Pray much for the Kingdom of God. We need uplifting, positive, and encouraging messages. So much hurt and pain in the world we need the Church to show more Jesus. More love. More Grace.

If he was a child of God he would do the work of his father and proclaim the true word of correct? Besides John Mark's devilish ways he is preaching falsely. The bible says that if anyone even if it is an angel from heaven, please note that the bible didn't say an angel from hell but from heaven, preach any other gospel to you that he should be rebuked. I'm not! Because the Lord stands alone and no one can oppose Him. The Lord is still in control and He works in some very controversial ways at times. Just remember that the Lord has a church but there are many weeds among the corns, in other words, many wolves among the sheep and many demons in church. In Spite of this, God remains triumphant for He will separate the sheep from the goats at His second coming. He has only a few chosen ones, not that God is partial but that they are chosen because they do the will of God.
Recardo, you guys seem to be running your own kingdom. No one is looking for the kingdom of our heavenly Father. The bible tells us that the kingdoms of this world will fall. No one should be surprise at this. We, the children of the promise, have abandoned the laws, statutes and commandments of the Most High, and have hewn out our own cisterns.
The strangest thing that came out at this marathon meeting was that the Wildman Street Board was not involved in the firing of Pastor John-Mark! How the dickens was the Pentab board excluded from the firing of the pastor? Also, how can the UPC not agree with the teaching of predestination so clearly expressed in Scripture. Seems there is more to this firing then we are hearing.
It really pains my heart to see the church i grew up in come to this???? smh How did we get here??? i was in shock when i received the article as much as i am no longer in the church but all the rules and principles i learnt as a child has kept me all these years living in the UK and i will never forget the teachings of Pastor Samuel Stewart, Pastor Eric Taylor, Pastor Milton Kelly, Pastor Dennis Rushton, Pastor Anthony Simpson ... (all those times we were made to go to the prayer room after childrens church and we would be so scared after hearing about the rapture OMG!!! we all thought the rapture would be that very night after brother Simpson was done with us LOL ..... I love the good old apostolic teachings they were set for a reason and we should not be foooled as we know whats right and what's wrong .... UPCJ The world is looking to the Church as an example. Your housekeeping should be kept out of the public. No matter what the circumstances are, you should work it out among yourselves. Are we an example of forgiveness? How do we restore one that is caught in a fault? Why was the letter sent anonymously? Why didnt that individual approach Pastor Bartlett after the message in Miami? What was the motive of this individual? Why the info to the Gleaner? Very disappointed.
I have been asking these very same questions. I am not even discussing whether he is right or wrong. The leaders must know because obviously they prayed. But whyyyyyyy? Why handled in such a secular manner?

Everything should be transparent. Transparent and yet not condemning. It's like a marriage. Speak truth yet the truth will not cause repercussions. Everything should be transparent and YET not be condemning. We should always behave as though the world is watching, because it is. No secrets. So transparent and YET no reproach. Transparent and YET Christian like and therefore, no one can use anything against the ORGANIZATION for any malicious intent. And no I am not apart of THIS ORGANIZATION. That is the problem. I am a part of a relationship with God. What's with the word organization? I don't like the word organization. The man owns Alpha Beta Delta Honor Society Inc., an organization that helps students attending private colleges recognize their full potential by acknowledging their accomplishments. Now compare that to this statement: I am a part of the church, the place where souls are saved, where men are humbled by Grace, and where God's sovereignty reigns. Not an organization Joydain. I asked the same question. why is the Church's business out like this..I am sure this meeting was for the members not the world.I am reading where my sister is talking about transparency and informed decision.sad to say it was an unsaved reporter friend of mine that pointed this out to me.is this the transparency we want.can't we handle our business without putting it out in the public.what are the unsaved souls saying.sigh.trust me if this is for transparency the unsaved friends of mine find no transparency about this.Funny enough the biggest critics of this are the unsaved and if you happen to be listening all this transparency is just a confirmation of what they always thought about the church.

God has been dealing with me on the message of Grace for a few years now via Pastor Joseph Prince. It seems to me that the UPCJ brought pastor Bartlett up on trial but instead, by the sovereignty of God Almighty, they were the ones who were on trial. I pray that the light of the glorious grace of God will shine over UPC worldwide... God wants them saved, none should perish in self effort... they should just be so thankful that Gods mercy allowed Pastor Bartlett to minister the Grace of God to them. Believe the report of Grace!
Jesus is coming back but he will not come back until the preaching of the "gospel" (the truth about Salvation by grace and grace alone- barring self effort) which is the "good news" be all over the world. God wants his bride to be ready without spot or wrinkle. in Genesis 3:22, 24, when man sinned, God put him out of the garden of Eden and set Cherubims with flaming swords to keep the way to the tree of life "lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat and live for ever {in his sinful state}. This was God"s sovereign plan to (by grace) give man an opportunity to be redeemed by the potent blood of Jesus and not try to use self effort (putting for his own hands) in an attempt to save himself. if that had happened, man would would only perpetuate his sinful state. He would have forever locked himself in as a sinner for eternity. But her comes the Grace of God; Jesus Christ the righteous.
It is with deep regret that Pastor John-Mark Bartlett had to resign because of the alleged differences in doctrinal teachings. However, if the matter was not dealt with legally, the UPC board of Jamaica needs to make amends speedily. I am 100% a believer in doing things in order.

The studies, not the letter referred to here, but the studies and sermons show explicitly that Grace is not a license to sin. Who can we being dead to sin continue to live therein..GOD FORBID! Shall we continue to sin so that grace may abound? GOD FORBID. These teaching points seem to have been 'conveniently ignored'. Nevertheless, the foundation of the Lord standeth sure, the Lord knoweth them that are His. This meeting should not have made it's way on UA-cam, it was a private meeting for members. Like it or not, this is the will of the Lord.

I may be wrong Karole, but the issue is not really what they accuse this man of . .. I think the people are hurting for 2 main reasons. 1. They knew nothing about what was going on as members of the church. 2. Their intelligence is insulted. They are not children. How could someone, anyone make such a decision without letting the people be a part of the process? This is ridiculous. Less confusion would have been here if the process was more transparent.

The board acted speedily as if he was preaching against core beliefs, deliberations were shady and then what adds so much insult to injury is the fact that we can't see where his suppositions were not Biblical. As I listened to the various points, it is evident that Pastor Bartlett is preaching the word of GOD. How can he be dismissed without the six points brought to this meeting? This is not right.....too much politics/bias here. This seem to be more about power and control and wanting to remove the man of God from his position. the unseen eye is watching. Rom. 8 v 28.....All things work together for Good. Joseph had to be thrown in the pit by his own brothers. Do we place the rules of an organization over the word of God? Rules are not bad , but when your rules contradict and/or replaces the word it is BAD. God gives power to people to test them(to see how they will treat others they think they don't need)

If we didn't have to do the commandments of Salvation to inherit eternal life then Christ would not have come. One thing is certain PERSONS WITH SIN IN THEIR LIVES WILL NOT GO TO HEAVEN, whether they be in the pulpit or pew so we can start cleaning up our disgusting sinful selves. When a Sheep sinned that sheep may be restored without much ado but when a Prophet or a Shepherd sins the glory of God is lifted and it becomes very obvious because not only is the protection gone but the enemy now has the right of way (permission to afflict) because the reward of sin is "curse" but also even one's mind becomes distorted. Sin is the rooted of all deviations from God, God's Word and God's commandments. We can come short of God's glory after we get saved, so this is where the Spirit of Barnabas comes in. So if you are saved today and tomorrow you are lost what would be the sense of God sending His Son to take the place of rams and goats and bullocks and pigeon? Jesus died once and for all. Then if we accept God's salvation today and tomorrow we fall then we become unsaved again? God forbid!He said He give into us eternal life, no one can pluck us out of His hands. As I said, Grace is not a license to sin but if any one can say that from the day they get saved they have never sinned then the truth is not in them. What Bartlett is preaching is not predestination, it's predetermination. He might think it is predestination but it's not. Like the reformed Calvinist position, he is stating that only some are chosen for salvation, The question that now arises is did Christ die for all or just the elect? By his teaching the answer would have to be the elect, therefore the atonement is limited. This is one of the core points of Calvinism. Bartlett rightly states that no one can come to Jesus unless the Father draws them. This is true. All who have come to the Son have been drawn by God the Father through the Holy Spirit. But let me illustrate something using a parable that Jesus gave. A wedding invitation was given. All who turned up to the wedding had an invitation (All who have come to the Son have been drawn by God the Father through the Holy Spirit), But not everyone who got an invitation turned up! The scriptures did not say all who are drawn must come, it said all who have come have been drawn. That's why Stephen preached to the council as is recorded in Acts 7 that they always resist the Holy Ghost. How could he say that they resisted if they were not drawn? One resists a force or an influence. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. Luke 7:30 But the Pharisees and the experts in the law rejected God's purpose for themselves, because they had not been baptized by John.) As is clear in this scripture, one can reject God's plan. Teaching that God has elected you so there's nothing you can do about it is erroneous.
Excellent response. The new doctrine is called hyper-grace. It is the new thing in the US as well. If one wants to succeed in the pulpit, then one is forced to get on board. It's sad. Bartlett's theological position is strongly refuted by the word of God.

I've been a victim of church Bredrens from the first day I put my feet in Pentab, one of them is by the same accusation someone called a church brother's wife and called my name, I was preached against, ostracised, marganalized, malice, avoided...and I didn't have a clue! I was innocent of these things yet nobody asked me even JohnMark himself has acted based on here say. The worst thing was that my unsaved co-workers, friends and family knew that the church was against me!! Iam still affected my these accusations even today, so maybe this is what the Lord will use for us to learn to love one another that the world will know we are "Christians"

This thing is very troubling: the mere fact that the sheep is defending the Shepherd is wrong, it's not Biblical. The Spirit of the Shepherd enters the Sheep and that is why we need Godly Shepherd. As far as I've heard Johnmark has erred from the WORD: His Son says God overides our will that alone is erroneous. God showed Paul his error by knocking him down, this we know because Paul says "who are you Lord?" Paul knew that he was persecuting the Jesus' people so when Jesus says I am Jesus whom you are persecuting. It was right there that Paul got the Revelation of who Jesus is. God knew that Paul was zealous for him (in relation to the Law) but he was ignorant of the new birth plan so God taught Paul himself. For no man could have reached Paul due to his knowledge and zeal of the Law. So God didn't overide Paul's will he showed him his error and the way of escape and that is what God has commanded us to do too therefore, if Johnmark has erred God has used this to knock him down. For why should he perish after preaching to others? We pray for His restoration in Jesus name.

Paul was a zealous Jew. End of, but He was unaware of God's (the same Jehovah that he was serving under the law) Salvation plan. WE are all on social media defending our belief system in Christ. The first thing that should have been done, those leaders, those men of God should have called a nationwide fasting. Period. Seek God's face not just among themselves, but include everyone in the church where this thing would impact all the Saints, especially the new converts. We think God is pleased with all of this? No HE is not. This thing has caused more confusion than anything else I have ever seen. Period. And God is not a God of confusion.

You can be saved and backslide- "i am forever married to the backslider" When the children of Israel Sinned against God, They didn't stop being his people. Jesus was still born from the seed of Abraham. His gifts are without repentance. However that doesn't stop him from being a just God and one of Justice. Ye, his spirit shall not always strive with man. Now we know in part, so don't ask me to explain perceived discrepancies- just take the word as it is and stop trying to make it fit in to your idea. The fact that God said he is God and in HIS context will show mercy on whom he will show mercy does not by any means give us the RIGHT To do as we please. Jesus said- if you love me - keep my commandments. We can't try to put God in a box, because of our limited ability to rationalize him. His thoughts are higher than ours. Personally i believe EVERY thing he said, i don't pick a choose the ones that seems most rational to me.
The brother that sayed home was upset when the father showed grace/mercy on the one who was out there sinning. I think that is a great story for you to consider... as your attitude seem to be that of the brother that sayed. I feel that the mercy God is showing towards those who did nothing to deserve it, is taking away from the blessings that he should be giving you because you were with him, doing his will. God is saying that you are both my children, even when you little brother was messing up he was dead in sin, but now that he's here he is still my son. When you have children you may understand better.

The fact that God predestinated us does not give us the right to keep crucifying him over and over. Just like He knows that If i pray at 10 am He will give me what I want but if I don't pray (ask) I won't get it and there is a penalty for misuse. The strangest thing that came out at this marathon meeting was that the Wildman Street Board was not involved in the firing of Pastor John-Mark! How the dickens was the Pentab board excluded from the firing of the pastor? Also, how can the UPC not agree with the teaching of predestination so clearly expressed in Scripture. Seems there is more to this firing then we are hearing.

God has been dealing with me on the message of Grace for a few years now via Pastor Joseph Prince. It seems to me that the UPCJ brought pastor Bartlett up on trial but instead, by the sovereignty of God Almighty, they were the ones who were on trial. I pray that the light of the glorious grace of God will shine over UPC worldwide... God wants them saved, none should perish in self effort... they should just be so thankful that Gods mercy allowed Pastor Bartlett to minister the Grace of God to them. Believe the report of Grace!

The studies, not the letter referred to here, but the studies and sermons show explicitly that Grace is not a license to sin. Who can we being dead to sin continue to live therein..GOD FORBID! What Bartlett is preaching is not predestination, it's predetermination. He might think it is predestination but it's not. Like the reformed Calvinist position, he is stating that only some are chosen for salvation, The question that now arises is did Christ die for all or just the elect? By his teaching the answer would have to be the elect, therefore the atonement is limited. This is one of the core points of Calvinism.
Bartlett rightly states that no one can come to Jesus unless the Father draws them. This is true. All who have come to the Son have been drawn by God the Father through the Holy Spirit. But let me illustrate something using a parable that Jesus gave. A wedding invitation was given. All who turned up to the wedding had an invitation (All who have come to the Son have been drawn by God the Father through the Holy Spirit), But not everyone who got an invitation turned up! The scriptures did not say all who are drawn must come, it said all who have come have been drawn. That's why Stephen preached to the council as is recorded in Acts 7 that they always resist the Holy Ghost. How could he say that they resisted if they were not drawn? One resists a force or an influence.

I've been a victim of church Bredrens from the first day I put my feet in Pentab, one of them is by the same accusation someone called a church brother's wife and called my name, I was preached against, ostracised, marganalized, malice, avoided...and I didn't have a clue! I was innocent of these things yet nobody asked me even JohnMark himself has acted based on here say. The worst thing was that my unsaved co-workers, friends and family knew that the church was against me!! Iam still affected my these accusations even today, so maybe this is what the Lord will use for us to learn to love one another that the world will know we are "Christians"

This thing is very troubling: the mere fact that the sheep is defending the Shepherd is wrong, it's not Biblical. The Spirit of the Shepherd enters the Sheep and that is why we need Godly Shepherd. As far as I've heard Johnmark has erred from the WORD: His Son says God overides our will that alone is erroneous. God showed Paul his error by knocking him down, this we know because Paul says "who are you Lord?" Paul knew that he was persecuting the Jesus' people so when Jesus says I am Jesus whom you are persecuting. It was right there that Paul got the Revelation of who Jesus is. God knew that Paul was zealous for him (in relation to the Law) but he was ignorant of the new birth plan so God taught Paul himself. For no man could have reached Paul due to his knowledge and zeal of the Law. So God didn't overide Paul's will he showed him his error and the way of escape and that is what God has commanded us to do too therefore, if Johnmark has erred God has used this to knock him down. For why should he perish after preaching to others? We pray for His restoration in Jesus name.

Before you listened, did you ask God to open up your understanding away from, and apart from the gossips you may also have heard? We all have our opinions on this matter, and this is why I am so hurt. I am hurt because there had to be a better way to deal with this. See now? WE and notice I said WE. WE are all on social media defending our belief system in Christ. The first thing that should have been done, those leaders, those men of God should have called a nationwide fasting. Period. Seek God's face not just among themselves, but include everyone in the church where this thing would impact all the Saints, especially the new converts. We think God is pleased with all of this? The fact that God said he is God and in HIS context will show mercy on whom he will show mercy does not by any means give us the RIGHT To do as we please. Jesus said- if you love me - keep my commandments. We can't try to put God in a box, because of our limited ability to rationalize him. His thoughts are higher than ours. Personally i believe EVERY thing he said, i don't pick a choose the ones that seems most rational to me.
The brother that sayed home was upset when the father showed grace/mercy on the one who was out there sinning. I think that is a great story for you to consider... as your attitude seem to be that of the brother that sayed. I feel that the mercy God is showing towards those who did nothing to deserve it, is taking away from the blessings that he should be giving you because you were with him, doing his will. God is saying that you are both my children, even when you little brother was messing up he was dead in sin, but now that he's here he is still my son. So that we dont stay down in condemnation if we fall because he payed the price once and for all. That is how GRACE comes in. I have been a practicing Christian and i Know that sometimes i am overtaken in a sinful thing/action but God never overide my will he allows me to hear his word, or reminds me in a song or which ever way thru a friend. But the choice is ultimately mine whether i prefer his presence or to continue in a sinful lifestyle. He prompts me but never overides me. And f i ignore his prompting im on my own. No where in the Bible it states that God overrides our will. What God does is to do whatever it takes to save us hence "all things will work together for OUR good however, GOD will get all the glory. The fact that God predestinated us does not give us the right to keep crucifying him over and over. Just like He knows that If i pray at 10 am He will give me what I want but if I don't pray (ask) I won't get it and there is a penalty for misuse. If we think we can do anything and go to heaven we are wrong or do we really believe it?!! thats why we are such professionals at keeping malice??! When an unsave person is not into you they don't talk to you but the Christian will have you up for years and still say 'praise Di lawd" Grace says: "if we hate our Brother we are murderers and murderers not going to heaven"
