Ford built those 8th gen F-series pickups & 4th gen Broncos from 1987 - 1991 & I still see a lot of those pickups on the roads today. The Broncos on the other hand I don't see anymore.
Bricks basically don't exist anymore in the rustbelt minus the 1 tons and superduties. The diesels are usually in better shape since they all leak oil, the frames are not nearly as rotted out lol
Your truck looks awesome! I love it when people take care of vintage vehicles like you clearly have yours. My 95 Super Duty was already suffering from torn seats and cracked dash when I bought it. I did replace some of the other broken interior pieces but had to go with a Carhart dash and seat cover. It looks good in my opinion, but your's should win an award. Great driving and shifting technique too.
Might be an issue in hotter climates, have yet to see an OBS/brick with a cracked dash up north lol. Would still prefer having to do interior work over repairing a bunch of rust though lol
Yeah I wish I could say the same with my 91 f250 interior lol, Its not bad but its definitely not what id call nice. Good truck and hasn't left the county since it was new.
@davidkonz247 Luckily mine was always ran with fleetguard so it had cavitation protection. Unfortunately though, a few months after my original comment, some old lady in a crossover going 80+ on a 35mph road rear-ended my IDI while it was parked and completely destroyed it.
This is fine, 91 model that still looks new and at least as far as interior is immaculate, so I’m sure exterior is also. And you’re easy on the ole gal, smooth shifting and no over revving nor lugging. Motor sounds good and strong as well
@@psd28 I just have a hard time destroying a clean truck, if it's beat to shit already then ofc I'll abuse it. but if i find a clean ass 90s 7.3 i won't be abusing it
@@fierce1894 you really can't abuse a stock IDI with your foot. They're governed at 3700rpm and built to run at full output all day everyday. It takes awhile to get used to driving one because you typically don't use every bit of power that an engine has routinely, but that's how IH designed the IDI.
I’ve got one of those weird Centurion VanTruck things with an ‘85 6.9L and an ATS turbo kit on it but the engine is no good so I’m currently having one freshly built for it. I bought the whole rig for $43 because it sat in the previous owners yard for two years with a rod sticking out of the oil pan. It’s got a pretty gnarly dually dana 70HD rear axle with limited slip I came to find out running some numbers. I’m looking forward to driving the thing, never seen another one on the road in person.
Alongside the other commenters, I think the stopping distance is also a big factor. I drove a 1989 Ford F-350 7.3 IDI 4x4 with a single cab, long bed and it was really hard to slow it down.
They ARE very reliable! 320K ON MY 91 F350. a hard worker towing more than half the time. They aren't built for speed or burnouts, but they will run every day all day, loaded uphill, Full throttle and never overheat or give you problems for it. They are like tractors- built to work.
I have a 1990 with the 7.3 and E40D which just went out on me. Have been considering the zf5 swap. One thing I was curious about was gear roll over noise however I don't necessarily hear it in this video. Have you had any issues?

I have 1987 ford bronco whit that 4.9300l6
I'll see a few in Phoenix every month but they got beat up off-road really bad
They had a really nasty habit of rolling over and killing all the occupants which seems like a reasonable reason not to drive one

Love seeing such nice interiors on OBS trucks. I have a super clean 1988 F-250XLT with the 7.3.

Have a 93 auto. Just gotta love the sound of an "I'll get there eventually" idi na. Lol
They're by no means fast, but they'll run all day and never stop!
Its not even slow. Japanese pickups from that area got 70-90 hp
@@chevyjohnson7457why are you bringing up Japanese trucks when they have nothing to do with Ford's?
I used to drive one of these in the early 2000s doing concrete work. We would have laughed at you if you told us it would be worth big money someday
great truck man! I have a 90 xlt lariat myself. love driving and owning it. keep up the good work!
So satisfying to watch

Классный трачек. легко запустился и хорошо идет
Ford+International = Legendary
Maaaaan I Miss driving stick!..Thanks for the great video!👍👍
Sweet truck! I see your rear antilock light on just like every other Ford from that year lol
I used to have an 86 that blew a head gasket and then my 89 caught fire. 😢 i loved those trucks..
Fires right up!!
She sure likes the warmer weather. :)
Very cool ride along! If someone had only driven cars and CUVs, what do you think would be their biggest adjustment in driving your F-250?
Thanks! Other than driving a manual, I’d say the low gearing in this where it doesn’t jump out from under you when accelerating. Haha!
As the owner of a ‘93 supercab 4x4 F250, TURNING CIRCLE. If you’re not paying attention driving in the city you can get yourself in a real pickle

What is the fuel consumption of this car and how much horsepower?

Why are you holding the clutch in constantly...
He isn't, he is pulling his foot off and hovering over the clutch, but it does kind of look like it a couple of times
Yeah, shouldn’t even need the clutch after he’s rolling…
Did this truck sell?
Stock exhaust ?
This is a nice truck but the idi had no power
Considering it had the most power for it's time, I'd say it had power
Think I just shit myself
