How about Ultron's origin? That was a major one! In the MCU he was created by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, but in the comic books Hank Pym created him. Vision's origin could be on the list as well, since in the comic books his brainwave patterns are based on those of Simon Williams aka Wonder Man who has yet to be introduced in the MCU. In the MCU, Jarvis (Tony Stark's AI assistant) is the brain of Vision.
I am pretty sure Hank Pym’s role was reduced due to his character history. He is known for his mental instability (that’s partly why Ultron is a villain), and for hitting his wife.

We don't see him die, all we see is the Tesseract doing something to him (possibly teleporting him to Vormir and stranding him there)

I dont know anyone who wasn't excited about the red skull change. Every time I saw infinity war in theaters the audience got excited by his appearance. We were just happy to have a 7 year question answered.

In the first Thor movie, Thor wears a shirt with a nametag of his alter ego Donald Blake, who was established to be an ex-boyfriend of Jane Foster. How about Spider-Man? His entire supporting cast are different characters (and I don't mean just racially). In the comics MJ was a super hot party girl who became a top model. Flash Thompson was a dumb jock and a bully. Ned Leeds was an adult reporter who worked for the Daily Bugle. Aunt May was a very elderly woman, and so on. Also the villains were quite different in the comics. Vulture was an old man who was an inventor and a career criminal, and he was definitely not Liz Allen's father. Mysterio was a Hollywood special effects artist turned criminal, not an ex-employee of Tony Stark. And speaking of Tony Stark, he was not Peter Parker's superhero mentor in the comics. Peter Parker was a self-made hero who created his own costume and web-shooters, and who basically learned superheroing through trial and error. And that's all just off the top of my head.
Plus, Peter was a *BIG* fan of Captain America in the comics, and Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Not sure why they didn't stick with that angle? What? A boy who looks up to an awesome American hero isn't cool, but a cocky, alcoholic drunkard is much better? Then, even in the Ultimate Universe, Tony just let Pete do whatever he wanted; even Tony admitted that he was *not* meant for a mentor type relationship.
Thats really vague. Whoever told you that doesnt know a lot about Thanos and how complex his relationship is. Death has manipulated and controlled Thanos even when he was a little kid. Thanos' motivation and greed overpowered his sense to impress someone, his motivation is power compared to love in the infinity gauntlet. He sensed the feeling of boredom of not being able to be defeated during his fights, Thanos stood like a badass after taking hits from Odin and isnt afraid of gods, he will find anything to get power. Its power, his love for mistress death is complex, he actually respects his fellow enemies and even let one kiss mistress death and lead him to the afterlife. Thanos was manipulated from his childhood by the person he loved, and made him into a psychopath in the first place. Thanos will always believe that he can do better, even better than his future self who killed gods and enslaved the Hulk like a slave.
Literally no one was mad about Red Skull showing up on Vormir. Red Skull being zapped into space had been a major fan theory since the tesseract was revealed to be the time zone. People were mostly happy just to see him pop up again at all.

I reckon that because of the events of the Loki series, coupled with the fact that Disney NOW owns ALL the rest of the Marvel properties, the MCU can change whatever characters, character narratives and storylines, from whatever they have been, to whatever the writers/creatives desire them to be.
Regarding #6, I think part of it has to do with how long it took for an Ant-Man film to be made. If it was part of Phase 1, Marvel Studios may have decided to cast a young Hank Pym in his Ant-Man years. Instead they had to wait til the end of Phase 2 to release the film and with how established the MCU had already become by then, they might've thought it was better to focus on Scott Lang and have Hank be in a mentor role instead. As for #1, I am very happy Marvel Studios decided not to follow through with the comics storyline lol
I mean we kind of got to see Iron Man drunk in Iron Man 2 and I suppose it makes sense why they didn't like fully make it a thing but it was addressed. Gave you a look into what a fully drunk Iron Man would look like and I have to agree with the change as well especially since RDJ just came off of that it would be weird to just go from that experience into another character who then goes back into that you know what I mean? it would be somewhat counterproductive if you think about it. Unless maybe he acted it perfectly and fake drinks but in the editing it looks real like he's actually drinking
And DC needs to learn that way if they are trying to change a little of the comic book accurate characters and storyline because in the DCEU, other DC films, and CW DC TV series they change it way too much and way to forceful. The characters and storyline they really change it way too much and way to forceful especially the CW The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl tv series, and Batman v Superman movie. And that’s why people like me and others hate the DC films and especially the CW DC tv series so much that the rating of the shows are going down really fast immediately and people like me and others stop watching it. And they are way to force on some of these characters and storyline. They got it really ridiculous and ruined the the characters for us. They need to have someone who acts and think like Kevin Feige. Or someone who truly understand DC franchises.

These are literally the only DC tv Series that I really enjoy watching and the best DC series in all franchises. The rest of the DC series are completed shit.

Wanda was already retconned as a Witch in the MCU. And since she was a witch from her birth she is a mutant. A mutant in the Marvel Comics is a person who is born with powers. I would not be surprised if when the X-Men will be introduced, Wanda will be designed as a mutant with the X-Gene
This is why I always say some changes are good and some changes are bad but at the end of the day at least it's not a copy and paste I don't know how I would feel if Marvel was just copy and pasting everything. It wouldn't really feel that different and it probably would have made more sense just to read the comics right?
Honorable mentions. 1. Power Levels - The power levels of some heroes are altered in the MCU. Thor, Hulk, and especially Drax are nerfed in the MCU. Wanda was also nerfed but they finally rectified that with endgame and Wandavision. Carol Danvers is buffed in the MCU compared to her comic book counterpart. Comicbook Carol can't take a headbutt from Thanos,with or without the infinity gauntlet, and simply smirk back. Her ass would be laid out like everyone else. 2. Genderswaps - Taskmaster, Ancient One, Ghost, and Mar-vell are all men in the comics.
@@JamailvanWestering Not really. I've always found the Infinity Gauntlet storyline cringy as hell. There are great stories with Thanos, but in Infinity Gauntlet his a huge SIMP, nothing else. The MCU version of this story is better in general, although I would've liked more if it was less Earth centered (and if it didn't have that cringy as hell groups image during the rather mediocre final battle).

A lot of people think Thanos' reason in the comics for killing half the universe is ridiculous. But if you think about how desperate us guys are to get laid and would anything to do it, killing half the universe for love is a lot more realistic than you think.
Actually wandavison retconned the Wanda character being given powers, showing that she had powers all along but sure just ignore that whilst repeatedly referencing the show 🤷♂️
And here's another fun fact: Loki has literally no powers in Norse mythology except changing into animals and being genderfluid and he needs to eat apples to be immortal

One MCU change from the comics that we all have mixed opinions on, and that is Spider-Man’s allegiance to Iron Man instead of Captain America during the Civil War film!!
One major change deals with Professor/Merged Hulk. In the comics, the Professor/Merged Hulk is the Savage Green, the Grey Hulk, and Banner. in the MCU, there is no introduction of the Grey Hulk. You have Banner getting control of the Hulk. Professor/Merged had a mean streak to him because the Grey Hulk had a sinister edge. WIthout the Grey, MCU is giving the fans Banner Hulk (from Incredible Hulk 272-296), and calling him Professor.
I like some of the changes like thanos not being an enormous simp for death and try to impress her but rather he is doing this for a reason. Or loki costume is better thsn the comic. But in MCU are very nerfed and less varied than the marvel comic version. Thor , Dr. Strange or even hulk are very nerfed because this guy with being insanely powerful like dormamu, abomination, magog , galactus. Not to mention tha diferent version of these characters.

Always preferred DC’s Green Arrow over Hawkeye in the comics as Oliver Queen was ultimately developed into a social activist and the conscience of Green Lantern (and in cartoons, that of the Justice League; as Batman told him in the first episode, “Good. You’ll keep the rest of us Honest.” Hawkeye was a better character in the Ultimates comic series. T’Challa’s CIA friend, Everrett was a State Department paper pusher (and thorn in T’Challa’s side) in the comics. Another shift was Thor and the Asgardians talking in Shakespherean old english in the comics. Jim Rhodes in Iron Man 3 (regarding the Mandarin reveal): “Tony! I SWEAR I WILL SHOOT HIM in the FACE!” The Tesseract simply beamed the Skull to Vormir. You should’ve explained why the Ultimate version of Nick Fury was seen in the MCU instead of the classic one in the comics.
Originally, they were supposed to introduce Death in Infinity War to keep Thanos' motivation stay the same as it is in the comics. They actually did mention her when he was scene in the mid credit scene in the first Avengers movie in which he smiled hearing her name. It's possible that Thanos lied about his motivation to keep his real one a secret. So we might see Death appear in the MCU eventually.
I absolutely hated how Marvel revealed Ben Kingsley "manderian", in my opinion Ben Kingsley was perfect for the manderian role, then they reveal Guy Pierce to be this "fire/lava guy" iron man 3 isn't one of my favorites
One change that I like is that they wiped out the secret identity staff from almost everyone in a time when they can be tracked down because of the phone, tv or face recognition programs
A lot of them are different, Hawkeye started off as a villain, Thanos motives were more relatable and human, instead of using only arrow for explosives or grappling hooks Barton has arrow for multiple situations Hulk didn’t turn into toddler on Sakaar just to name a few
Bear in mind mandarins change I saw that long after Iron Man armored Adventures came out so I knew who he was supposed to be and I still was disappointed
With Scarlett Witch was actually born with her "powers", she just didn't use it to its potential until the tesseract unlocked her potential in the MCU and as for Quicksilver they don't really go much about his powers other than experimentation.
Getting rid of the whole secret identity thing was a big change. I mean, Spider-Man even his his face from the fantastic four in the comics when separated from the alien symbiotic costume. .

How about Spider-Man? His entire supporting cast are different characters (and I don't mean just racially). In the comics MJ was a super hot party girl who became a top model. Flash Thompson was a dumb jock and a bully. Ned Leeds was an adult reporter who worked for the Daily Bugle. Aunt May was a very elderly woman, and so on. Also the villains were quite different in the comics. Vulture was an old man who was an inventor and a career criminal, and he was definitely not Liz Allen's father. Mysterio was a Hollywood special effects artist turned criminal, not an ex-employee of Tony Stark. And speaking of Tony Stark, he was not Peter Parker's superhero mentor in the comics. Peter Parker was a self-made hero who created his own costume and web-shooters, and who basically learned superheroing through trial and error. And that's all just off the top of my head.
Plus, Peter was a *BIG* fan of Captain America in the comics, and Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Not sure why they didn't stick with that angle? What? A boy who looks up to an awesome American hero isn't cool, but a cocky, alcoholic drunkard is much better? Then, even in the Ultimate Universe, Tony just let Pete do whatever he wanted; even Tony admitted that he was *not* meant for a mentor type relationship.

Thats really vague. Whoever told you that doesnt know a lot about Thanos and how complex his relationship is. Death has manipulated and controlled Thanos even when he was a little kid. Thanos' motivation and greed overpowered his sense to impress someone, his motivation is power compared to love in the infinity gauntlet. He sensed the feeling of boredom of not being able to be defeated during his fights, Thanos stood like a badass after taking hits from Odin and isnt afraid of gods, he will find anything to get power. Its power, his love for mistress death is complex, he actually respects his fellow enemies and even let one kiss mistress death and lead him to the afterlife. Thanos was manipulated from his childhood by the person he loved, and made him into a psychopath in the first place. Thanos will always believe that he can do better, even better than his future self who killed gods and enslaved the Hulk like a slave.

Literally no one was mad about Red Skull showing up on Vormir. Red Skull being zapped into space had been a major fan theory since the tesseract was revealed to be the time zone. People were mostly happy just to see him pop up again at all.

It's hardly the first time a movie or comic story has used an imposter villain as a red herring.
In the comics Drax's daughter survived too and became the superheroine Moondragon.
I reckon that because of the events of the Loki series, coupled with the fact that Disney NOW owns ALL the rest of the Marvel properties, the MCU can change whatever characters, character narratives and storylines, from whatever they have been, to whatever the writers/creatives desire them to be.
Regarding #6, I think part of it has to do with how long it took for an Ant-Man film to be made. If it was part of Phase 1, Marvel Studios may have decided to cast a young Hank Pym in his Ant-Man years. Instead they had to wait til the end of Phase 2 to release the film and with how established the MCU had already become by then, they might've thought it was better to focus on Scott Lang and have Hank be in a mentor role instead.
As for #1, I am very happy Marvel Studios decided not to follow through with the comics storyline lol
I have to disagree with the Red Scull controversy, he is clearly teleported in The First Avenger and is a cool addition to Infinity War and Endgame 👌

I mean we kind of got to see Iron Man drunk in Iron Man 2 and I suppose it makes sense why they didn't like fully make it a thing but it was addressed. Gave you a look into what a fully drunk Iron Man would look like and I have to agree with the change as well especially since RDJ just came off of that it would be weird to just go from that experience into another character who then goes back into that you know what I mean? it would be somewhat counterproductive if you think about it. Unless maybe he acted it perfectly and fake drinks but in the editing it looks real like he's actually drinking
And DC needs to learn that way if they are trying to change a little of the comic book accurate characters and storyline because in the DCEU, other DC films, and CW DC TV series they change it way too much and way to forceful. The characters and storyline they really change it way too much and way to forceful especially the CW The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl tv series, and Batman v Superman movie. And that’s why people like me and others hate the DC films and especially the CW DC tv series so much that the rating of the shows are going down really fast immediately and people like me and others stop watching it. And they are way to force on some of these characters and storyline. They got it really ridiculous and ruined the the characters for us. They need to have someone who acts and think like Kevin Feige. Or someone who truly understand DC franchises.

@@marvelpugs6964 Not really but the only dc shows that I consider the best and amazing are Justice League animated series, Justice League Unlimited, Teen Titans 2003, Batman Animated series, Batman Beyond, Superman Animated series, Green Lantern Animated series, The Batman 2004, the first and maybe the second season of Batman Brave and the Bold, Young Justice, Legion of Superheroes, Static Shock animated series, kinda Gotham, and finally kinda Harley Quinn animated series it’s in the mix of good and bad. These are literally the only DC tv Series that I really enjoy watching and the best DC series in all franchises. The rest of the DC series are completed shit.

Wanda was already retconned as a Witch in the MCU. And since she was a witch from her birth she is a mutant. A mutant in the Marvel Comics is a person who is born with powers. I would not be surprised if when the X-Men will be introduced, Wanda will be designed as a mutant with the X-Gene

This is why I always say some changes are good and some changes are bad but at the end of the day at least it's not a copy and paste I don't know how I would feel if Marvel was just copy and pasting everything. It wouldn't really feel that different and it probably would have made more sense just to read the comics right?
Honorable mentions.
1. Power Levels - The power levels of some heroes are altered in the MCU. Thor, Hulk, and especially Drax are nerfed in the MCU. Wanda was also nerfed but they finally rectified that with endgame and Wandavision. Carol Danvers is buffed in the MCU compared to her comic book counterpart. Comicbook Carol can't take a headbutt from Thanos,with or without the infinity gauntlet, and simply smirk back. Her ass would be laid out like everyone else.
2. Genderswaps - Taskmaster, Ancient One, Ghost, and Mar-vell are all men in the comics.
Drax in the comics rocking that moustache and playing a saxophone??? That’s Ron Swanson!!!

@@JamailvanWestering Not really. I've always found the Infinity Gauntlet storyline cringy as hell. There are great stories with Thanos, but in Infinity Gauntlet his a huge SIMP, nothing else. The MCU version of this story is better in general, although I would've liked more if it was less Earth centered (and if it didn't have that cringy as hell groups image during the rather mediocre final battle).

IDC what anyone would say, if I were in charge of the MCU, I would have made all the movies and characters as comic accurate as possible, especially the brightly colored costumes
A lot of people think Thanos' reason in the comics for killing half the universe is ridiculous. But if you think about how desperate us guys are to get laid and would anything to do it, killing half the universe for love is a lot more realistic than you think.
Actually wandavison retconned the Wanda character being given powers, showing that she had powers all along but sure just ignore that whilst repeatedly referencing the show 🤷♂️

One major change deals with Professor/Merged Hulk. In the comics, the Professor/Merged Hulk is the Savage Green, the Grey Hulk, and Banner.
in the MCU, there is no introduction of the Grey Hulk. You have Banner getting control of the Hulk. Professor/Merged had a mean streak to him because the Grey Hulk had a sinister edge. WIthout the Grey, MCU is giving the fans Banner Hulk (from Incredible Hulk 272-296), and calling him Professor.

I like some of the changes like thanos not being an enormous simp for death and try to impress her but rather he is doing this for a reason. Or loki costume is better thsn the comic. But in MCU are very nerfed and less varied than the marvel comic version. Thor , Dr. Strange or even hulk are very nerfed because this guy with being insanely powerful like dormamu, abomination, magog , galactus. Not to mention tha diferent version of these characters.

Always preferred DC’s Green Arrow over Hawkeye in the comics as Oliver Queen was ultimately developed into a social activist and the conscience of Green Lantern (and in cartoons, that of the Justice League; as Batman told him in the first episode, “Good. You’ll keep the rest of us Honest.” Hawkeye was a better character in the Ultimates comic series.

Originally, they were supposed to introduce Death in Infinity War to keep Thanos' motivation stay the same as it is in the comics. They actually did mention her when he was scene in the mid credit scene in the first Avengers movie in which he smiled hearing her name. It's possible that Thanos lied about his motivation to keep his real one a secret. So we might see Death appear in the MCU eventually.
I absolutely hated how Marvel revealed Ben Kingsley "manderian", in my opinion Ben Kingsley was perfect for the manderian role, then they reveal Guy Pierce to be this "fire/lava guy" iron man 3 isn't one of my favorites
One change that I like is that they wiped out the secret identity staff from almost everyone in a time when they can be tracked down because of the phone, tv or face recognition programs
The only thing I know is different from the movies and the comics is black panther
A lot of them are different, Hawkeye started off as a villain, Thanos motives were more relatable and human, instead of using only arrow for explosives or grappling hooks Barton has arrow for multiple situations Hulk didn’t turn into toddler on Sakaar just to name a few

I actually liked the Mandarin MCU twist. I never liked the mandarin as a villain. Plus the One Shot about the Mandarin was hilarious.
With Scarlett Witch was actually born with her "powers", she just didn't use it to its potential until the tesseract unlocked her potential in the MCU and as for Quicksilver they don't really go much about his powers other than experimentation.
