- If you can't buy it, you should make it! This week it's time to celebrate summer by making Neville Longbottom's "pet" cactus: The Mimbulus Mimbletonia!

Things you'll need:
A little Terracotta pot (you can make one out of clay)
Sculpting tools
Polymer clay (preferably black/brown)
Acrylic paint (used ochre yellow, green, ochre red, brown, white)
Brush
You'll need a oven to bake the clay. Had it in the oven at 110°C for 30 min each time, but make sure to bake the clay according to instruction on the package.

I love your videos, but could you show a little about baking the clay, handling it after baking, how long before painting it,any sealants you use etc?

i feel like using a green tinted translucent polymer clay would also look real good and give it a realistic look similar to a succulent
Yeah I totally agree, it would look really cool! :D I seldom buy any other clay colours than black, just to save a little money buying big packs instead of small ones and so I decided to go for a little "cartooney" version as it looks pretty eccentric in the films :)

I'll definitely go in depth on that question at some point, what I can say right now is get some clay, some paint and some tools, doesn't matter if it is a kitchen utensil or whatever, just find something to get you going :)

I got the flat metal spatula at school, but it is from Tiranti, a UK based art supplier, you can order it online. it is the dental tool SL :) I just ordered more myself, it is quick and affordable :)
