      Lol his hair was nice. I believe everyone has good hair, his didn’t take as much manipulation for it to do what I wanted it to. He also have a tender head so I had to be gentle on his scalp💕

    My afro is about the same size as this. I've been growing my hair for about 9-10 months......and I've been getting it braided the past 3 months now. I wanna try a new look and it's fasho this one. I have taper fade on the sides and at the back, do you think it will still look right? Or is there any tip I need?

    • @BrittKayy
      @BrittKayy  Рік тому

      I think it’ll still look right with the taper on the sides, do you have taper in back too? It’ll look right either way, your hair is a good length.💕

      I don't think it's two inches, my hair is 2 inches and it doesn't look like that, 4-5 is more likely as it looks like double my length

    Why you putting rubber bands at the ends? Won't that cause damage when removing? If I choose to do this, do I need the rubber bands?

    • @MJ-lz7ld
      @MJ-lz7ld 3 роки тому

      Idk about the damage part but no u will nit need the rubber bands

    • @BrittKayy
      @BrittKayy  Рік тому

      You can soak the rubber bands in oil to prevent breakage on the ends. If your hair is course enough you don’t need rubber bands. I don’t need them on my hair, just braid your hair ALL the way to the end otherwise it’ll unravel.

    Do u put anything in to keep the braids from sticking up?

    • @BrittKayy
      @BrittKayy  3 роки тому +6

      No I don’t, they usually fall naturally after a couple of days. You can use hair mousse to set it which will help from it sticking it up or tie the hair down for 5 min so they lay down.

    • @BrittKayy
      @BrittKayy  3 роки тому +5

      Yeah I always braid down, not out. The angle you’re braiding helps with how it lays.

    How do you get the braid ALL the way to the end of the hair. My boyfriends hair is like 1.5 inches and I can only braid half of it can’t braid all the way to the end and the ends just puff out it doesn’t look good help

    • @tiffb100
      @tiffb100 3 роки тому +2

      When you start running out of hair to Braid, makes the hair into 2 sections instead of 3 then Twist the rest like a 2 strand twist..🤷🏼‍♀️

    • @BrittKayy
      @BrittKayy  Рік тому

      I just keep braiding until it falls out of my hand usually try adding product in your hair strands and combing the product through so it isn’t puffy. That ways it’s more smooth and easier to braid down. Secure the ends with rubber bands to avoid unraveling and puffiness (soakrubber band in hairoil to prevent breakage). Also, try to braid medium size braids, smaller braids are harder to grip and continuously braid down.
