@@simonegodwin7449 Perhaps. However, when the whole family gets sick and you still have to work and your wife needs urgent care and is prego with twins... for me, the house would have been last on my list. I definitely would have called in the maid once the house wasn't contagious. 😊👍

It's UA-cam! She showed us the half hour (or so) that she had motivation and energy to clean & tidy. Remember to be kind to yourself. I'm sure most of us could do a small 15 sprint of cleaning before retiring in an exhausted lump that she didn't show, but did tell us she did.
She's amazing! and inspiring, but remember, it's all relevant.

I would still hear "What do I do?!" In a panic tone. Our little man is the
First kiddo for hubby to be around so he was the guy holding the stinky and sick kid going "What do I do" ...getting better. Maybe by kid two (if we have another) or by the time our little guy is five hubs will have that "...but they are alive" lol
Just wanted to say thank you for keeping your family members who are unwell from the public. Not many people do that and as the result flu spreads quickly!

Yessssssssss - I wish more people were as sensible. I used to work in a school, the amount of kids that got sent in really sick made me so angry I ended up switching careers. If you have the flu, stay indoors and sleep it off!

You poor thing. I couldn't imagine being that preggers and miserable. But I pray everyone in your house is healthy and recovering nicely. And no one cares that you had no makeup on, still beautiful , and that's real life like you said.

I think I speak for most, if not all, of your followers when I say, 1) You don't need it to be beautiful; and 2) We don't watch you for your beauty, anyway -- we watch you for your genius ideas, your personality and your sense of humor. We just love you and your family, and love is more than skin deep.
Go easy on yourself right now, Mama. Pneumonia recovery is s-l-o-w. Give yourself lots of grace. Patience. It'll all be back to normal eventually. REST.

Thank you for making all your children (including the boys) help you clean the house. Growing up, my dad would never make my brother do any type of cleaning (sweeping, wiping counters, etc) because he was “old school” and he felt that all that was a woman’s job. It’s nice to see your boys help you out!
As someone who has Fibromyalgia and has a "flu" day every day, I think teaching your children to do the basics around the house is fundamental.
Not only does it get stuff done but it teaches children to be empathetic and empowered

Although I empathise with wanting to get back on track after plague (same thing happened to my whole family last week), I worry about Jordan overdoing it. 3rd trimester is hard enough, without twins, and without pneumonia. Poor lady should stay in bed for a few more days.

Shout out to your hero husband for Keeping Everyone Alive :)...Great tips on what to do in the aftermath of a sickness hit...I also like to dispose of all used toothbrushes and diffuse essential oils like clove and cinnamon to basically clean the air...Glad that you and the kids are on the mend!
That's a really good idea. We're getting over the flu too and using my diffuser and oils hadn't even occurred to me. Thanks!

Can you do a video about how often you wash/clean everything in your house? For example things like towels, sheets, inside of fridge, mopping the kitchen, etc.

When I was married I wasn't "allowed" to have the flu. The first day(first few hours) was okay. Next day, back to doing everything in the home. He was too busy watching TV to help. Plus, "that's woman's work". I'm glad I'm single. Lol
Uh I don't know what you mean by claiming that cleaning it's woman's work . I believe in my opinion that it has to be fair , Husband and kids live inside the home so that means everyone needs to put in they're two cents . Well I was raised that no matter what a home must always be clean and everyone in the family needs to pitch in guy or lady but I guess if you believe it is only a woman's job you do your way.

Wow this was my household for the last 3 weeks. I'm 39 weeks pregnant with baby #5! We had a respiratory infection.....I spent all week cleaning and disinfecting before baby gets here. I'm glad you're well! Take care momma! Rest up a lot!

Part of my kids’ chores through the week is to Lysol commonly touched things in our home and I rotate that between kids. Just about every day we are disinfecting the remotes, phone, fridge handle, door knobs, light switches and devices (we don’t use those much). We don’t get sick often (not at all last winter,) and I swear by this preventative measure.
Real life is what I love. No one is put together all the time and I respect people who acknowledge and even share that truth

You're so blessed to have a husband who helps!!! When I was young and had little ones, I didn't dare get sick. My husband rarely helped and was very demanding!!! The house looked like a bomb went off when I was I'll!!!

When sick I rely on prepped food, delivery and snacks as much as everyone in the family wants and I check out the guilt!!!!
My family really helped me out with deliveries so I could quarantine :)

I got the flu about three weeks ago. Laundry piled up, house was dirty, no groceries, no homework done. When moms get sick, life stops!😂 I did wipe things down with Clorox wipes so that my kids would not get sick, and they didn’t! Thank God🙏🏽 After I got over, I clean the house and switch towels, toothbrushes, I wipe the toothpaste tubes, remote controls, door knobs and all surfaces.
Jordan. I feel like we were in similar shoes lately. I'm 37 weeks pregnant (with just 1 this time, but my twins are 2 + plus all the older kids) and got hit hard with a terrible cough/cold. I was miserable and trying my best just to literally survive (and oh the 2 year olds had some adventures/ entertained themselves each day). To make matters worse, just in the thick of it, I got an angry tooth and had to see the dentist. My whole right jaw swole up and throbbing pain (I was left wishing I could take something more than tylenol). Now I'm on an antibiotic and after 3 days I'm feeling like maybe I can tackle something very small, but slightly overwhelmed. I just got my first decent night sleep in over a week. At this point I'm just cycling through laundry for my large, young family. It still needs storted and folded. Throwing loads of dishes in dishwasher on pots and pans setting. A friend volunteered to come over tomorrow and I'm going to swallow my pride and take some help!
Hang in there Jordan. You're growing 2 babies and that is a huge feat in and of itself.

My Hubby and I have 7 kids between the 2 of us and we always gave them zones to clean up. Love, Love, Love! They're all functioning adults now, 20 - 29. They all survived!!! Whoohoo!

So glad yall are all getting better my daughter got the flu last weekend and this week one of my boys got the flue and strep throat. Boo to sickness so glad it's over.
Love this! So sorry you were sick, but so glad you’re better! Though I don’t think we had the flu, my hubby and I were down for 3+ weeks off and on and I feel like I’m just now getting to place of order, health, and sanity. Tidying is the first thing I do, then getting back on track with dishes and meals is top priority. Now that those things are in a better routine it’s time to get my body back into shape again too.
