Oh, hey, if you have homeschool questions about Arkansas, I'm available. It's easy. You probably already have it all figured out, but thought I would offer. Graduating my last of 5 soon.
Awesome! Funny, the Spirit of God led me to buy a place in Arkansas in 2021 after Biden became President. I had a deep sense that this man was a judgement on America, and I believe the destruction he will bring to America shall be epic. Having a means for food production and water access and low costs will be important as millions of Americans perish under his reign of reprobate leadership (e.g. Romans 1:18-32 leads to Isaiah 5:20 which leads to judgement of a nation of woe which we have become).
In suffering, there is opportunity to bring broken people to the truth in Jesus Christ.
Can you message me regarding your homestead in Al. My son lives and works there, he may be interested in it. I mnowhewants a homestead.
My Grandma was born in Arkansas in 1908. She grew up extremely poor and did some serious foraging in the Ozark mountains to eat. She moved to Oregon after being widowed and I grew up next to her. She had a wealth of knowledge about foraging and homesteading. 20 years since she passed, I moved to the Ozark’s not knowing a soul there. God brought me here, back to her roots.😊
My grandpa was born 1921 in Berryville. Still have roots there today, Flathers name
Seeing this makes me want to visit this place too.
My great-grandmother once lived near there, and now I am wondering if God wants us to at least check this place out.
now that brings me to tears. happy tears.
@@mrcharliewebbI live in Berryville, AR.
My wife and Came to Arkansas on our honeymoon in 1971. Stayed at the Red Apple Inn in Heber Springs. We loved it so much, that we said we wanted to move here sometime in the future. In November 1974, we moved to Benton, AR. Stayed there 40 years and moved to Conway 8 years ago to be near children and G’children. We love it here, this is our forever earthly home. Side note, On April 3, 2021, we stayed at the Red Apple Inn, at the same room we stayed at on our honeymoon, exactly 50 years later.
Welcome to God’s Country! I am a born and raised Arkansan. You are going to love the natural beauty of my state. The mountains, the valleys, the fishing, the gorgeous hiking trails, the State Parks, the fall colors, the wild animals, all are absolutely beautiful. I think you will love the state. ❤❤
Wooo Pig Soooie
Yes indeed. Mt. Magazine
It’s the Natural State of mind!
We also just moved to Arkansas! We sold our homestead and pretty much everything to move here! We absolutely LOVE Arkansas! We still have soooo many places to explore and enjoy! All in good time!
A big welcome and HUG to Arkansas from Whippoorwill Holler we wish you and your family the best God bless
Thank you!
Howdy neighbor!Almost everyone I’ve talked to here that has moved from somewhere else has felt “ called”. This is such a beautiful place. Sometimes when I’m just driving to church or the grocery store I look around me and thank God for this beautiful place, and the good people here.
WELCOME! To Arkansas! It truly is a beautiful state! I (aka Freerange gardening) am not too far from where y’all are. FYI. There are lots of deer, black bear, turkey, wild hog, hawks, etc. so watch for those around the chickens etc. I hope you all love it here as much as we do!
Welcome to arkansas,i have lived here almost all my life, thank you for showing off our beautiful state,i live in conway close to little rock, before that i lived in hot springs, before that missouri, and the northern right hand corner of the state, iam 67 years old.
Welcome to the Natural State!!! May you and your family be Blessed in our Great State!!! Western AR here. Congratulations!
Need anything just holler!
Thank you!
So happy to hear you speak about Arkansas… we moved here in June and as you said it was a “calling”
We’re in Mountain View and love it!
So thankful for that calling… this state is my happy place… we escaped from California 😳😐
So happy for you💜
Welcome to Arkansas
Welcome to our great state! We have a deer camp in Fifty Six and I grew up dancing on the courthouse steps at hootenannies, back in the day! ❤️
I just closed on some land in Marshall with a cabin, 2 weeks ago. I had a calling for a long time to go to the Ozarks. I'm still in California with my wife and kids though. Working on the escape plan lol!!
We sure hope you're not bringing that commie bs with you!
I've live in California for decades but never felt at home until I've moved here . Northwest Arkansas is quite majestic - God is so good 😊
Mtn. View is awesome! I love going to pickin on the square when I am able to go back home. It’s about an hour north of where my daddy lives. I’ll be movin back soon. The best catfish restaurant ever is in Mtn. View. And my daddy best friend. His daughter has an rv park there.
Congratulations! You’ll love it here. You’re not far from many of us who homestead in the River Valley (Ozark, Booneville, and Waldron).
Hey mama V...hope you are well another Arkansas YTuber...best lil community ever...❤️
We moved to Booneville last year after 21 years in Idaho. Californians were taking over Idaho. :(
We are homesteading in Mansfield…between Greenwood and Waldron. This is me and my husbands piece of peace in this world! During our almost 20 years together, we have lived in Ozark, Fort Smith, Booneville, and now, our peaceful homestead just outside of Mansfield. When I stand outside, every direction i turn, I see mountain ranges. Beautiful!
Yall are the 3rd Homesteader that I watch, that has uprooted and moved to a new Homestead. That takes a lot of hard work and stamina, I admire you for following your heart.
I cannot believe how much we have in common. I'm a Christian, a veteran and I've also moved exactly 18 times in past 30 years. Hubby and I bought our house couple years ago, but we do NOT feel at home and we are praying for God's direction to move us out of Commiefornia. So glad I found you. I felt immediately encouraged that my life isn't over, that I too can be brave like you, and God has much more in store for me yet. Can't wait to see more of your journey. 🙏😘🇺🇸
Get out ASAP
@@prepperboss We are seriously working on it! Last night a dear friend and business owner, told me her husband just texted her and said "we're out of here!" They've lived here all their lives, have family and business here. More and more, good people I know, are suddenly packing and leaving. I believe this is God's way of moving us, before he goes "scorched earth" on California.
@@TakeTheRide We are definitely looking into states far from here...Montana, Arkansas. Missouri and Tennessee.
@@suzio6571 good luck and God Speed, you cannot put a price on piece of mind, and many people I know make $$$$their primary focus. They will live to regret it.
@@TakeTheRide yeah I'm hearing that same thing on the station s also.
My inlaws moved to Arkansas in 1969 & when I came here to help them move I felt like I was home.I finally moved here the second time in 2021. I live 15 miles east of Ozark on Coal Hill & love it here...again.
WELCOME! You'll love the natural state.
@@LivingBetterOutdoors Hello!
@@LivingBetterOutdoors We have only been here about 1-1/2 year. But there are a few around Hagerville & I think around Mt. Magazine
Wow, love watching and hearing your exciting journey .😊
Welcome! I live in Western Arkansas in the Ouachita Foothills and my daughter married here and lives and works in Ozark. We are originally from Southern Illinois. Bought a home here in 2011 on a whim after my husband of 27yrs passed away in 2002 and a fire destroyed my home in. 2009. I decided to move here rather than rebuild there. We chose SW Arkansas because my son had made friends from here that he met in school. So he brought me here to visit and I decided to stay.
Ya'll will find so many people you meet aren't from here but felt called to move here and planned it or they visited and decided to stay! Again, Welcome!
So glad you are here in Arkansas! We Love that we have another Prepper here!🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻
Welcome! We moved here in December! We love it!
I understand the need to trust the Lord when He tells you it's time to move, but so very worth it. Found your video about the move today, and your story was amazing, so I had to subscribe. Can't wait to see what God has in store for you and your family! Many blessings to you!💕
Right on!
Me too
Welcome to Arkansas! I have lived here my entire life and in the Ozarks for 60 years. The area you are in is wonderful and you will love it!
We were called to the Missouri Ozarks and haven’t regretted this move. The Lord knew we would be happy and safe here.
Doug and Stacy...do events from there. I watch from Australia
Do u live in an intentional community? Or just alone?
Amen
Moved to north central Arkansas 2 years ago and we love it !!!!
Missouri Ozark’s here too!
I just stumbled across your video. I was so surprised to hear you say you moved to Ozark Arkansas! That is where me and my husband grew up. It is truly beautiful there. We live in Northwest Arkansas now and it’s also a beautiful part of the state. Welcome to Arkansas ❤. God is good
Near lake Norfork here :D
And yes He is SOOOO GOOD!!!
Oh my gosh, to actually meet Lori and Dan..that beautiful land and mountain are beautiful. You are blessed. God is so good. May He always bless you and your family.
What a relief it must have been, to find out that Willow & her parents wanted to move with you & your husband! That is why We moved away from California ( well at one of the many reasons). Half of our kids lived in Nevada, & the other move to Tennessee …Tennessee won out in the end because Nevada never felt right.
Welcome to Arkansas! God Bless You All! I just came across your UA-cam Channel by accident today and I'm looking forward to your adventure here in Arkansas.
You are super close to me! We live 33 miles from Ozark but go through there to get to Fort Smith for church. Arkansas is so full of natural beauty! I’m so glad to hear you are loving it.
Woo hoo! Hey Keri ❤😊
@@GoodTimesHomestead hey friend!!
Welcome to Arkansas, you are in the beautiful Ozark mountains, I love traveling there. We live on the grand prairie of Arkansas, rice, corn and soybeans grown, wife and myself were born here, we never moved away. Looking forward in following your journey at your new home.
If you’re a farmer:
THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YALL!!!!
Hey from a fellow farm family! We live on our rice and soybean farm and adding corn this year!!
Hello ! I’m so happy I found your channel! I love to see how God is working in peoples lives ! God bless your new homestead! I’m so happy your animals are going with you, and your family!🏞
Reminds me of when we moved. We moved to a property that wasn't set up for animals. My husband and older kids headed out and put up fences before the family moved. You should have seen our livestock trailer loaded to the roof with animals. Haha. Our rooster was on top of all the other chickens in his own cage and he crowed every single time we stopped. People looked, oh how they looked. We had our goats, sheep, turkeys, and chickens all packed in with cattle panels strapped to the top. It was so fun. So many trips were made with equipment, mostly farm.
That's so funny. They were announcing
"We're coming too"
I was born and raised here in 1959. Great slow paced life.welcome.raised three daughters all here
We left Washington and moved to a small town near Fort Smith Arkansas about 3 years ago and thankful we did. Had our first large garden last year, goats, rabbits and some chickens.
God is so good! What a huge blessing!! Just found you! So greatful for the Lord in your lives!
We moved to Arkansas 19 years ago. We live in the Ozarks mountains. My family and kids and grandkids are all where we moved from so it's sad I miss them so. But it is pretty and quiet here. We have a farm. Hope you enjoy arkansas
I was stationed in AR for 9 years. It really is gorgeous. Northern AR and all of MO have always spoken to me. We are currently stuck in TX, but I'm looking for property up in those areas for our final home.
Such a beautiful place! So happy for you! So happy for you too that Ms. Willow and your son and daughter in-law will be with you! Congratulations on buying such a beautiful property!
This is such a God thing. We have a homestead and God is calling me to move. I’ve been tormented about it. And somehow, your move just showed up in a notice. God Bless you on your move. I hope I am given the message as to where we are to move.
Congratulations! Can't wait to follow y'all on this amazing journey! Whipporwill Holler is actually in the northeast corner of Arkansas I believe. I follow them too. Such a sweet couple. Prayers for y'all as you move and settle in.
Yes Miss Lori is in northeast Arkansas. ❤
Whippoorwill Hollar is in Imboden AR
You are giving away the secrets of Arkansas! It is a hidden gem!
My husband and I were city dwellers all our lives. When our 3 sons graduated university we started looking for hunting property with a cabin - in a crazy twist of fate we found a ranch home all done in Eastern Cedar in the inside (including the ceilings) sitting on 23 acres with 2 ponds and 2 creeks! With pines and hardwoods and plenty of black walnut trees. We’re in Michigan where property is expensive and this was not what we were in the market for but we went out to look at it and we both looked at each other and knew this was it-we sold out house and couldn’t be happier. Our three boys hunt and take deer out of here every year - we built a greenhouse and have a garden. This was totally orchestrated by on High because too many things had to come together perfectly for this to happen🙂
Welcome to Arkansas!! We live in Fayetteville and we moved from Southern California last year. We moved here to look and buy land in the future! We love it here!
Absolutely wonderful your daughter, her husband and grand daughter are coming too. God was working that out ahead of time too.
Looking forward to watching how it is going when I can.
Congrats on your move and new beginning. I lived in Arkansas for four years with the USAF and loved it there. The Ozarks are one of my favorite places.
there’s something about being in the country that touches your heart and soul!! And the mountains!! The way they change with different weather and the shadows as the clouds move over them are amazing to see!! They just make you feel the presence of God!! How blessed you are!!
Welcome to Arkansas!
I’m in Little Rock, where the flat lands of the Delta meet the hills that segue into the Ozark and Ouachita Mountains. I do hope this week’s snow hasn’t caught you by surprise! It is beautiful up there when it snows.
I have homeschooled all 3 of my kids, too, (2 girls and a boy) and my son and I are in our last year (18th year! Praise the Lord!)
I know you all will love the new season God has in store for you because you have been obedient to His Will.
I just found your channel and I am looking forward to catching up (aka binging on) your videos.
Again- welcome to God’s Country!
Thank you! Snow doesn't bother me. I grew up in Wisconsin, and we lived in Alaska and loved it. :)
🐗🐗🐗WELCOME TO ARKANSAS! The quiet is deafening out here for sure!
Thank you! That's my kind of "deafening" :)
Welcome to the Ozarks. We moved this year to the northern ozarks of Missouri. I have driven all over the Ozarks years ago, photographing stallions for a breeder doing research. Fell in love with the beauty. I saw, in the mountains of Montana, a barn cut into the side of the mountain. The lower level had stalls in the center, and a wide loop around the outer wall, so you could ride a horse around the inside. HIGH ceilings for riding, and opened to the pasture. The upper level took hay in at the higher ground level. so hay could be dropped from above into the hay racks. The house set into the mountain across the driveway from the upper barn so you could go out the lower level door and only be a few steps from the upper barn. Your lovely mountain made me think of that...got to be gone 20 years or more since.
That sounds amazing!
Welcome to Arkansas. I live in the Ouachita Mountains since I was 5. I’m 65. Love your channel.😊
Thank you!
I’m just beaming inside as your talking about your son and his family moving there with you! Ptl for working so much out!🙌
I can just feel the peace from your surroundings.
Ran across this randomly on a google feed - I grew up a few miles from there and I’m jealous! You will definitely love it. You’re right, it’s stunningly gorgeous. One local tip - the “ch” in Ouachita is soft, around there they say “wash-i-taw” haha. Hope you love it!
Lol. There’s a craft show out of England I watch online. Crafters Companion. They are always saying Arkansas is Ark-an-sass not Ark-en-saw. I’ve tried to tell them to no avail. You just gotta laugh. Lol.
I had a camp that I loved. It had no running water, an outhouse, a Barrell wood stove in the middle of the one room camp, no electricity, oil lamps for light, a fire ring out front, and a big french window looking out down a hill onto a dirt road and a big brook. I had to carry water from a spring a mile down the road by bicycle or pull sled depending on the season. I did have a propane stove with 4 burners but didn't use the oven because the smoke/carbon monoxide detector would go off. I loved that place! . God showed it to me in a flash of a vision. I had never seen it before. An hour later, I was standing on the porch and I knew this was the place I had just seen. He provided the money and favor to buy it. There were lots of other people wanting this beautiful place. Then I started to not like it so much and a discontent grew when I was there. It was time to sell it. I sold it and used the money to put a new roof on a house I had just bought about a year before. My house is on the edge of the Siamese Ponds Wilderness Area in the Adirondacks. I didn't need that camp on the back side of Snowy Mountain anymore because I had my quiet house on a dead end dirt road. God is good!!!!!
Welcome to Arkansas! Prayers for a smooth transition for your family ❤️
So glad to hear the family remains together!!❤
You can usually get free internet at the library or around the courthouse. At least that's how it is in Clarksville.
So happy to see you smiling and looking forward to your new homestead. It is wonderful your family is coming with you. It makes it much easier for you and for them. Take care.
What an adventure! Can’t wait to see all the changes you will make to an already amazing place!
Congratulations on your move! When you guys are ready for a new greenhouse, look up Yoderbilt Greenhouses, they are only about an hour South of Ozark. We purchased one and it's beautiful and well built.
We really enjoyed the Arkansas’ COLLEGE OF THE OZARKS. WE tell everyone about it. It is a true miraculous, college
and it’s history is amazing enough to research and visit. Promise.
Welcome to Arkansas!! Glad to have another "prepper" that loves freedom in the state. I'm by the Quacita's and River Valley. Look forward to your videos as you get settled.
I just found your channel. Your new place is beautiful!!! Arkansas is our retirement dream. We love going there every chance we get. Gonna have to keep watching and see what you do with that beautiful piece of property you have there. God bless!
I'm sitting here watching ur story, almost in tears, this is so moving to my spirit 🤎
Gotta love the phone signals here in the Ozarks...We live in the same town as Kevin and Sarah...Have a Blessed week
Well hey there 😊❤ we are also Ozarkians 😂
I live in south Mississippi and bought a place in Arkansas 4 years ago. My heart is there as well.
Can I get your email address? I would love to be able to network for support.
My dads side of the family were all from Ozark and over to Mulberry, and Alma. Growing up we used to vacation from SE Texas area where most of my siblings and families lives. I had two cousins there in Ozark who used to call inviting us up to go hunting in the mountains and fishing the Ozark River all the time, however being a police officer didn’t give me the freedom to travel very often.
Sadly, one of my two last cousins in Ozark recently passed away and I feel that we missed an opportunity to return to our home away from home while still having family there because we truly loved that area where we once had numerous family members who were always great guides and very generous host.
Hopefully, someday very soon I’ll be able to bring my 3 grandkids who loves the outdoors for a nice family vacation, and hopefully find out if we’ve got any distant cousins remaining in that area. Good luck with your move and I pray you all stay safe while your taking in and enjoying what your doing.
By the way I’ve been subscribed to the Browns at Whippoorwill Holler for more than two years, and love them as she makes me hungry every time I watch them, and once upon a time I located them on the map and if my memory’s right I believe they’re located a bit further East of Ozark. Thanks…
Welcome! I'm in Fort Smith, born and bred here. There is a great Italian restaurant in Ozark. If you want to take in a beautiful view go on down the interstate to Altus. There are four wineries you can tour, but go on up to St. Mary's Catholic Church. The view is unbelievable. And again, welcome to Arkansas!
Miss Lori and Mr. Brown at Whippoorwill Holler are so wonderful! She and Mr. Brown are at Imboden AR.
Smart planning. We too will be watching if our move goes well

So happy for you and your family! Can't wait to see the new house and property.
Because of the soil, a lot of people do raised beds around here. Welcome to the River Valley and Ozarks!
The changing seasons of life are truly exciting. As we go forward and learn and grow where we're planted, sometimes the immediate satisfaction of "what we had before" isn't there. But that's okay. It's all a part of the process. I work full time, plus take care of an elderly gentleman who has dementia. There's just no time for me to have my big garden right now, so for the last two years, I've been doing a patio garden there at his house (he has the largest patio, plus, it's good therapy for him... well, for both of us). It's done well each year, and I pray it does so again this season. I do miss my big garden, and all the things that made me enjoy it so. But this is the season right now. We will make the best of it. And I know you will, too. In watching your latest videos, I'm already super-impressed with all that you've done so far. G-d bless you in YOUR new season!
God has given many of us directions to move and sell everything. With that said God bless you in your journey.
You are following Gods guidance and your heart. My husband and I go to the ozark area every fall. We meet with cousins and jeep ride in the ark/MO line. And yes it is beautiful!
Ozark is my hometown!! Such a small world. I had never seen your channel till tonight and decided to watch it to see why you were leaving your homestead. This saw this video and decided to watch it to. Welcome to Ozark and it's surrounding areas!
Thank you!
I love the song "Where He leads I will follow" and you are doing exactly what God wants you to do. God has a purpose for you to be here in Arkansas.
That's awesome that your family and critters are moving with you! What adventures lay ahead lol! The Lord has already scooped out the land and I have a feeling you and Amos will be having a lot of adventures lol. He was built for that kind of terrain! He could be a real asset to you all there! Lol when it gets tough, just remember that He has a Plan, and He knows what He's doing even when we can't figure it out! 😃 He knows what that greenhouse meant to you and He has something in mind, I can almost feel it lol. Take care and be safe!
Congrats on your move for the better. Enjoy and God Bless. 🥰
I am happy for you all. I just know how much work you will have to do to get your animals in shelters. You are an amazing worker. Prayers for you all. God Bless
Thank you so much

I live in Alabama, but visited my brother in Heber Springs, Arkansas last month. That part of the country is truly beautiful.
Went to High School in Heber. Loved it. I’m moving back but to the other side of the lake. Closer to Greers Ferry in Quitman. It is beautiful there. Great place to live. Before moving to Heber Springs we lived in Mountain Home. It’s beautiful there too. There’s two big lakes and the White River. Known for the best place to retire in all America. Low cost of living, great healthcare, beautiful mountains and outdoor activities. You should go check it out next time. And on a Saturday in summer go to Mountain View and check out the cultural center and caverns during the day and then to the square for free music at night. All the locals bring their instruments out to play bluegrass music. It’s about 45 minutes drive north of Heber. There is a great catfish restaurant on the river there for dinner. Family fun!
@@lisaraper8053 small world-when my brother first moved there from Florida 10+ years ago, they lived with his in-laws on top of a mountain in Mountain View! Our visit was way too short and we definitely will be visiting them again. Blessings!
New to your channel. Welcome to Ozark! I was born and raised in Ozark and I have to say that the pig trail is one of my most favorite places in the world even though I grew up just south of the Arkansas river. Looking forward to watching your channel. 😊

Two questions I thought of immediately were what about Willow and what about the animals, especially Amos and Sophie. Check and check, good for you. May the Lord richly bless you and your family.
We have an opportunity to move to my momma's mountain in NC. We love it there. I'm just waiting for Heavenly Father to let me know what He wants me to do 🌿 I'm so happy for you my sister ☺️
Whipporwill is in Paragould which is north east corner. We are located between Batesville and Searcy in Pleasant Plains. We never intended to move to AR, but Yah had other plans.
So happy when I know someone else felt a calling to come here to Arkansas. We retired a little over a year ago - lived near Houston, TX. My dad's family is all from here and we have lived here two other times. My husband knew I really wanted to retire here and he suggested we purchase my parents old homestead, which was owned by my cousin. We did and absolutely love it here. We live near Marshall, AR and I am always posting our beautiful sunrises and sunsets!! I feel so close to God here and he is using us in our little country church. God is so good!
My husband knew I wanted to go back home too. But mine is sending me home to my daddy broke and divorced. He decided he didn’t want a disabled wife after 28 years together. We are currently in Houston. Going to court soon. Sadly he will inherit his dads home in northeast Arkansas. Which is far enough away. But still? I cannot believe it. I know where Marshall is. Beautiful there in that area. I’ll be in the Greers Ferry/Little Red River area. I’ve heard so many saying God called them to the Ozarks. I feel like it may be a safe haven and way of life for the end times coming.
I found your channel today because of your video title. My husband and I want to move to AR from Cali in the next couple of years. Will be subscribing and watching your adventure!
Sorry I missed the live but I wanted to say how happy I truly am for you and your whole family! This is so exciting! I’m glad your daughter and her family will be joining you!
I know what it is like to make a major change and I am very happy for you in this new amazing journey and I think you made a great choice of going to Arkansas, I am in Missouri and this was our journey and never sorry for it. God Bless.
Congratulations on this fantastic new journey. God is good. Arkansas Mountains are fabulous.
Giving a Welcome shout out to you from Pettigrew Arkansas, about 45 minutes north of you.
We looked at a house up there :)
Welcome to the Northwest Arkansas area. I live in Springdale. You definitely chose a beautiful part of this area. The waterfalls and water holes you'll be able to hike to in the spring with only a short drive will surprise you. Buy yourself a Tim Ernst Waterfalls book. He (and his wife) have several books. One is Arkansas hikes that are more child friendly.
Best wishes. Work hard like the Israelites! One of the translations of Israel is "Let God prevail." I hope tying what you said and that meaning will give you strength during the more difficult times of your transition to NWA.
Thank you!
Welcome to Arkansas! We just moved here from Michigan in August 2022. We are south of you in Conway County.
Just stumbled on your channel. Looking forward to seeing how you start a new homestead
Very excited for y’all. I love Lori at Whipporwill Hollow. Her and her husband, Mr. are precious, godly people. Hope y’all can get together sometime. Bless you on your new adventure.❤️
I adore those two….you are correct, Godly people. So kind and just what I call “soft” people spiritually. Their tough people, I don’t mean soft in a mean way at all! I just feel I can sink into them, softly and lovingly….I get a feeling of safety.
@@cbass2755 great description of Miss Lori and Mr. Brown. Beautiful people in every way!!🥰
