Rev knows he has to keep loba alive, she’s the only one keeping him alive. She’s not scared for herself getting hurt, she’s scared for others. Rev probably knows himself if he kills anyone loba actually loves then his chance for death is basically 0. Right now he could still have a redemption arc, the second he attempts to off valk then it’s over for him, he will never die. Everything is basically in lobas hands
Revenant wants to hurt Loba after the stunt she pulled on Olympus (sending Rev's source code to god knows where) and he knows the only way to truly achieve that is killing the one she loves again, making her relive that heart wretching moment like when she was a child.
Thats the thing, revenant wont kill valk or anyone she loves, he'll use then to try and get the location of his source code. By use the i mean keep hostage or try to get it out of loba by putting her in a position where she has to choose.
I personally don't think revenant can actually kill loba "easily" like everyone thinks he can. Loba and him are on equal terms. Not only has she trained all her life to fight him, they compete in the Apex games which puts them on the same skill level.
Especially since loba knows everything about revenant and revenant knows everything about loba, they would always end in a tie.
Revenant knows that and wants to hurts loba by killing the person she loves maybe that will piss her off and kill him.🙃

As a rev main it’s disappointing what his character has become in the lore and I understand why he can’t kill other legends (yet) cuz it will wouldn’t make sense gameplay wise. he’s just a jobber now, he literally gets shit on every fight and used for information.

Lore wise Rev should logically be the strongest character in the game... But for some reason respawn has a habbit of making the most powerful characters look like jokes

Maybe Wraith too with all the teleporting and listening to voices. I mean she maybe doesn't see the future like Mantis (Guardians of the Galaxy) but having real-time warnings + tp is super strong in my eyes.
Well every character in the game is some of the strongest people so when you put revenant against them makes him look pretty normal. Hes fighting super geniuses, prestiged soilders, Sentient robots, cyborgs, interdimential beings and a Mirage.
Jack losing BT was and still is miles more heartbreaking than either of their stories idc what anyone says

Yes the difference between jack and BT vs everybody else is that the whole campaign is focused on seeing jack and bt’s friendship grow. You spend 4 hours bonding with this friendly robot while their story is just 3 to 4 minutes (and the saddest of is apex ashleaigh’s story tbh )

I mean Rev, from a lore perspective has been getting reckless & recently promised he’d wait for the opportune moment to take everything from loba. I think in a season or two we’ll see him get some proper development. Until then I think valk definitely needed this as did loba given she’s only ever been motivated by and obsessed with his death.
As a loba main, i absolutely love this. Love the lore on all legends but when it comes to yours it really hits you a certain way

As much as i love the lore and the character development Apex brings out, I hate that due to it, some characters are forced to behave the way they are due to plot armor and just how it would mess up the story. Like rev cant do shit except maybe kill someone that Loba knows thats outside of the games, or how I dont think Dr. Reed is gonna be free from ashe and vice versa because of the voice lines and i dont think theyre willing to make new whole set of lines for her and etc.
I completely agree, I love the character development in this game, but it feels like the writer(s?) have trapped themself in a corner. Overuse of archetypes is a large problem in the writing and I genuinely think that the writers can do better.
I see that, but also look what they did with Watson and caustic, it might not be sudden, but I think they are more than willing to change things up. Respawn seem to actually have decent writers, so I’m hopeful.

This was Wholesome, I like that we get some shipping time with the legends... Still I don't like how they are handling Revenant now, I feel Apex is becoming this lovely place of friendship, rainbows and sunshine, when is a freaking blood sport, i know all of them have Backstory and a lot of interesting relationships but I want to see more, drama and their problems, I feel almost all of the legends are just basically friends between each other, the most antagonistic of legends are now either reedmed or treated like a joke, Caustic? is stuck in some kind of redemption arc and they don't know what to do with him, Revenant? They are treating him like a joke and just this cartoon villain when in his Lore the guy killed a lot of people and got the syndicate scared, I really hope Ash changes things around, but from what I've been seeing lately I don't think it's gonna matter, they will either treated her like a joke or give her some kind of redemption arc.
It's because EA and Respawn are a bunch of happy-go-lucky, rainbow snowflakes and they can only make good, harsh, real world content if it's to further their agenda of making all of their games be about gay relationships and "I was bad now I'm good" characters.

That’s why I miss season 5 during the broken ghost where it had a good plot and character development. The legends had relationships but it wasn’t all rainbows and sunshine. And revenant was an actual terrifying villain.

As much as I love Valk and Loba, I really think one of them needs to be be taken down by Rev. He’s just not the big bad he was when he was first released. Or just something to put Rev back on top to be feared at this point everyone sees him as a joke
The amount of people who took Rev seriously are adorable. I feel like one of the points of adding Ash was to show what a truly evil simulacrum looks like, and humanize Revenant. Revenant was never truly evil, just broken.
