She did the Doors proud!
The first time I heard the original of this song, I was hitchhiking in a driving rain storm in Kentucky. I got picked up by a couple who had just gotten married and were headed to their honeymoon. The very first song that came on the radio after I got in the back seat was The Doors. The three of us had a big laugh.
This is one of Luna's finest covers in my opinion. I have heard most of her covers, and have been actively posting about her in the several blogs that I have operated in. She is fantastic.
A.M.E.N. to that
Wow this was amazing! Jim would approve!
WOW! Being 74, I certainly remember the original rendition done live, and this is an amazing tribute to that great song! Very well done, young lady!
Absolutely brilliant superb musician
Haunting rendition! I swear I could hear Morrison's ghost humming along...
I heard it too.
I saw the ghost of a Navaho shaman lying on dawn’s highway bleeding
Ray Manzarek would get a big kick from hearing this. Seem to remember he’d love to hear different instruments.
@@sikajaperkele @beateful
@otima
What a gift!
Not just a talented Gayageum player, but an incredible arranger as well.
That is beautiful! Thank you
She is playing two different melodies. The piano and the lyrics. Wow.
They are 2 different tracks she recorded.
Very very beautifull!!
Wonderful rendition -- thank you!
I LOVE THIS!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, Ms. Lee. Excellent rendition.
Mind Blown.
everyone is talking about how proud jim would be, but RAY would have been blown away 🖤
Ray was the best musician in the band
Ray was class. I love him on the Los Angeles album with X.
Nice. Thank you.
Sultry ,slinky and spooky. Badass as hell. Thanks, Luna Lee
Perfectly stated.
Very spooky indeed.
Yeah what you said👍🏿👍🏿
EXACTLY
Yep it is
Love it.....thank you.
this is a very good cover. i think, the gayageum fits rock music very well
It can handle a LOT more than just Rock. I'm positive! Just ask Alic....er, Luna. Folk, Bluegrass, cultural classics(think Danny Boy, Amazing Grace, Ai San San, Ka Wa No Nagare No Youni, Arirang), even symphonic melodies. Not just a little versatile, IMHO, a whole bunch versatile. The young lady seems more than talented enough.
Do: Rapture -- Blondie
THAT's what that instrument is called!
I've lived, I've learned.
@@garyguyton7373In case you'd like to listen to traditional Korean music written for gayageum, here's the link : ua-cam.com/video/xFE24gn3FkM/v-deo.html
Awesome, think Jim would have liked it
Wow...that was fun.....
So trippy hearing a Asian version of one of your favourite songs.
Totally fits the doors vibe
Whoa! You are over the top awesome! Ride on!
To all viewers: Admit it... you sang the lyrics along with this video. All of them. In perfect rhythm.
You're making me happy, thank you x;)
Just stopped in for a moment. I couldn't leave. As one of my all time favorite songs, I couldn't leave. Remarkable.
Talk about meditation music. Amazing!
Miss Mojo Rising!
Awwesome, thanks :)
I love this song and your version rocks! ❤️
Brilliant 😇🙏👍
So Beautiful...Fantastic...Best Wishes..from Sri Lanka...
I love you baby......
Wow great sound to a classic song!
This young lady should do the score for the next tarantino movie....
Definitely! Tarantino should hear Luna Lee and use her for music in an action movie. She's amazing!
@Climate C. Heretic Tarantino would have to answer that. The gayageum is an ancient Korean instrument, but the movie could be about any action script. Remember "Kill Bill, 1 + 2" included awesome songs the great Japanese female singer Meiko Kaji. I had never heard of her until I saw the "Kill Bill" movies. I was so impressed by her voice, I started collecting her CDs, one of the best jazz/blues/Enka singers I've ever heard. Kill Bill also included Gheorghe Zamfir's amazing "The Lonely Shepherd," on Pan Flute. To me, Kaji Meiko and Gheorghe Zamfir's music was the most impressive score for cinema I'd ever heard. Tarantino is so creative, he might come up with something remarkable, using Luna Lee's unusual music. Your comment made me smile, but also got me to thinking. Thanks!
And 007.
we think the same. I said to my wife before comment surfing how tarantino could use this.
Robbie Rodriguez would flip...& the perv producer in jail misses out...lol...
Wow. Awesome.
I was at venice a week or two ago. As i walked the empty path due to the current pandemic. I could hear the waves crash in the distance and the whole time I could hear take it as it comes in my ears. The organ just echoed. Jim is such an eternal bieng. We take him for granted as a poet and a spiritual figure so often.we forgot how he carried us through Vietnam, the death of Kennedy, and mr king. This man healed so many and so rarely geta recognition for how he inspired a whole new generation. Rest in peace james douglas Morrison 1943 1971 🖤
loved it :) ......into this world we're thrown!
The algorithm withheld this from me for 3 years!!!
I wonder why we're suddenly worthy?
@@OathofLight All the cool kids must've graduated.
Love this song!
And you really captured the essence of all parts of the original. More haunting sound from your strings than the rain in the doors version. You're a badass on that instrument!
I have found my people - the tribe of late to the party!
@@drunkbobo Yep! We have weekly meetings, but everyone sorta shows up whenever.
Well, I'm blown away! 👏👏👏👍👍👍
Jim would be proud....
Yeah, man. This totally tripsville.
oh jeah
no shit ... all the Doors members would have loved this
@I Em Hoo I Iz I came here from the Dodger stadium video ,, I was thinking I had to hear some other Ray Manzarek songs..
@I Em Hoo I Iz I once saw Ray play this solo, on a piano in a little bar. It gave me goosebumps.
I like it, thank you Luna
It has a nice weeping sound ... fits the song perfectly....
Wow, she's amazing!
Playing all the songs i grew up listening too..
once again very Beautiful Version...
this is real trance ! love it
I love watching her play. What wonderful talent she has.
You are awesome
Luna's gayageum singing The Doors. Masterfully done.
🤯too cool love it 😃✌️♥️
As an old fart who watch the Door's do this live, I'm seriously impressed!
Me too. Saw them 1968.
Doubt you saw them do this live, unless you lived in Dallas the ONE time they played it in concert.
@@txurce As a matter of fact I lived in Forney, Texas at the time, and it's where Lake Ray Hubbard is. My grandfathers farm was where the lake is now.
@@CajunWolffe There you go!
@@txurce So you know where Forney is, LoL, not many do. My mother and siblings went to the old Heath one room school in the thirties. I have pictures and they are a real treasure and a peek into what life was back then.
Awesome 👍🏼
I could listen to this all day
My favorite thing on UA-cam! From USA YOU ROCK!
Amazing 👏👏👏
You are amazing
Absolute love this tune and your version. Thanks for this.
GOT TO HEAR LUNA'S NEW BAND LUNA AND THE LUNATICS RECENTLY ................. THEY ROCKED THE HOUSE ! AND THE GARAGE TOO.
27.5 X
You can tell she likes that song :) .....good job Luna!
Would love to see (hear) her take on "The End" ... awesome talent!
Very talented young lady!
Luna Lee, I think that this is one of your best performances yet.
Wow. Love this. You are amazing.
You still get the feeling driving thru LA during a rainstorm! Brilliant!!
Very cool 😎
Even though you are doing covers each one of them is an original work of art.
I'd love to see her do some originals.
bold choice and well done. good to know to be aware. be safe and have fun playing that music.
Holy Echoes Batman! She nailed it!
19 seconds in and I had chills.
I am blown away!
I can absolutely picture Mr. Morrison singing those beautiful lyrics with nothing other than this lady playing along...
Mr Morrison- he'd get a kick out of that "Call me Jim". I recognize your respect but i think he'd get a kick out of it.
TheManwithnogod- "To hell with them fellers buzzards gotta eat same as the worms" my all time favorite movie line
And throwing himself on the floor rolling around while he sang.
A unique rendition of Liders on The Storm...........just messing around......a truly good job...
What's really impressive is that she's covering what was originally two guitars by herself.
Thank you for sharing this with the world
Hey, young lady, YOU ROCK, that was an amazing rendition and I really enjoy it!😁👍😁😎
Love this version girl....
she FEELS the spirit of this music!
Absolutely perfect!
Ideal song to listen to when it's windy outside, blowing all the coloured autumn leafs, and the rain starts pouring (especially in the Netherlands) ;-)
Totally agree1
Fabulous with soul.
Everything I watch of this girl is outstanding. I like this at least as much as the original. Great driving music!
Awesome.
This girl has to do a World Tour. amazes me each and every time I hear her play. Who knew you could play hit music on an ancient instrument.
Jim and Ray would both have absolutely loved this.
Robbie K. was the guy playing the stringed instrument in the Doors.
@O.P. Yates
Oooops, Yep, I should have caught the past tense, thanks.
I agree, they were accomplished musicians at a young age. I think Robbie was 21 with a background in Flamenco guitar. Ray was a killer keyboardist, and John didn't play the same old thing your heard so many drummers play.
WOW!!! way totally awesome, you go girl!!
I've been listening to you for a few years now and I never get tired of listening to your music.
You are bringing music to the world that most people would have never heard without you.
Absolutely amazing.
If you ever get a chance, and you like the song, "Red Barchetta" by RUSH would sound amazing on your instrument. I would love it if you would just listen to it if you haven't already. I would die a happy man if you made a video of it.
Cool cool cool cool. @@@ more
What a fabulous instrument, mastered played give a ASMR resonance...........
I think Ray particularly would have loved this.
I think this is one of your best and most original interpretations.
Beautiful
I had this record in the 60's which influenced my musical tastes, then and now. This was a great interpretation.
That's impossible, LA Woman was released in 1971.
Magic! Beautiful....and so clever 🤗
The reverb was just about perfect!
the coolest thing I heard today
How delicious! Expertly done, and a beautiful performance as well - best wishes, you have a bright future!
This is crazy good
In my opinion THIS is the best version of riders on the storm :D
Incredible!
Has a little of the Peter Gunn flavor which i hadn't noticed before now
This is great :)
