Am I the only one that got through most of the campaign in like 4-5 hours and spent 6-9 hours on the last boss to the point that when I finally cleared it I could feel when the laser was coming?
Fun story, I'm on PS4 and when the final cutscenes came around I was sat back in my seat feeling slightly accomplished and the cutscene caused my ps to shut off and I didn't get the progress for the final mission. A week later and it's still not done 😆
It took me a bit to beat the final boss. Had like 6-7 attempts. Took a little break, looked at some videos, then came back and beat him. I didn't follow the video guides, I did my own thing, but seeing the fight omthrough someone else's eyes kind of made things easier, like "Oh, this isn't that bad."
My brother in the Light and Darkness and Christ. Eris Morns story garnered more sympathy through Shadowkeep than Rohan did, and the spooks were far better than whatever happened in Lightfall.
Eris' story was post campain content, much like Nimbus and Rohan's, yet everyone complains about the campain while completely ignoring the existance of the latter.
The fact that we never find out what the Veil is and its mentioned as much as the Traveler in this campaign (Ghost even compares it to the Traveler) is insane like what happened
This video proves to me that SirD with Sus & Krafty in Day 1 Raid *is gonna leas to the most toxic, mic-blastibg moments* that will defo make for a good Day 1 Raid video like the Vow or King's Fall one was.

Me and my team sat under the stairs for two hours shooting scouts at calus and the tormentors feet. I never thought I’d see a fight more excruciating than savathun on legendary.
It was bad, but it wasn't that bad 😂 We tried to do it with three people and spent an hour of fails. Then solo for half an hour. Then went into a group of two and did it first try. I stayed on one side to keep it safe and never had an issue.
Man, there's just no cover at all. You gotta fight multiple incendiors plus a yellow bar just to get a small pocket of safety. Meanwhile you got Calus and tormentors coming at you with their homing bullsh*t.
That was grueling solo legendary. With no one else for the Tormentors to target, putting them in the dirt before the 2nd phase of Calus was harder than any GM I’ve ever done.
For me I said fuck it and was like “if I treat this whole encounter like a dps check I can just blow thru it” so I pulled out my WH and trusty Linear and proceeded to emp rift 1st phase and for 2nd phase I used my well got distance between me and the TWO tormentors and nade spammed valid to death lmao
if anyone had been in-character in that scene, caiatl would have curbstomped a cloud strider, or at the very least glared. but instead we got... whatever that was 😂
The second to last mission, the vex obstacle course, was definitely harder than the fight with calus. The wall of death having a jank hitbox and moving in the opposite direction of the boss just made it difficult to get damage in, especially when hobgoblins and minotaurs spawn every time it moves.
The fact that I ran through the obstacle course in 7 minutes on legend and wanted to kms in the arena encounter speaks volumes as to the difference between me and SirD

Im so glad im not the only one who spent 2 hours in that room, after trying to do it 13 times, I had to leave, buy upgrade modules, go back and then did it first try.
I enjoyed it a lot. Maybe because I wasn’t expecting answers. Part of the reason I enjoyed the lore of Witch Queen so much was that I was very familiar with their back story and the twist they introduced to that existing lord was amazing. The setup for LightFall was good but no where near the depth we had because it was all so new. All in all, I am fine with the seasonal stories filling in that gap.
That wipeout after grabbing the ghost, for no reason whatsoever, was pretty hilarious. I feel like if they just added some energy bursts in the air around the Veil, it would've made some sense, but as it is Nimbus was just made to look like the clumsiest dork in the universe. There's also the part where they slide down a building while scraping the shit out of one of its seams with their hoverboard... again for no good reason. Aren't they supposed to love and protect the city??
Thought the campaign was kinda mid till then end then it actually got tough. But the witness is such a cool villain and I hope they can expand on his character in the raid.
I still think the Witness is the dumbest villain in history. His big fuckin eyes just aren't spooky. The fuckin smokestack head is kinda cool, but other than that legit saw his ass in Witch Queen and just tuned out. Savathun was kinda cool, but the gameplay of D2 was so stale that I couldn't find any joy in the storyline.
I started D2 14 days prior to lightfall, my son and I did the legendary campaign in 15 hours with breaks. i had to solo the first stage of the last encounter get him to join and then we hit calus with my ult and the kiddos heavy. Even if the campaign didn't live up to the standards of the community, I'll never forget the experience. Might need some keeps now though, that shit was stressful.
How did you guys were not on each others throat by the end of the plaza vex boss? I did it solo and it was worse than Glassway. Until I found a hole on the back corner where the red wall didnt reach.
The ending fight was just as excruciating as having to fight that tormentor in a confined space halfway through the campaign. That fight drove me insane.
Hilarious. FWIW I did that Osiris training mission on Legend solo... without levelling up. That was dumb. I didn't realise how many light levels you'd be gifted with each targeted weapon drop. So, it took me about 4 hours. Turns out that Strand was the answer, since you can swing up to the snipers, knock them in the face, and just keep moving.
fun fact that you guys were stuck in you can hide inside the vex portals which idk if this was intended but the barrier cannot touch you there it would be the far right vex portal.
Campaign gameplay was great, and I’d say post campaign has easily the best content bungie has ever made for a dlc. Also like this location wayyyyyyy more then throne world. But yea, the writing of this campaign definitely had me feeling like I was playing destiny 1s vanilla story LOL

You can now have a technically double charged damage stasis freeze and slow weapons that increases damage and fire rate the longer you hold the trigger. 😅 Now you have free Ammo on the floor, frozen ads and another dps option 😭👌🏾💯

Yea I did this solo legendary and I have to say. That circle room with the giant Minataur and the calus fight we’re by far the hardest
btw at the calus fight the supports for the platform under the area have collisions on
