Maxime is already fitting in perfectly. As ever, thank you for the laughter.
Maybe coached by Benoit or maybe Nathan?
I love when my favorite show gets a new cast member
Speaking of Nathan, what is he doing these days?
Anna, I think you made the right decision to focus on your design business. You're a wonderful creative and need an outlet for your artistic spirit to soar to new heights! All the best from your Minnesotan fan in America!
Love your videos, although I miss the more classical music. It was a perfect fit with your chateau’s style
Noted!
Omg you guys actually answered 🥹🥹💕 Keep up the good work
Hello, parabéns ! 😊👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻♥️🌍🇧🇷
I think it was long overdue to seek for more help. I always thought your muscles must hurt like hell and you probably have troubles with tendonitis. Anna you are such a great artist - you should have more time for doing what you love like painting murals, making tiles, wallpapers, perhaps working with fabric. And perhaps start a business out of your design work - I think it would flourish in no time. Good decision ❤!
I love the humor of the banter between everyone. Anna, sorry about your scissors. I’m glad you made the decision to give the plaster, sanding, painting to someone else. Maxime will do a good job while you work on your business and design the wallpaper. The rooms are looking wonderful, and Philipp, you get an A for effort. xx
Thank you so much!😅
Anna, from the very start of the Chateau journey I have been in total awe of the amount of time and skill you have put into the decoration of each room. Now you have the new online venture in hand it's definitely time to 'rest on your laurels' and enjoy some 'me time'. Perhaps also put a padlock on your box of scissors 🤭
ALWAYS put your scissors behind a padlock!
Anna! There shouldn't be any shame or guilt involved in hiring help. The both of you have put in an insurmountable amount of work into your beautiful home, and hiring someone to accomplish this even further is only another step into finishing the project. The skills and eye of you and Phillip aren't to be questioned, you do incredible work.
I wanted to do the painting in my renovation to save money and because I had done so much of it I thought I could be just as fast and efficient. Not even close, my contractor talked me out of it and it was a good thing because when my drywall plaster guys got in there and finished it and then the painters came in and finished the painting it was far quicker and superior to anything I could have ever done myself and with the help of my family members. Professional workmanship when done correctly is priceless!!!!
It was good to see Maxime added to the mix, it was great to hear the banter between the four of them. I love to hear laughter while they all work together. It was the right thing to do Anna, bringing extra help, you can't be everywhere at the same time x
I've been watching y'all for years now. Wouldn't miss it. Love what you do! Can't wait to see the Master Suite.
Hi from Australia, I'm new here....doing a fantastic job, you both have a great sense of humor.
You should take your wallpaper design and create a collection of silk neck scarves🧡
Yes!!!!!
What a sensible decision! Best not to get swamped with work---bad for the morale!
OMG I need a Maxime! An extra pair of talented painting hands is such a blessing to have. Speaking from experience, he’s a life saver. Welcome Maxime! 🇨🇦. Oh yes the plaster magic does need a break 😂.
Anna, I agree about the fabric scissors! Even my grandchildren know not to use the fabric only scissors! 😮😬
Hard and fast rule at my house. My husband likes to tease me about it but he knows not to follow through😂
I'm the same my precious kitchen knives. Remember nearly having a heart attack walking in on someone using one to open a can of paint! He broke the tip off and was like "You can still use it"). Amazingly, I allowed him to continue living 😂😂
When they hear that my scissors cost over $100USD, they tend to treat them a little better. I usually keep a pair out that I don't mind them using. Still fabric scissors, but just cheap and replaceable.
Why doesn’t Phillip have his own sets of scissors?
Philip, what progress you have made in the bathroom. Anna by all means you need help painting. I would have cried “help” long ago. The mud room was work intensive. It is such an enjoyment watching your vlogs. Carry on, gentlemen. It’s time to go back to work. ❤
Phillip, you have become so much better at measuring! Look at all of those perfect drywall pieces for the windows!
I can't believe it has been 5 years already. All of you have done a wonderful job-beautiful results.
I really enjoy the moment when Benoit and Vincent appear. They are cheerful and it is very contagious. Anyway, what is your plan with the attic of coach house? If I were you Anna, I would make it into my attelier. Yes, attelier on coach house attic.
LOL I'm EXACTLY the same way about my fabric scissors - and so is my Mother before me. It's a thing, Phillip. Even from way over here across the pond in Texas :)
Lol, it so is. I remember my mum telling me off for using her sewing scissors
LOL

You all work so hard . We miss Nathan we need more French lessonstt
Maxim is a hoot! I look forward to many delegated painting projects in the future.
Loved the classical music when Phillipp was installing the window sills. Also, Anna, you looked gorgeous in that burgundy sweater!
Anna I get it... I do not like to relinquish a project either. You can only stretch oneself so far then something will snap. Let your painter assist you, seems he has helped Phillip a bit already...lol looking forward to seeing your final selection of colors for the bedroom...it will be wonderful. Always so much fun to see Benoit...he is hilarious. Love and hugs always 🤗💖
👍❤️🙏😘
What an enormous amount of work! The wonderful plasterer is doing an amazing job. Philip never ceases to amaze me. Benoit is so much fun too. He's so clever. I'm sure everything will look beautiful painted, Anna. How exciting!
I don’t know what all of us “viewers will do when you finish these stunning renovations”. There is much more than the renovations that bring us joy; it is your sense of humour, the fun you both have with each other and your support people. It puts a little bit more light into my life as I am sure it does so many others. I love your channel so thank you from the bottom of my heart. :) 😊❤
Truth is that if you are competant, doing it yourself saves vast amounts of money, however if you do have the disposable cash, getting trades in to do the work can really move things along, like all things it's a balance, sooner its finished, sooner you can start generating revenue, but if as you suggest you have another possibly more profitable cash stream, then it makes sense to contract the work out. Good luck.
Love all your videos. Glad you show the good, the bad, and the ugly (but it’s mostly good with you!). Always fun to see the interactions between all of you. Have a great week. Greetings from Bend, Oregon
DIdn't you want to put insulation in around those window casings to keep the cold air and drafts out? before you closed them off?
Noticed the same, specially with the current single glass windows..
Phillip finally got caught, using Anna´s fabric sissors! But luckily in front of the camera, there was no scolding!
Don´t want to imagine if he got an earfull off camera! ( Joking, it´s just real live!)
Great episode, welcome Maxime, you are fitting perfectly into this chaotic but wonderful st of people!
Best choice of music ever. There should be an award just for that. Excellent content.
Yayyyyy, Maxim!!! Well done!! Thanks for helping out!
Welcome, Maxime! It is wonderful you can add yet another amazing craftsman to the mix.
I have felt that guilt before, when you choose to let go of a task you feel you should be doing yourself. It can be very difficult, but I am sure that by now, Anna, you are feeling the relief and gratitude that comes when we share our burdens and receive good help. 🥰
You are so blessed having parents on both sides. .
Realizing you need help is really wise! Renovations will go a lot faster and it is probably good for your health. You can only do so much! Always remember, one day at a time!! 🌹
Anna you do such a good job with your painting! But I am glad that you have some help now. You can only stretch yourself so far. I laugh and cry over the scissors. I have lost so many pairs of sewing scissors to my family. ( I have always hid the best ones). The cheaper scissors end up used by husband and kids. Ha Ha! (now you can buy that expensive German pair!) Have a good week!
Hello from Cape Town, South Africa 🐾
I am glad you hired Maxime. You have so much to do and his help will lift some of the work off 6our shoulders. I understand your feeling of doing it all yourself, I often feel that way too. Enjoy Maxime’s help.
All of your hard work certainly pays off. I love your design choices.
I definitely think you should get some more help with the painting. You have so much talent in design, please don’t feel obligated to continue to do all the work. Use what God gave you. Don’t hide your talents. Crack on!😀❤
God?
@@BwInNewJersey I would not come at you for your personal beliefs, so step back !😤
@@margielynch7196Unlike you I didn’t assume my ‘personal’ beliefs on anyone like you did.
@@BwInNewJersey You are just a fool, who creeps around on you-tube looking for something you can get offended by. Good luck with that.
Good decision to get help prepping and painting so you can do other things that only you can do. Also, poor fabric scissors 😂
Hello from Stockholm Sweden 🇸🇪😄
Wow getting there! Painting means your getting close! Well done everyone!
Seems to me like you have the perfect excuse to buy some new fabric scissors, Anna, and maybe some other new craft supplies for your atelier too as compensation 😉
Might be worth looking for a lock for the atelier door too, just in case Phillip needs scissors again 😂
Comunque, c'è sempre un'enorme quantità di lavoro svolto meticolosamente.
Complimenti davvero
Was thinking the Coach House would be perfect for Anna, simply because by walking there from the home gives Anna time to change from home Anna to working Anna. It’s always nice to keep that distance between home and work. Whereas when it’s a room in the home too many home distractions will invade the space over time.
Great move on getting a new helper Anna, you have done such a great job with the painting and designing in the past so much so it has given birth to a whole new opening to creating your very own online classes with the ability of using your creative talents to help others to achieve their own dreams.❤
Anna, I've seen several advertisements for fabric scissors called Guggenhein®. They're touted to be the best, can cut through many layers, even denim seams, etc. They look very different than regular scissors. Unfortunately they don't come equipped with an alarm should people touch them without permission. 😅
Thanks for the tip!😀
Life is a succession of seasons; embrace this new one with joy and a renewed focus on your design work!!! Phillip has Benoit, you now have Maxime!!!! Blessings!!!
Bravo à Maxime pour le travail de qualité sur le plâtre!! Déjà hâte de voir ses outils pour l'application de peinture!!
What a great week. You have gotten so much done and even expanded your work force! Maxime will fit in well.
Hello from Switzerland 🇨🇭 Many congratulations on all your work! I love your channel ❤
Paint sprayers are a good solution to get job done in no time. Extremely efficient if you have to paint large surface like you new ensuite. They cost a fraction of human labor and are more efficient. I watch many chateau renovation channels and cannot understand the reason it is not popular in France.
It's because spraying doesn't give the right texture for a Chateau, especially on plaster.
Taping and mudding is very hard but I am sure once you get the hang of it you can make a tidy living. We always just put up the drywall and get someone else to do it. It makes so much dust.
You are heroes! It is a titanic undertaking, I could not have done even half of it. They have great merits! May Almighty God allow you to reap the fruits of all your work. And the important thing is that they are very well and happy as a family! Many blessings to all.🙏🏻✝️🙏🏻❤🍀🌷🏅🏅🌳🌳🏤🌳🌳🌾🌾🌲🌲
Greetings from Tasmania!
Snow is so beautiful! I'm sure you will miss your parents. You have lots of projects to do ... give yourself a break and you should not feel guilty! You work very hard also Phillip! You both deserve help on some of these projects. lol lol you all are so funny!!! He does amazing work. lol lol Anna's scissors!!!
Thankyou,so much for sharing all you guys do. I love it, wish I could be there to help. The fun road trips ,,music and video's are A+ quality. Born Calif., but living in Alabama. Again, Thanks
Always some good chuckles. Anna, good for you for getting help. You have enough on your plate, not to mention your girls. I always enjoy for vlogs. Thank you 🤗🇨🇦
Great idea getting help. It will seem like magic it will go quickly. How wonderful!
This was very enjoyable. It looks like they are going to be amazing spaces ! I'm looking forward to your colour choices. Bon Chance !
That’s what it is, the smashing humor that sells these videos. Please 😂enjoying this Abbot and Castello stooging your way to some fin
Fiskars cloth Scissors? Finnish quality is just the best
I love watching an expert doing plaster work. Maxime is obviously very talented.
Can we get an update on how Nathan is doing at cullinary school? Maybe pop by for a french lesson?
You have amazing taste I’m sure whatever colour you pick will suit your Chateau.🥂
The scissors !!! 👀😆que risa!!! One of The best parts of my sunday is you guys! ❤👍Love from 🇲🇽Mexico
Wow... You know how to clickbait! Not angry as I love the sries.
Hello from Pamplona 😊
life lesson: "Stop doing jobs that I'm not qualified for"
Excellent decision to employ Maxiem already proving his worth annd fitting in so well with the team, looking forward to seeing Annas designs love her wallpapers 😊
I feel so identified in you Phillip, being trilingual myself (Spanish, German and English) sometimes I want to turn around and scream "Des isch mir alles Wurscht" and then I would have to explain myself and my soul dies a little inside.
😂
thanks god he is an expert haha ( sure with the supervision of benoit haha )
Très beau travail de tous les côtés, bravo. 🌹🌹🌹
Great job. So glad you got help.
I'm so relieved for u Anna! Excellent call on the painting
Wise choice, Anna. Philip isn't carrying his weight. Too much malingering interspersed with mistakes. Crack the whip.
I just want to see the renovations in a fairly fast pace and what your thought process is behind the decisions. Who does the actual execution, I do not care about. As long as you are still involved and share the why behind design decisions, I will be content.
Welcome to Maxime, doing a great job already! 👏👏👏
Welcome Maxiem, im so glad there is someone there to give Phillip his much needed down time, the poor man is exhausted 😂 Anna carry on 😅
You seem to have a great group of kind and talented people helping. Good to see you getting some much needed support 😊🇦🇺💕
always a bright spot on the sunday landscape. thanks for posting!
The Mom Guilt is rough - feeling guilty about making perfectly reasonable accommodations for your self and your health is TOO common. Glad you hired Maxime. Good idea!
'Bordeaux Life' has Louie to help Edd with the renovation.
Anna has Maxine to help with finishing and painting!!
Hello from western Michigan. Philipp, was this your last plumbing job?????
Last big plumbing job, hopefully! :)
🔓 New character unlocked: Maxime
You folks never fail to entertain us! Thank you for another good one!
Wow more people that are making progress in no time not that you phil dont do great work 😊😊😊❤
💕Practice makes perfect💕
A very good decision bringing in extra help
Здравствуйте! С большим интересом смотрю Ваши видео.❤
As love the humor and its always nice to see Benoit and Vincent. Maxime seems to be fitting well and does an excellent job. Looking forward to seeing the progress made in the next vlog 😍😘
The fabric scissors!!!😮😮😭🙃 As a sewist, that burns deep 😆
Oh don't we all wish we had either a "fast work" button or (since fast speed doesn't work in real life) a team like Benoit & Maxime (& Benoit's assistant but I can't recall his name, sorry!). We can all dream. And Anna---don't be silly, it's wonderful to hire someone to help out with those jobs that take so much time & energy. It would be one thing if yo had a little 3-bedroom cottage, but this is a CHATEAU. cottage small, chateau big, woman busy! Oh, & Philipp is getting so good at many things (taping excepted, but that is hard, I utterly suck at it, mine always ended up looking like the craters & mountains of the moon.).
Do you know the two boys who are doing up the 'Chateau de Trois Cloches' near you ? They seem really fun, I think that they are English but as we say in Scotland "some English people can be quite nice" ! hihihihi
There are so many , Chateau De Montmagner 16 th century
You both turn everything beautiful, even this channel is my favorite. So blessed. ❤ Are you both still turning the other buildings into rental spaces?
I’m so glad y’all got some help! You can’t do it all.
Good decision Anna to get some help. 👍
Philipp, I think you owe Anna a bouquet of fabric scissors for Valentines Day!!!! 😆 Along with something that’s actually romantic 😉🇨🇦👍🏻
Philip what is your trade ?
Great decision to hire more help. And thanks for demoing proper mudding. Someone recently taught me that the wider trowel is the key. I could see that Maxime was using the trowel to do the work, so that less sanding would be required.
