I Had Such A Crush On BEAUTIFUL Lara Parker, Back In The Day!!! Little Wonder, Dark Shadows Was My Favorite Show! I Couldn't Wait For School To End! As The Old Song Puts It........I RAN ALL THE WAY HOME!!!💗💓💝💖💘🌹👸👑
I used to run off the school bus to watch Dark Shadows, so many times. And, as a young boy, I had the biggest crush on Laura Parker/Angelique. Those bewitching eyes and her entrapping smile just melted me. After watching this video, I find that some things never change. What a beautiful woman and what a very talented actress. She's still my favorite villain/villainess of all time.
Probably the single greatest villainess in the whole history of television,. Profoundly wicked, but often strangely sympathetic. There are women whose mothers named them for Angelique.
You simply can't take your eyes off her, and who'd want to try anyway? During the original run, I got scared to death every time they 'killed' her or sent her packing, worried that was the last we'd seen of her. Thank goodness Dan Curtis knew he'd struck gold with this actress and employed her right to the end of the series' run. Usually perpetrator, sometimes victim, Parker never failed to mesmerize.
Top notch. Excellent song choice, perfect subject material. Editing and clip placement is extraordinary every step of the way. This is a real master work, as ALL of the elements come together the way they should. It gives Angelique a nice, contemporary feel. I could just hear this song at the Blue Whale.
The Beauty Of Thee. Angelique, Thy Eyes They Hypmotize. The Beauty Of Thy Porcelin Complexion Simply Keeps Thy Lovers Mesmerized. Ensnared, No Desire To Escape...Our Destiny...We See Thee And Are Blinded By Thy Beauty...Laying Our Hearts At Thy Dainty Feet...No, This Is Not A Defeat...Simply Love's Victory!
Well, remember, the devil was supposed to be beautiful before the fall. And notice her name, "Angelique," which means angel-like. What an irony, right?
Rayarena True but his pride was his downfall wanting others to worship him as ''god''. Also instead of the Savior who shed his Blood for all, the evil vampire takes the blood of the living, when he is actually dead. How gruesome this story line was.
SHE WAS AN ABSOLUTE DOLL,WHEN SHE WAS NOT STICKING PINS IN THEM.SHE WOULD HAVE MADE AN EXCELLENT PACIFIC SOUTHWEST STEWARDESS,IT WAS AN AIRLINE THAT WAS BOUGHT OUT HERE IN CALIF.THEY HAD THE MOST BEAUTIFUL STEWARDESSES YOU HAD EVER SEEN, DURING 60,s AND 70,s.EVEN DURING MY CHILDHOOD I WAS DUMBFOUNDED BY THEM.THEY HAD CUTE LITTLE PINK AND ORANGE OUTFITS.
When you watch at age 8 you see wicked but by age 10 you figure out underneath is a vulnerable woman who is captured by the heart of the one she curses. It's a love story
Something just occurred to me that I never thought about, Angelique was a native of Barbados. Tituba the Salem witch was also [at least in the play the Crucible] from Barbados. I'm sure that was the reason that the creators of Dark Shadows decided to make Angelique from that island. Now something that has always bothered me is that Angelique should have spoken with a French Creole accent, not like an American.
RIP Lara
I have always loved her. I always will my first crush. RIP

Excellent, thank you. All she ever wanted was Barnabas; her obsession for him caused all the darkness and pain.

Lara Parker's "wicked stare" could laser-drill holes in solid steel... Talented actor, gorgeous woman, fascinating character.

I would also be so upset and worry every time this happened also. She was the best.
Gosh! She was so beautiful, and so evil! ~Janet in Canada
Love the Lara Parker vampire shot. I always thought she made one hell of a vampire, and she looked awfully awfully hot with fangs!
Wow, THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ASTOUNDING! Beautifully done. 🌹🙏🏼

When evil was beautiful

I think the best bit is that it's a cover of a 1960's song... to my knowledge
Good one! She was my 2nd fav after Willie!
Omg. *feels stupid* Yeah, I have this song on my itunes. I love Kill Bill 1 & 2, but it's been sooo long since I've seen 'em. Great song choice!!

her powers made the accent disappear,
LOL!
Wasn't Angelique from Martinique?
@@sgraham1hotmailcom You're right. I'm wrong, she was from Martinique, but still, like Tituba from the French Caribbean.
Cut out the music I want to hear what she's says
