Thank you so much for this video, today someone tried to charge me 300 dollars to repair this same tablet for just my screen being disconnected. It wasn't till i watched your video i became aware of what might have gone wrong with my tablet. Your video saved my life spending and the guy denied trying to scam me but i am grateful to you for this knowledge. It is sad how far they try to hurt ignorant people with simple fixes.
Why did manufacturers decide to make it difficult to repair a product you have spent your hard earned cash on? I miss the days of replaceable batteries and torx screws.
@Bee Akough Huh, they say so🤣 In reality they just want to get more money. Usually Li-Ion or Li-Pol batteries last 2-3 years after which their capacity drops down. Few years back we could just swipe out older battery for the newer one for a few bucks and continue with it for some more years. Now an average consumer has no idea of how to remove the back panel and the battery without damaging the thing, so they just buy a new phone which brings more money to companies. It is also possible to replace it at official repair stores, but it will cost you about 2 or 3 times more than just the battery, which makes buying a new device an easier option. This applies not only to batteries, but for any part of the device.
Some say it's done for the IP68 rating, but we had water resistant phones with removable batteries back in the day, so that's not an argument.
@@marks9127 Yea that is a strategy to ensure regular inflow of cash to the companies. Good thing the 'right to repair' movement is gaining momentum. Soon the manufacturers will be slapped with repair-ability laws. I wouldn't mind spending a fortune on a flagship phone if I knew I can easily change battery (and other parts) thereby being able to use the phone for at least 5 years.
@@lenanaH Actually it's because the general public doesn't want chunky electronics with exposed screws all over. Sleek design and easy repairability do not generally go hand in hand. And I shouldn't have to say which of those qualities the vast majority of the public would prefer. Nobody is trying to do repairs on products themselves outside of a very small number of individuals. So that's what these companies focus on. Also most people get protection plans of some sort on these things so if they break they just swap it for a new one with maybe a small service fee.
@@marks9127 Having a sealed IP rated device is much more reliable than what was done on previous devices. IP rated devices that were able to be opened were sketchy at best and downright unreliable at worst. Opens up too many avenues for user error.
@@stephenpatterson8056 I'm afraid you are right :(
Great Video!! You are one of the first, who makes a teardown of the Tab S6. Also, carefully preserve those beautiful hands and fingernails while working with the sharp materials!! Great quality content overall, keep it up 💪👍
TIP: If you don't have a hot air gun or heat plate you can heat a pan on low heat with a paper towel between it and the the tablet. I dropped my tablet and the screen was black unless I pinched the screen and backing hard at a certain spot. This video helped me pinpoint that it was the screen ribbon cable that had come unseated so I was able to repair it in about 10 minute.
I was waiting so long for this! Thank you!
thank you so much for the video, my tab screen just separated from the body..... this disassembly steps give me insights to repair 👌🏼
The number of screws is absolutely insane..😳
Atleast they same size
Hi, i enjoy watching your video. Can you please show us also on how to replaced a broken screen? Thanks.
Holy cow, I have replaced the battery in my Samsung Tab 4 and once you get the back off you just released a couple of cables and pry the battery off of the adhesive. The S6 looks like it requires a safecracker or a jewel thief. Of course that is a complete disassembly, really just need to know what it takes to get the battery out.
Same here!!! I wa wondering what's the earliest point the battery can come out!!! I guess this is not the video for battery replacement 🤣
Super gemacht, soviel Arbeit!
My tab s6 has the exact top half of the screen freeze like a ghost image until I gently press on the back center of the tablet & screen at the same time - I'm thinking its a lose connection & this vid has given my the courage to open it up & find out. Thank you!
Mine is having the same problem,i have not dropped it but half of the screen has white and black lines,if you press the screen on the bottom left corner the lines disappear and the screen works perfectly.i have gone to the repair they say it’s a motherboard problem by looking without opening it inside but i think it’s a loose connection..
Did you fix your tablet?
@@johnalex4384
I hate to hear that man. I ended up selling mine as for parts & picking up a cheap replacement off ebay.
I just need the glass replaced. Everything else is good.
Same
Samsung tried telling me it would be $400 to fix
Did you end up getting only the glass (digitizer) fixed? Was it possible?
@@nathanmartin1338 They are right, glass only repairs on Super AMOLED displays are near impossible.
The best way to fix a crack is to replace the whole display for 380 dollars.
I'm watch on my Tab S6,it's very scared
Same here lol

Watching this made me realise that I'd better leave it to a more experienced person to replace cracked glass. 😁
What heat setting are you using?
Me encanta, esta perfecto!
Hola oye sabes dónde puedo comprar todo el display
Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Sm-t860
De ese en específico lo busco y nomás no me sale nada
Te lo agradecería mucho
Do tab s7/s7 plus teardown
Do S7 ones too
Why does the Tab S6 sound so much better than the S4? Are those speakers bigger?
Yeah
You are the best 😘
Where can I buy the replacement screen for a tab s6? I can't find them anywhere.
Hi. I am from Malaysia. I want to make request to you to show repair old camera Canon Legria Mini X? I hope you can show in your next video. Thank you.
Hard work keep it up
Do you need to reapply the glue?
If possible
You are phone repeir technician
Where can I purchase the suction device you used to lift the screen? Thanks
Look for a battery that comes with a little tool kit with the suction cup and screwdriver(s) and the guitar pick looking doohickey. Usually they are included.
Can you help me? My Samsung tab s6 lite, can't be open. It's totally black, black screen. Won't charge.
Hii , could u gimme the planes about Samsung Galaxy tab s6 pls ,
what's song?
if i just want to replace the battery, do i have to remove it all? or just a few? Please reply! Thank you
Just follow the tutorial.. remove parts until you're able to free the battery.
good video shame there is no commentary
What is this music?! I need it
Yo tengo una s7 + es posible que le instalen la antena 5g ?
Wow, they did not make it easy to get to the battery...😥
so the battery is replacable ? at least laptop can be used with AC adapter and for how many years this batteries in S6 will last ?
Good question. I bet it depends heavily on the usage pattern. If you recharge every day from 0% to 100%, probably in 2 or 3 years the battery will completely die or work for very short periods. If you recharge once a day from 25 to 75%, it could live a lot more time with good performance.
@@21753117 thanks also what about slow usb charging is it changing anything ?
@@WildBeret I always slow charge, between 25% and 75% battery level. If you plan to hold on to you S6 for more than 2 years, it's the way to go. The slower the charge, the lower the current, hence less heat. Heat slowly kills batteries.
Also the more time you stay at very low charge battery levels (0-15%) or very high charge battery levels (85%-100%) the more the battery degrades.
You probably won't notice in 12 to 18 months, but in the long run (24 months or more) you will certainly keep good battery performance when slow charging between 25% to 75% battery charge range. In the same 24 month or longer period, a 0% to 100% overnight fast charging habit will clearly degrade your battery performance.
There's an app called Battery Alarm that warns you whenever you need to connect or disconnect your charger cable, you can set your lower and higher level, this helps a lot to avoid going too low or too high.
How can I tell if I have a super amoled screen or lid on my tab s6? Please respond back
Every Tab S6 has an OLED screen unlike the S6 Lite.
The S6 Lite model has a LCD panel
I'm waiting for tab s7 and s7+, samsung
You will be waiting for teardown samsung galaxy tab s7/s7+
Can you tear down the LDC from the glass, please?
You can't separate the Super AMOLED panel from the glass like any other LCD as they are bound together.
You need a 3000 dollar machine to do it and not every repair shop has it, so the best buy most expensive way is to just replace the whole display for 380 dollars.
After watching this, stupid me thinks tabs6 is made from a screen, battery, 4 speakers and whole lot of screws
