Gloves … I am always amazed that some people never think about gloves. I keep heavy dishwashers glovers in my med kits for the vehicles. You want something that can protect you from the glass and blood. But now I am thinking about that there are likely better options 30 years later from when I 1st started doing it. That is the great thing about watching someone else’s video it get me thinking about things I have become complacent about. I need to research.
I consider your channel immensely valuable. Always important information. Although you’re a bit older than I am (I’m 33), I feel like you represent your average, middle class American trying to navigate through this backwards and hostile time (like me). Keep up the solid work!
awesome video btw your first comments about weight eyes and the rest OK ...I ressemple that to a "T" . Great setup and I use a sling pack for grab bag... I have another smaller bag that carries range equipment etc... great ideas
As always good content, different laws here in uk but yes I have picked up some useful info thank you. I have just purchased some electronic ear protectors a couple of weeks ago and didn’t realise they could pick up radio frequencies I thought they only eradicated loud bangs but let you hear somebody speaking. Will have to look into that. Thanks again have a safe and relaxing weekend.
2:17 I have started using 3mm shock cord in place of rubber bands for things like that, because rubber bands don't seem to last long these days, even when kept cool and dark. Cord locks make for adjustable ties, but you can just tie them to fit as well. Sgt. Knots is a good source.
Very nice, Modern Refugee. The defensive aspect of prepping continues to be my most challenging area. Plugging along and doing my best but it's the toughest for folks in my area. There's always way to get things done though!
Isn’t that the truth. In summer, I always lose weight. I had my 6 month check up and I went from 135 to 125.8 pounds according to Dr scale. I never weigh myself, I go by the way my cloths fit. I knew I lost, but not that much. My labs are perfect and I feel great with no change in energy. Just the way I am. But I had to adjust my backpack too. I’m going thru my pack with some suggestions you made. Thanks MR 👍♥️
Rock , Stick , rock tied to short stick , sling , Boomerang , sharp edge small rock , one of those Crocodile Dundee Bush telephone spinning thing , call your Mama ? And a Spoon
Good stuff, MR. I'm trying to figure out how to deal with loud noises inside a building when awakened from sleep and not really time to put on muffs, etc. Don't want to register myself with the government to have a noise limiter on the seed sprayer. And keeping weight down on the get home bag.
They already know who you are. That's not really a valid excuse anymore. Now is the best time ever to purchase a noise limiter with approval times shorter than ever in history.
@@irabeideman9469 it’s not who you are. It’s where you are. You must keep them apprised of the item’s address and you have to have it at your address. To fail to do that would itself be a crime. No thanks. May just have to risk the hearing.
Keep losing weight! In regards to the SRK, how does it interact with that sheath? Every cold steel fixed blade I've owned has been dulled immediately after drawing from those secure ex sheaths a few times. As much as I like cold steel, it just made it not worth it to me.
I guess I haven’t noticed. I usually run my knives over a steel when I’m done using them so maybe that makes a difference. They do dull quicker than my ESEEs.
MR, Good Video. In addition to my EDC Get-Home-Bag. I have roughly 6 mags loaded. Cleaning cords for multi calibers. KBar. Machete. Milspec shovel. At 3/4 of a Century and having just survived another heart attack two weeks ago. Bad back. I need to keep my load very light. I need wheels to transport anything. I am revamping my bicycle to haul loads like the VC did. If I am forced to retreat to my secondary site I hope to get the 30 miles. There I have what I call my 'Oh-Crap' pack & 'mo' resupply. . Which I am going to be reconfiguring this next couple of weeks due to my ill health & comorbidities. Aging not so gently I do not intend to go quietly into the night. From the 👍. Best
War belt? Better to have a Hunting belt. Skills will be needed for farming and hunting, not combat (unless you already live in a war zone). Rural Michigan should be safe from civil conflict, it's the cities surrounded by strangers that will have the most drama

Haha! The Department of Defense used to be known as the The War Department.
Yup
Good video! Thanks for sharing.
Am getting old, my next gear bag will be a rolling backpack. 🙂

6:42 When I go to a range, I carry my stuff to the car in trash bags. My neighbors are nosy D's. :-)
Staying organized is part of the job. No point in owning anything if you can't lay hands on it when you want it.

Hello ! It started raining , now I can’t mow the lawn until tomorrow , Mother Nature restructured my system ! I’ll clean the house ?
Rain tomorrow.
Tried this TQ placement in my chest rig during Op, and it's really troublesome. I'll never do it again.
Have you ever thought about including things to help Breach a building or area?
No, there are a lot of well armed people in the rural areas where I frequent. For myself personally I would rely more on diplomacy than a pry bar.

May I ask what brand is the bag?
Osage river off Amazon. I have since reinforced the zipper pulls with steel rings for extra strength and easy to access.
Keep losing weight!

Bag brand?
Osage River off Amazon. It was the standard duty. Since the video I have reinforced the zipper pulls with split rings. It was about $50.
War belt? Better to have a Hunting belt. Skills will be needed for farming and hunting, not combat (unless you already live in a war zone). Rural Michigan should be safe from civil conflict, it's the cities surrounded by strangers that will have the most drama
We have that too. Hunting has been tough that last few years. Too many people.
@@ModernRefugee good point
Who is the duffle bag made by?
Osage river
