I dont know if this style of vlog was harder to compile/edit, but I really like these day-in-the-life ones on top of your normal chateau transformation videos. They're unpredictable and heartwarming. ❤️
Words of wisdom from Anna’s heart about spending time with the girls. Thank you for sharing your day with us. A very nice mixture of food, fun, garden work, and Iggy!!!
I love Honfleur in winter. It is not quite so overrun with tourists then. Marketdays are allways special. I remember years back on our local market in Pont Audemer I overheard a seller saying in a joking voice to his clients: "You will see! The english will come! And they will buy all our chateaux and houses. And they will be followed by the germans!" I turned around and answered with my slight german mixed with scottish accent: "Well Monsieur, you are "hors tard" they are already here. Everybody laughed heartily at my reposte. But honestly, this is what I love about Normanday and their inhabitants. They are very family orientated, but very open when you make the effort to get to know them. I lived here for over 30 years now, did the same school-, riding lessons-, dance runs, that you did Anna. The kids grew up speaking 3 languages fluently. And ... we never finished renovating. In these old houses there is always always something to do. But we are so blessed.
What fun day off from school the girls had. These are memories that will last a lifetime. Ziggy doesn’t look sorry at all 😂😂😂😂😂Phillip’s sense of humor always cracks me up. Nice job on the landscape 😍😘
Our children are grown now, boy and girl twins (57) and younger daughter (55). We were so active with them, football, basketball, track. In our late 50's our daughter moved back with us and her 6 year old daughter. She was a swert little girl and we went through her grade school and high school years and on to college. She played a lot of basketball through those years and we traveled all over for games, in choir and plays. We always took the kids on vacations and weekend outings and did the same with her. I loved those years and miss them a lot. Never regret the time you spend with them.
In the book Tuesdays with Morie , The main hero, a retired college professor, with a degenerative neurological disorder, makes the statement that on your last day, you will not regret one day less spent at work. At 81 years of age, I strongly agree with that. Maintaining a good work. Life balance is important and something to be focused on.
Anna, sounds like you are a really busy normal Mom. Believe me, enjoy every moment you get to spend with your girls, we lost our beautiful 37 year old daughter in 2015, the moments I spent with her growing up and as a grown woman with children of her own was not enough. A blood clot took her away from us in just a bleak of an eye, I spent the last week with my husband in the hospital with blood clots in both lungs and his legs, time is so precious. He is doing well now even though he still has the clots but with medicine hopefully they will dissolve on their own. Blessing to you and Phillip, oh by the way Phillip did a great job on the bushes. Hugs, Kathy USA
I agree, Anna, it’s a special privilege to spend time with one’s children. Mine are grown ups now, but they often reflect on the time we had together, as I worked half days while they were at school.
Phillip 😂❤ you are so funny. Love this beautiful family. ❤. Thank you for keeping the beach clean😊. Wish everyone would do that here, we do. Sending love to all. From Rosie O from a sunny Devon,England 🏴
It's amazing that geniuses are so good at not just one thing, but are often genius at multiple things. A genius also just seems to grasp highly complex, clandestine and complicated theoretical concepts, like making oats, so easily. I just SO admire geniuses...
Thank you so much for sharing these lovely moments with us! A delightful video. Savor every moment with your children, who will likewise look back on these moments with fondness and affection.
I miss the years of the presence of our girls in the home. I remember complaining about the noise & mess. One day it dawned on me that one day we would have a quiet tidy house but no girls. It was a good reminder to be thankful for their presence & all that came with them ❤ I miss those days but I am thoroughly enjoying the grandchildren!!
Anna, the last things you had to say today are so true! My “children” are now 27 and 30. I was a stay at home mom and don’t regret any of the moments I was privileged to spend with them. You will ALWAYS be thankful for these times.
Anna, treasure these days with your daughters. It goes so fast. My daughter is now 25 with a child of her own & she loved the days we spent at horseback riding, traveling, piano, etc. these are the memories they will thank you for. Phillipp makes me laugh and I love Ziggy. You have a sweet family!
Wonderful living so close to a beach. Love Philip trying to explain trimming the bushes.. gave me a good laugh. The girls are so big. Ziggy is happy to have his bath. You both work so hard. ❤
Your sentiments about spending time with your children....spot on! I had my children when i was 19 and 21, they are now in the 40s. I wish I'd had the insight and the wisdom to realize that before it was too late. The do grow up far too quickly. Phillip, you're hilarious!
Mine similar but great memories made for us and our children. I love watching this beautiful family live there's now. Can't wait for Grandchildren now. 😊❤
Honesty one of your best vids. The town/village you live in is so beautiful. It would be great to see more of it. Your children are wonderful and yes they do grow up so fast. Ours is in college know and was London not to long ago as a exchange student.
You are so correct re the children and enjoying time together in everyday ways...including the garden. Ziggy's face in the bath had me really chortling too😂.
I remember the days of running my 3 daughters after school to dance, piano lessons, various sports. Busy times, but now 2 of my daughters are doing that for their children. Time flies so quickly, but I am proud of my daughters and their efforts at raising their children & working full time. You are both wonderful and loving parents.
As a parent, I would be so happy with a 4 day school week. Time with my kids and the ability to wake up and not have to rush would do wonders for my attitude!
Anna, the years fly by so fast as you said, so it’s great that you learned to enjoy Wednesdays with your girls. France has it right. Family means everything. The landscaping looks great. xx
Thank you for sharing your Wednesday you have a beautiful life! Looking back on my life as an 80 year old grandmother, yes every single moment with family is the most important thing in life!!
Your girls will surely want to spend time with you when they are teenagers . Mine did….and they’re in their twenties now and we adore each other’s company…travelling together, cooking, hiking….
I loved this! Spending time in your beautiful grounds, (watching Phillip shave his balls), and seeing your lovely coastal village is so refreshing. But the best part is seeing two sweet and lucky girls, engaged in fabulous activities; and having a great day out with their amazing Mum.
I have two girls just a bit older than yours and we homeschool. Our life has become so peaceful and content since we started a few years ago. We are pretty active but we take a lot of down time too, always trying to strike a balance for everyone’s sake. I treasure every moment as before you know it, they’re gone. Love your incredible hard work, creativity and the beauty you both have added to this world. 😊
I know Honfleur by its reputation as a pretty town and desirable location. This real view exceeds my expectations. Its beautiful. Now on my bucket list.
You are so right Ana, enjoy your girls! It’s good for them and for you! I am a grandmother of the age of 79 and certainly made mistakes in my life, but the staying home was the best thing to do for my boys. Later I did the same with my grandchildren and took all my time for them. We have a great bond what is lovely and a good feeling. Thank you and Phillip so much for the episodes, I love it very much and can’t wait for the Sunday afternoons to see the new chapter. Caracas Venezuela.
You are right - those days when your children are young are numbered. Work will be there, but you’ll never get those days back. I enjoyed the glimpses of Honfleur. We spent several days there last year - it’s a lovely town. I enjoy Philip’s sense of humor, too.
Good words on work/life balance and how fleeting childhood years really are. Also really great to see you're kids spending the day being physically active in ways they enjoy, healthy habits start early! And I have to say it's nice to see at least one Chatelaine include equestrian sports in their weekly routine. I don't know if you have the acorage to keep horses and ride your property as some chatelaines who don't ride, but you're girls will one day inherit your spectacular house and it's a lovely, healthy outdoor sport that opens doors to have been blessed with, and perfect for any country living. They looked like they really enjoy these Wednesdays, and they're every bit as important as a day in school, for their future. Poor Ziggy looked SO humiliated in the shower, hahaha, that face omg! 😂😭💖
You are right about time spent with your children. I brought up my daughter on my own and honestly I remember almost nothing of all the years she was at school Her whole childhood and I dont really remember any of it at all. She is almost 30 now and often says"Remember when?...." and I honestly dont, but when I say "Remember when?.." to my own mother, about my own vividly remembered childhood, she doesnt remember either, so I applaud the way you get mandated to spend Kid-time mid-week in France, giving you a chance to build memories together
Sooo, It makes sense 🌹🌹🌹😊
I love Ziggy posing like the perfect calendar dog in the background during Anna's outro ❤ And I think he was looking sad in the bathtub because you were washing away all that delicious cow poop odor, which he so carefully applied 😂
I agree. My Westie once managed to find some manure the same day she'd been to the dog groomer. So pleased with herself. Not so much when she got a second shower once we returned home. Us hoomans, tut tut, we just don't understand.
If you put a tarp down before you trim most of the branches and cuttings will land on the tarp and thus it’s a quick clean up vs picking everything up all the time. Yard is looking swell!
I don't know Philipp, by shaving your balls you probably have created some work. The wood shed roof is now visible and it's rustic charm could feature in your future.
En Fleur is a stunning seaside town, what fun to see Ziggy zoom around the beach. How fortunate for your girls that you and Phillip are available every Wednesday. Thank you for sharing this part of your family life with us. Bless oh and just in case Phillip is despairing the end if renovations never mind there's always plenty to do in your very large garden 🤭🤭
Enjoy every moment you have with your children. You will not regret it. When they are gone (before you) you cannot get that time back. Enjoy it and love it because they will love you :) 😊❤
France is soo beautiful! You all are admired so for your diligence in caring for your children and your chateau ❤ I love your channel and haven't missed an episode! I wish I lived in France, love from Alaska USA.
I would give just ANYTHING to return to early days with my children. I thought those days were busy and exhausting, but with the kids grown and gone now, I miss each of them terribly. The days are too long and too lonely. The time we have with our precious young children, is far too short.
I really enjoy your videos but Philip your humour is just great. "Shaving your balls" just made me laugh 😂. You and Anna compliment each other so well (at least on your videos). I wish you both happy renovating and gardening. Gail, Czech Republic ❤️
The smile on Ziggy’s face on the beach and the misery when in the tub 😂❤ Loved this episode! Laughed out loud when Phillip was explaining the bush trimming! 😂❤
Anna , your words at the end of the video are so true. Soak in every possible moment it does go fast. It’s a beautiful time in life. Now I am a grandmother of 3 and I am blessed to live near all of them and their dogs and attend their concerts and other events . I’m so happy you live near the sea we do as well and it’s a big part of our family life. Ziggy certainly enjoys it! Such a wonderful thing to teach your girls about keeping trash off our beaches . Have fun on Wednesdays ! Dancing, horseback riding all fun things! Philip great job on the trimming of the bushes and balls…
finding a good work-life balance is so great! love that the girls are learning to ride horses. IT is such a rare thing in the States these days with all of the organized sports activities.
Don’t forget the alternative possibility that your daughters will still enjoy your company as teens. It’s a wonderful time with new ways to relate to each other. I wish you the best!
Awesome to see Phillip playing around with trimming his balls again. Brilliant video about glimpse into your Wednesday life. Just Brilliant in general.. Not just the women enjoy this content, just fyi... You guys are totally rocking this. But keep in mind that Dan is competing with most popular Chateau vlog...
I really REALLY enjoyed this style of video. It was nice to see your little town and all the things you guys do outside of the château. And yes Phillip your skit with how to shape your bush into balls was hilarious!! 😂 and watching Ella on that pony made me giggle so much. It was so cute . Many blessing times your family ❤
Because of you guys, it is now a life goal of mines to own a house in France, or just eurpoe in general. Life there seems amazing, America is sooo boring! 😭😩
I think Ziggy’s activities look so much fun! 😅. So nice of you all to do a quick clean up at the beach. I remember when we lived in Germany, stationed there, and my son and my husband went on a boy scouts trip to Normandy beaches for a massive clean up. The boys actually enjoyed it. We went as a family, but camped out as well.
It was so nice to see the market and the buildings. Living in the US, especially in the Middle and Western part of the US, we have nothing that looks like your markets and building. Thanks for taking us out with you!
Hello I always watch rare to comment. I love the family. Two things. 1. Ask manscape to sponsor your videos! I’ve seen them on other channels. To funny. 2. The last shrub you trimmed. FYI take any off cut stand in dirt and it grows like mad if you need more plants. Super fast. Great riding girls thanks for the smiles. ☘️
Thank you for showing us the town. We have watched all your videos and did not know that you were so close to the ocean! No wonder Phillip wants a boat! Thanks for the videos you two. Love watching, from Colorado
Gosh your home looks so beautiful and it is more so because we viewers enjoyed the journey of your hard work and creativity - on your own and with a family too. Bravo💛
I loved spending Wednesday with you, thank you! I love that you have this day together. I think it must give families a really good work/life balance. I wish it was the same here in Australia.
Omg! Phillip made me snort my coffee,🤣😂😅
🤣🤣🤣
I was hollering! 🤣🤣🤣
So did I!!! 😂😂😂😂
He's so funny. Love that man 😂❤
He’s hysterical!
I dont know if this style of vlog was harder to compile/edit, but I really like these day-in-the-life ones on top of your normal chateau transformation videos. They're unpredictable and heartwarming. ❤️

The topiary was the perfect segue into Manscape as a sponsor rather than boring old Squarespace 😂
I thought he was building up to that 😂
I thought that part was an introduction to the add 😂!!
😂😂😂
Ah, but Squarespace helps pay the bills and ensure more epiodes for us.
@@elizabethwezelman8547 Manscape would pay a premium fee for Philip’s endorsement - even more for Anna’s!
i hope that your girls realize how very lucky they are to have two parents that are giving them an amazing life

Words well spoken Anna. I am a 73 year old grandmother and motherhood was the best job I ever had! Enjoy them!
I am 71 and thinking the same

I love that book! Yes! ❤
Love seeing your day! Ziggy is definitely living his best life! Swimming and rolling in cow poop, thats one lucky dog!
That’s the meaning of, ‘it’s a dog’s life!’

A lovely peep into your life ❤❤❤❤❤
For liking water so much, Ziggy’s face at bath time was hilarious!
We went as a family, but camped out as well.
pretty place to live and drive to and from
that ball bush trimming was hilarious.
Thanks for the tips!
This day looks like it was so much fun! I love that you took Ziggy with you😊❤🐶
What a beautiful seaside town!
Thank you for showing us the town. We have watched all your videos and did not know that you were so close to the ocean! No wonder Phillip wants a boat! Thanks for the videos you two. Love watching, from Colorado
Thanks for watching!
