When I was a kid there was a rock band called 'Grand Funk Railroad'. I'm thinking the name came from this railway. Beautiful. 800 people in the town, I have about 800 people in my neighborhood.😜

Ken i think the whole state of Vt has been set aside for wildlife. There isnt much progression of commerce. Its a gorgeous state indeed but you need money to live here.

    Hi Ken,
Some random musings on Friday after work.
Small world. My cousin Brad used to own Lyndonville Hardware before he retired.
Growing up, my family vacationed practically every summer at Lakeside Campground on Island Pond. My love of trains developed from watching the two daily through freights go by. One in each direction. The trains would meet in Island Pond and actually swap engines on each train. The Canadian crew would then turn around and take the Montreal-bound train back north while the American crew would do the opposite and head back to Portland.
After coming south from Canada on Lake Memphremagog, the Northern Forest Canoe Trail traverses through Island Pond using the Clyde River (the one that goes under the hotel), Island Pond, Spectacle Pond, and then the Nulhegan River, on its way to New Hampshire. It's a beautiful route through Vermont.

When my brother took his driver's license test in Island Pond, they couldn't do the parallel parking part of it because there weren't any cars on the street 😆

I love old train depots! Our town turned ours into half an art gallery for local artists and the other end is a train museum and the middle is a waiting area for the train because Amtrak still stops there. Very beautiful town and "lake" of Island Pond. Wow, the creek goes below the hotel! Our town has a creek going through it too that they have buried and it goes under the downtown area. Beautiful wildlife conservation area. Thanks so much for this Ken.

Enjoy this you mention kicks affecting Moose if you get a prolonged run of subzero weather in the winter doesn't that kill off the deer ticks?
Ken How common is it for people you know to get Lyme's disease?

For some reason cold doesn’t kill them off just like mosquitoes and such. My dog had lunes disease but with treatment came through it. I’ve been bit and had the red ring around the bite area. They treated me to prevent lymes.

8/26/22. Yes Ken..so glad you are making these very relaxing scenic videos. So by now you are a solo pilot/Droan Ace! Nice! Consider expanding this to other cities/areas. Your great calm voice-over adds to the relaxing visuals. Maybe a little longer fly around time would be fine by me! Love this 'slow flight' view of your home area. Ah yes yur construction videos are mighty fine too...but I (New Orleans area) think you need waay more air/moisture (insect) barriers ( check out Matt Risinger & Build network). He is in Austin TX. He is big follower of Joe (Stebrick. spelling is wrong) but a Canadian PhD in the huge subject of insulation. Ok, much enjoy both of your channels. 👍👍👍👏😊🪚🛠
