I notice your first 5 levels on this build are Rogue / Monk / M / M / Rogue, and then you take the rest as Alchemist. I also notice you use one of your Monk feats for Discipline, I assume because it gets you +5 PRR and +5 MRR in GMoF. And your last Alchemist feat for the 50% Poison Absorption. If you're set on those feats, all good. But I feel like you could easily improve this build by taking your first 6 levels as Rogue / Alchemist / A / A / A / Rogue at 6, then taking your next 3 levels as Monk for 7, 8, and 9. Take Dodge at 1, Quicken at 3 since Alchemist unlocks that lower now, and that sets you up to take Mobility as an Alchemist feat instead of the Toxin one. This all sets you up to take Spring attack or Whirlwind attack at level 6, and then take SWF as a monk feat instead of Discipline. Then you can take the rest of the build from 9, as you have listed. A picture of it in action: imgur.com/a/ucLOnmV I feel like on this very heavily single target build, getting access to Spring attack or Whirlwind attack might be a bigger benefit than the Toxin feat and Discipline. Especially Spring Attack. Get that Speeeeeeeeed in it.
Was just looking at getting Completionist on an alt and wondering how to get alchemist on an iconic. I haven't really played melee alchemist before, so this looks like a fun way to do it. Awesome timing!
Idea for a new video: You play a lot, both xping completionists and first lifers and raid group endgame the same. So rank your builds in funniest way? top 1-5 fun in leveling top 1-5 level in strength top 1-5 endgame fun top 1-5 endgame strength. And lastly any differences as firstlifer/completionist. (I need little inspiration! Ty for all your videos, give lots of ideas :-) )
Ive not tried this. Looks like a ton of fun for the way I like to melee CC things! You did not explain why Monk 2nd and 3rd other than very briefly "feats and monk stuff" type of comment. Is those 2 levels better than Alchemist 16 and 17th ? I've never played Alch, and throwing vials seems boring to me, but THIS melee-Alc build I could enjoy. Thanks!
what is all the acid spellpower good for? as far as i can see, there is already an imbue toggle (venomed blade) which scales off of melee power, and does more damage (from what i tested) than the one that scales off of acid (poisoned coating) even with all the corrosion equipment?
The tactical feats used are in grandmaster of flowers in epics with drifiting lotus, but also remember that you gain a bonus to damage based on your intelligence as well, so it's good even if you had no tactics.
Two weapon fighting is worse for this because the two main attacks, spiked chain and drifting lotus, only use your mainhand weapon. Additionally you would need a whole lot of dex to be able to take all the feats. It could work, and you could get more base dex for the feats, and you trade AOE damage for single target damage.
You say you need to be Shadar Kai for this, but the only SK thing Im seeing is the chain whip attack. If I don't care about the chain whip attack, am I missing something or could this be fine with any race? I ask because it seems like I could remix this a bit into a Quarterstaff build, which means Im not bothered so much by the inability to do AoE damage. Get some Strikethrough going. Im thinking a 12 Alchemist / 6 Monk / 2 Rogue could be done quite nicely with this concept.
Its a Daggers build for Vistani Knife Fighter, and it uses a named Dagger that turns enemies into Gold on Crit, effectively CCing and killing them. I immediately think of the Fire + Dark + Fire + Finisher combo = Automatic Crit, but I assume Strim has his reason for Harmonious Monk instead.

Thanks for the build ideas!
No problem 👍

I believe it's because it scales off poison spell power which is from nullification gear
As always great vid thanks mate!
Can someone explain the points for "Know the Angles"? isnt it just for tactical feats , im not seeing any used???

Spike your orange stance a lot of spell power
I'm still learning the ins and outs of DDO. Would Two Weapon Fighting work or is Single Weapon Fighting just better for this overall?

Looks fun!
You mentioned on forum Shadar-Kai being very important, if not available what other race(if any) is doable?
If you don't have shadarkai you probably should play another build, but any race is fine. Shadarkai is for the spiked chain and nothing can replace it
@@Strimtom ahhh..I suspected as much. Alchemist is definitely weak early on, it can drive ppl nuts.

chain whip is for doing some aoe. If that's not going o be an issue for you, your build should work just fine.

This AOE is great with Tiefling Assassin’s Blade I assume? 😅
Is there any other race that would be viable for the build i dont mind missing out on the shadar kai chains just like the idea of the build in general

ohh meeen ur so late with this build, hardcore is about to end. i have question- noob one. is it possible to use runearm for extra dmg in this build ?
I love poison builds.😅
