- I wrote off Bitwig's replacer a while back and you know what, I shouldn't have. It can be a great tool for either performance or coming up with song ideas as demonstrated in the video. It definitely makes me want to go and revisit all the other stuff I've been neglecting!

This is dope! I've used the replacer for sidechaining an audio kick track to bass so I can use the note sidechain mod instead of the audio sidechain mod. I have the tighter control with the ADSR on the bass ducking.
Ah lol I didn't even know they had one, for it's most basic use it's a drum trigger(think stuff like Slate trigger or addictive trigger) you can use it if you mix "conventional" recordings, for example if you need a more powerful kick or snare to layer with the organic recording.
Very cool! New sub for thee here, peace ✌️
Hi Alckemy, I'm curious about that sidechain tool on the end? I can't find it in Bitwig. Thanks in advance.
that is a tool device with a side chain modulator on it. it’s a two step process to build :)
dude! how come you've been sleeping on Replacer all this time? it's essential if you want to use Grid as generative sequencer. you can make Replacer create notes with modulating DC offset before it (but then you'd need to mute it after)
That’s because I don’t really use the grid as a sequencer or… the grid that much at all 😅
@@Alckemy I see. well, originally I guess this device is meant to literally replace some drums/sounds that are baked into a sample or live input. with envelope reacting to note and modulating mix of new sound you can splice something different pretty gracefully
Wow Alckemy this is such an awesome technique I love it.😃👍
sweet
Nice to see them adding new features! Definitely gives me ideas
I think this has been around since bitwig 2 but I just never saw a reason to use it until someone asked
@@Alckemy Yes, Bitwig it's just amazing, really an instrument than a DAW
Bitwig is like a mix between cubase, Ableton, and reason.
Lacking in many areas compared to Ableton. I use both.

Since using bitwig I can say the main gripe really is that there is no audio to midi feature as there is within Ableton.
Also a extract to chords function like studio one would be a killer.
For now I am using scaler 2 so all is good.
i dig how the stream naturally turned into a video hell yeah
That’s the beauty of streaming, finding new stuff to cover
Yo Alckemy this replacer right here is golden! Thanks very much. Also, your music is dope and different, I love it.
Thanks so much! I’m glad you found this useful
Woaah what a fluent way to get cool layering effects.
OMG! How could I overlook that thing! THANK YOU ALCK! ❤🔥
also great for sidechaining;)
Underrated channel. nice stuff in here
If you use Reason you can trigger midi with audio via CV
Nice to know other daws can do it too^^
Likewise in FL via Peak Controller and Midi out
so yea.. check this out.. so instead of like.. asking for subscribes and plays and likes and what not.. which, I have to be honest, moooost people, ifg they are like me, get pretttty tired of.. LOL... well how about.. mmaybe try invent some kinda coded thing.. that multiplies each of these by say.. 100, or.. hell, maybe 1 million.. then you dont have to worry about looking like a beggar.. and we dont have to keep clicking the bloody things..
and Hey.. No charge for this advice bruh
the reason why we ask is because unless we remind our viewers people don't do it. which unfortunately is the most important element to growing our channel(s). I hate that game. but I choose to play it
