I got Faraway 10 days ago and it is now my most played game this year. Even my non-gamer family won’t let me put it away but want it sitting on the table for anytime we can get another game in. So crunchy and quick that we’ve never played just one game.
😊We're glad you enjoy these episodes. We always have a lot of fun putting these together. Thanks for watching and sharing a comment with us. Cheers! -Chaz
I'm looking forward to getting my copy of kelp in the next month or so, the asymmetry really intrigues me. I wonder which of the two play styles I'll prefer
I don't think you are. This is also like Time's Up, which is like Celebrity. I think this is kind of like Apples To Apples in that there are a lot of other companies doing similar products, but giving them different names. -Rodney
Great question! Not in the near-future. There's a list of features that I'd like to get implemented and stabilized first. Plus, I'm a web programmer by trade, so that's where my specialty is. So, while an app version isn't completely off the table, for now I'm concentrating on fleshing out its current web version to be as strong as possible. -Chaz
Kelp has been repeatedly praised as being very balanced despite being asymmetric. The theme and game mechanics are very tightly coupled together. For example, sharks cannot swim backward in the game because real-life sharks are the only type of fish with limited ability to swim backward due to the anatomy of their fins.
Ooh, that's a good question. To me, Tamashii seems to have a much "grander" scope. Apart from their shared neon color scheme and similar theme, I wouldn't be surprised if they play very differently from each other. But that's good news, because that means there's room for both of them on the shelf, right? :D -Chaz
@WatchItPlayed Absolutely! And if I knew a girl named Rhonda, I'd buy Kelp as well. Then I could quote the famous Beach Boys line, "Kelp me Rhonda (yeah), get her out of my shark!" (Oof.Someone, please kelp me....)
Faraway is such a great game that sees the most play due to its unique gameplay and easy setup. Love Faraway!

They both sound neat. I hope your copy arrives soon, and that you enjoy it when you get to play it. Cheers!

Omg please make Dæmon Chaz a regularly occurring bit. It was perfect.
No problem. I mean, sometimes it takes more effort NOT to speak to my cohorts that way. 😉

Rabble sounds exactly like Monikers. Am I missing something?

Moesteiro is a great game! Glad to see it getting the attention it deserves!
Indeed! :D

7:44 I choose to assume that this Pot Lid equipment card is an homage to Battle Royale.
😄 Nice catch, there!

So. I was curious if there were plans for an app version of Game Night Picks in the works?

Kelp has tiles like mahjong? Nuff said, let's play!
Indeed! The mix of mahjong-like tiles and dice-driven actions looks quite interesting. I'm looking forward to finding out more. :D

Been waiting a whole year for Kelp to release.
I hope it's worth the wait. It looks like a really interesting game design. 🙂🤞

Here again for the snow leopards!
The snow leopards are working in the Finance Department this week. I'll pass your greeting along to them. 🐆

@@WatchItPlayed much obliged
Curious to see how Metrorunner (alloneword) compares to Tamishii! Thanks (asalways) for the great video!
