I would love to spend 24 hours with DLR just talking and listening to all his stories, ideas and beliefs...it's great to watch the Roth Show online...can't wait for episode 6!!! ONE VERY KOOL KAT!!!
One day everyone will understand what DLR is all about. He´s not just the ultimate rock n´roller. He´s also the best storyteller you could ever wish for. Unfortunatly, for us fans in Europe, we rarely have the chance to see the MAN.
It might seem like Dave rambles on without direction, and he probably does. The same way you would ramble with your friend over a beer. And thats the beauty of youtube, no commercial pressure like TV. Pace and flash aren't required to keep us focused and 'entertained'
I've got to say, I was indifferent about DLR - not a lover or a hater of. I love the Roth/Hagar versions of VH (please no debates). I am a fan of thoughtful, intelligent, and irreverent people. Mr. Roth are those and then some. I now and solidly a fan!
The thing that blows me away is the footage in this and the last episode of van halen on their first tour. The real brief shots of Dave in his black and white striped pants. Man let that stuff see the light of day! Solid gold baby!
Dave, I love your clothes, I love you, your family and your stories! My cousin was married to Leo Ball who played jazz trumpet with Xaviar Cugart and Herbie Mann among others. I really enjoy listening to you. Maybe after the pandemic we can meet up, maybe you'll play in Philly, Media or the Main Line. I don't know if the Tower Theatre is still in business.
Spent an evening here about 2 years ago with the house band. Although not he same it still has a real cool vibe and sweats history. Being a fan of the clubs hay day it was a sort of homecoming. Can't wait to go back.
MORE SCENES OF HIS HOUSE/PERSONAL VIDEOTAPES...... Seeing those 'art' pieces in his house that he wrote about in his autobiography was spectacular.... Would LOVE to see more
Awesome story David about your uncle. Cafe Wha was my absolute favorite place! I played the keyboard on the stage once. Things have changed, but things won't be forgotten ever! I love your version of Dancing on the Streets. How about a cover?
Eat 'Em and Smile is an outstanding record. That group Roth assembled is probably as close as you can get to the Van Halen gang. And at this time, EEAS was a much more united front than VH was, especially with Ed and Alex's alcohol problems.
Great stuff, but it's got me wanting more, show us more of the art gallery Dave ! i noticed the big picasso brothers sign there , show us all the 80's clothing if you still have them, thanks !
Love the episodes! I hope you have Nile Rodgers on one of the future episodes and talk about "Your Filthy Little Mouth", and some of the adventures you and him have had.
It like watching part of a feature movie ! They should call these Trailers rather than videos We also get a guided tour of Dave's art collection , nothing can be sweeter than that brother Thanks for sharing the videos on the channel
Hoping your back in van Halen for good dave, we missed the chemistry you have with VH. Wish evh would include some of your solo songs in your live shows! Anticipating dkot #2 also!!!!!!
So true!! TV is irrelevant to me now, I have no interest & it offers nothing anymore, only shit!! However this 'The Roth Show' is the future, its here & its happening now!! The mind, spirit & soul of Diamond David Lee Roth is much more interesting than some celebrity auto tuned robot artist (and I use that 'artist' term very loosely!) who offer nothing but shit!! Dave & Van Halen are as more relevant, fresh & NEW as you'll get from any artist old & new today. Stay Frosty!!
Dave really outta just put out the movie script as a kind of short book or something, with pictures. It would probably be a fun thing to read. C'mon Dave, be like Nike, and just do it. More stuff the better.
Wow now I know why this band didn't work.............................................................................................................................................................................................................................. IT NEEDED SOMEONE THAT COULD WRITE.. LIKE EDDIE VAN HALEN .
It's interesting when you see someone who you don't pay much attention to, who you think is a kind of weirdo-douche, on general principle, just from what you see on the surface, turn out to be a relatively interesting person . He seems like a used up druggie that survived and got it together eventually, which I can personally relate to being.
Dave knows a hell of a lot about some things and he knows a bit about most things but almost all the things he talks about are so goddamn boring but he knows a lot about boring things. I just watch it for him laughing for 45 minutes after he says something that's not even remotely funny it's just some awkward laugh that he continues for an enormous amount of time and very uncomfortable for any person near him. God help if it's a male stuck with him. Females put up with it because he's David Lee Roth. Don't get me wrong I would go crazy to have time with David and then after about a minute I would never want to see him in person again.

Dave is well read and it shows...
I so love David!
There's NEVER TOO much David Lee Roth.
Love these videos....Dave is one of a kind.
This Is My Rock Idol. Dave You Are The Best !
Awesome background and history. Amazing from a Russian-Jewish grandmother to DLR.
David Lee is one of them guys that would probably fit in with any situation kind of like damn he can be my best friend dig the hell out of him.
Another great show Dave!
Watching the first seven minutes of this vid, explains a lot of wha David is all about.
Rock 'on!
Intelligence is in the eyes of the beholder...Good job Dave!

DAVE IS THE GREATEST.
ALL DAVE! ALL NIGHT! DAVE TV!
Truly a one of a kind cool cat. It's no wonder someone as shallow and literal as Sammy thinks he's nuts.
Dave Rocks... awesome!!
Mississipi Power for you Dave, can't wait for #6
Awesome story David about your uncle. Cafe Wha was my absolute favorite place! I played the keyboard on the stage once. Things have changed, but things won't be forgotten ever! I love your version of Dancing on the Streets. How about a cover?
That's their worst cover imho and they did many covers.
I love you David!! You are beautiful!!
Eat 'Em and Smile is an outstanding record. That group Roth assembled is probably as close as you can get to the Van Halen gang. And at this time, EEAS was a much more united front than VH was, especially with Ed and Alex's alcohol problems.
VH1 classic needs to grab this show
Stevie *GUITAR* Miller...
Steve has such a cool voice, Dave and Steve singing a song together would be something else......
DLR is amazing man, yes you are
this is what we need right now on VH1 CLASSICS i would DVR THIS SHOW AS WELL
OMG! I always wondered if he was making that up about the Opel Kadett built into the wall. That's kind of awesome to actually see. :)
Great stuff, but it's got me wanting more, show us more of the art gallery Dave ! i noticed the big picasso brothers sign there , show us all the 80's clothing if you still have them, thanks !
David, do a road trip, come to my town!
Great stuff Dave.

Hell yeah.
They should put out a dvd of the Cafe Wha? show.
Okay, had to pause at 18:445 for a giggle fit. Yeah Dave, I miss the shoes too. :D
23.30...been waiting to see the Opel Kadet stationwagon!
Tahnk You, I think you should do the NY City fund raiser show.
Audio book of Crazy from the Heat? Film? Both?
I'm surprised to see Dave drinking an energy drink, is he using it as a come down?
Lmfao, some people with adhd drink it to calm down, he probably is doing the same lol
Yes Your Honor, No Your Honor, Nice Tie Your Honor!!
Love ya Dave! I wanna meet you someday!
I agree, VH1 CLassic needs to run this. it's awesomely wacky, like Dave!
So true!! TV is irrelevant to me now, I have no interest & it offers nothing anymore, only shit!!

If there's one person I gotta meet before I die, Its Diamond Dave
Hey, that's Dona Speir @ 14.45.
You know, it just occurs to me while watching this, that Dave said " DOH", before Homer ever even existed.
Of course dave is drinking some redbull
Fucking great!
Dave really outta just put out the movie script as a kind of short book or something, with pictures. It would probably be a fun thing to read. C'mon Dave, be like Nike, and just do it. More stuff the better.
I wonder if Diamond Dave has diamonds on the soles of his shoes....he's got CHARASMA!!!!!
Fucking awesome!
EVH is GOD
DAVE ADD MORE CLASSIC OLD CLIPS FROM HOME MOVIES FOR SHITS AND GIGGLES BRO
Dave, you're fucking awesome. I'd love to meet you one day. I'm so sick of all this shit people call music. Van Halen is the best, end of story.
Absolutely no, b/c the corporate producers will wreck the authenticity...IMO:)
Anyone know if Uncle Manny died? I heard he was in bad shape...
Bocephusly yes, he has winced passed. Lived a very long life though.
I want to see Dave gain 80 pounds and play Rodney Dangerfield in a biopic.
Wow now I know why this band didn't work.............................................................................................................................................................................................................................. IT NEEDED SOMEONE THAT COULD WRITE.. LIKE EDDIE VAN HALEN .
i do n v e.
Opal cadet.
