Hi,what my friends told me about the que of trucks is that at the border they sometimes closed it for trucks or Just let some pass a Day. Yes,Georgian traffic is awefull therefor a tip for some People,rent a driver if you not feeling comfortable, it isn't that expensive and they know secret places. For example, little bit further was Stephansminda,nice town, great view on the higgest Mountain of Georgia and a nice church/ abbey with amazing view. And the cathredral in Mtsekha is dedicated to Saint Nino Who is burried there

You may have answered this already elsewhere but obviously Trudy hasn’t had an MOT for a while and won’t have VEL paid in the UK because she’s out of MOT. Do you just buy local insurance in the countries you visit?
Hi,to give you answer, most insurance does not cover Georgië except if you ask and pay extra. Most buy extra insurance for Georgia at the border. Not so expensive
Hi James - the MOT is only required for Insurance UK based (and the countries on that green card) But we buy it on the border once you go to a country that is not listed on your UK based insurance. I hope this helps - M 🌺
It is definitely a consideration - We always planned to keep going East so we had no need of an MOT as we would not be coming back into any EU or Green card country to drive home as we were going to ship home from USA or Canada - but if you are out of the UK for longer than 12 months and have no MOT to get insurance you can ship your vehicle from Istanbul to Bristol and then drive to an MOT centre to get it sorted - I hope this helps with your trip planning 🌸

In the USA commercial trucks can only drive for 14 hours without stopping for a rest period. You rarely see them drive at night and they are lined up on the side of the road in the morning. Maybe it is the same in Georgia.

The fortress and cathedral were gorgeous -- but I hope the legend about the architect losing a hand isn't true. 😱😱 If it is, I hope he sent a second bill! Excellent video, the legend is a lie.😀 The architect of the church worked on many more projects after this church. The legend is associated with a 20th century writer. He wrote this story in his novel. In fact, such a sentence did not exist in Georgia at all. The legend became so popular that archaeologists dug up the architect's tomb and he had everything on the ground. The hand on the temple is a symbol of the union of architects of that period. It belonged to the architect of this temple.
