4 door
Upgrade it with 6 gear manual gearbox. I have vw golf mk4 85kW 1.9 tdi with 6 gears... when I tell people that I drove it in Germany 220km/h they don’t believe me... but when They try to race me... different story🤣💪🏻 Love your work💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 congrats man
Rabbit series is your best series
Great vid love the car
Michael, I hope you never paint this true survivor. I absolutely love this truck.
Holy cow! It looks amazing!
Your videos are helping me a metric ton with my ALH swap.
Much appreciated!
Fantastic build, loved the detailing also (and the bluegrass music during)
wow great work what a special vw to bring back to life man over here in California that thing would be like gold.
I actually dig the rat look.
That is coming along good, topper is ok how about a tonneau cover it would be much better enjoying this build …
