I totally agree with the concept of leaving money in your bank for bills. It didn't make sense to me to take everything out, and then having to do multiple trips to the bank to deposit it.

Roth ira is for retirement, she can't touch it until shes 59 without penalties. I'd contribute to a 529 account for college savings or just another high yield savings account for her. Roth ira for you and your retirement goals, savings account for her 💜

We get all our appliances at scratch and dent store. Do you have them near you? We got a $1500 stainless beautiful fridge for $400 and $1300 grill for $100!! They had slight dents but they were hidden where we placed them so they looked brand new.

Loving all the new binders!! You’ll only be able to open a Roth IRA if you work (you may want to look into one for yourself and your husband). You can look into a 529 plan for Mia which will invest her savings. She’ll only be able to use it for school related things (school fees, books, tuition, trade school) and there will be a 10% penalty of she takes out the money for anything else.
For the 529 plan there is yearly fees added on top of 10%. Also it’s only ment for school, meaning that money can not be used for anything else but school related. I always think... what if my child doesn’t want to go to school? I would be wasting this money on this plan because if m’y child chooses not to go to school I will lose a lot of money if I want to take the whole thing out. It will get taxes and penalty and on top of that both parents who file taxes will have to pay taxes be pendant on the state they live.

We just opened up a custodial account at our bank for the kids. It’s a good start.
Roth IRA are good for adults but there are taxed and penalties that come with it. A lot of money you won’t know how much you will end up paying in the long run, some come taxed already but you will have to pay the hidden fees and penalties.
A lot of people don’t think about this but we also have IUL life insurance for our kids, it offers amazing savings with life insurance and you can change the difference allocation using index inside to gain more interest and in the end it’s tax free and has not penalty because it’s s life insurance policy.

Love your videos ❤️ but have you considered using you need a budget app or every dollar app for budgeting and tracking expenses?:) I am using the budget system too and it’s been helping me so much in managing and saving money but I am always afraid to have too much cash on hand because of the fear of someone stealing it or losing it and not being protected:/

But, I was looking if someone ask you about the size between the center holes of the envelopes that you bought. Thats help me to identify if is accurate for my ring binder. I think the closing cost is only for people purchasing a home. I’ve never heard of a closing cost for renting. I love those laminated envelopes and how they fit perfectly in your wallet. I definitely need that are you still making them ?
I, personally, am going to use a custodial account for my baby. Still learning more and researching others about it but I know the Roth IRA for kids is only when they have income .
We just opened 1 up for our kids, it’s great because it doesn’t get taxed. I like that the account is still under the Kidd name but I am in full custody of the account until they are 21.

It's basically a fund that you put money towards with a specific goal in mind. For example, it could be debt, a trip, clothes etc etc. Basically anything you want to save for so that you can buy the item using pre-saved money. Think savings account with a specific purpose
