LeBron has literally never changed his dunk package 😂
Telanii Anoai 17 years workin why he would do that bro🤣
Off 1 foot jumper there only so much you can do. Just Look at the 2 time champ
@@martinsobarzo8851 it's called efficiency.
@@KDotO79 he can do free throw dunks. Btl basically Zach Lavine dunks
Why would change dominant perfection?
This brings back memories I graduated high school the same year as LeBron now I have a son in high school & LeBron is still the best in the world my how time flys
He is definitely the best in the world and will get a championship
@@SIRKskywalker as much as I hate the Lakers I agree with you the Clippers will be tough tho
I hope u got married before having a kid lol
Except he isn’t the best player in the world anymore.
lol u married so young.
LeBron won this dunk contest when he changed the song to 50's 'In Da Club'
Just Like 2003 college slam dunk contest when Bryon Parker in New Orleans
You can't even hear shi😂❤😂😂
Ahh, the early 2000s. Excessively Baggy clothing. Long platinum chains and 50 Cent was running hiphop.
Don't forget the du rags and wave caps with the fitted hats. Bruh, them boys had swagger back then. These new dudes today you'll see a bunch of skinny jeans with a bunch of holes in them with some lame, ear-bleeding Trap "Music" song playing in the background. This generation today has no swagger whatsoever. The early 2000's was a very special period.
@@fresh_jme Nah fam, by 2003 X's best music was behind him. 50 cent and G Unit owned 2003/4.
Lot better than those terrible “nut huggers” they where today;)
G-UNIT!
50 was on top or the hip hop world and Wayne was on the rise awaiting his take over
I can see why lebron never did the nba dunk contest, he’s more of a in game dunker
he is. but still... from 2004-2009 he could have won the contest with 0 creativity.... he could just elevate sooo high. He really should have participated. he would have won.
2000s Lebron was a different animal.... its weird now that the 2010s are wrapping up, we are now going to see 2020s Lebron.

Cept one of the guys the announcers talked about, VINCE CARTER! What's insane though is that Lebron has 5000 more minutes played than Vince Carter. That's about 2 extra seasons of minutes over vince carter.

Kobe was great in game dunker but not the greatest dunk competition dunker. He basically won the 97 dunk contest by default lol.
So nobody is gonna talk about how he’s wearing the Iversons.

I'm amazed at how much pressure people put on lebron his whole life.
High school dunk contest? Be Vince Carter plz k tnx.
His whole career the subject has always been about who hes not.
2003 was just a great year for everything music and all
Yeah that’s 💯
Yea boy! I graduated hs that year and everything was better
Jamison Anderson all up in em music videos now we have lame bitches in music videos
Man I wish I could go back to the early 2000s everything was better
I miss 2003.
It’s so awesome to see how he has grown and matured! Really amazing.
4:21 with his wife and his mon , man he is a legend
The announcer at 3:56 how he’s talking about the dunk but then saw the replay and how high his head was and just lost all professionalism and just blurted a natural “oh my god” such a real reaction
Its crazy to see how far lebron has come
Idk why, but when he says, “and those were in games.” I laughed. Ultimate Hype Man 😊😊
Like oh really?! We couldn’t tell! 😂
@@ellissmith23 😂😂😂😂 Exactly
His mom and his wife. Just knowing the fact how he love his GF way back up until now. 4:18
My man still doing it in year 20! 🔥😎 insanity!
Story of Lebron's career: So physically gifted that he doesn't need to be as creative or "magical" as the other players. Makes him look less flashy than other players. Easy production that doesn't look as interesting to many.
Best driver to the basket ever (with that unique power and speed), top 10 passer, below average shooter.
You're right. A 6ft8 260 lb athletic freak isn't interesting. That's why there's criticism... smh
Honestly only one dunk looked freakish the second one. he really under delivered, he had better dunks in game. Wilkins also wasnt as creative but he delivered at least.
🏀
@@Warden033you also have to consider that the reason why he is so athletic and heavy in weight is because he worked everyday in the gym for it. He was scrawny and not nearly the athlete he is now when he was in high school.
Man I remember the airing of this dunk contest and the McDonalds All-American game. This was during the latter half of my Freshmen year of High-School. This was the style from about 2001-2003 as far what a lot of the youngsters are rocking. I had my throwbacks with the wrist bands and headband with my braids during these years. LeBron really had all the hype for about a 2 year stretch before this dunk contest. LeBron was on the cover of ESPN's magazine going into his Junior year of High School which was back in the fall of 2001. That was bananas at the time.
I remember watching Lebron (with Wade, Melo, Bosh...) in Staples during Magic's charity game of NBA Rookies vs NBA Veterans (Fisher, Q-Rich, Pierce...). He already looked like a huge, strong, grown man when he was 18. Dang!
16 years ago ! Time runs fast...
bruh i remember watching this on an old ripped chair at a rec center. as a guy currently in his mid-20s, can say i am grateful to have watched LeBron James since I was in elementary school. i can image this is how kids in the very early 80s felt about Micheal Jordan and the same for the people in the mid-90s for Kobe
LBJ a true legend, don't ever want him out of the league
He is one of the most confident person I can ever see in the last 20 years of the NBA.
6:00 That's the winning dunk in my OP 🤯
I wouldn’t be mad if D Wade gave these a 9.
lol
Keefey Tho LOOL
I mean they are in high school
Carlos boozer didn't know that lebron james is a real threat till he matched up against him
Crazy to think most of the guys on the sideline are all retired now and Lebron is still building his legacy in the NBA. Wild
Zion was 3 years old...
The interesting thing about Bron's performance in this particular dunk contest was that stylistically he didn't do anything spectacular. It was about the force and power he had doing what was really run of the mill dunks, and obviously the hang time Bron got. That's what wowed everyone at the time including myself. Bron is just a different dude.
ペイスPaceロバートRobert exactly, that simple
Literally his head was above the room every dunk 😮 we ain’t never seen that up until n he was in high school…. I’ll never forget
Congrats Bron and the Lakers fam💜💛
"Im afraid he might jump out his britches" 😂😂 gotta love the early 2000s
Crazy how much the dunking style has changed😂
He’s always been well spoken to the media
I remember watching this when it aired and didn't really continue watching basketball after his first couple seasons. The thing that I remember was the hype about his head getting above the rim. I came back to make sure I how bs that call was. Well, he's not even trying and he could eat a cupcake from the on top the rim. Insane how athletic this guy is.
Crazy how this is almost 20 years ago, I remember 2003 like it was yesterday and I was 9 years old at the time.
Now that I've seen Bron in a dunk contest I can now die complete 😌
Anesu C You ask, you shall receive 😂
Anesu C rest in peace brother.
Are you still alive
@@8fouls163he sadly passed away yesterday at the ripe old age of 34.
The exaggeration in commentators reactions to Lebron is hilarious. Dude coulda done a layup and they woulda still went nuts. 😂
There is a guy on here with a similar story to me but backwards in time.. I remember Lebron in high school because im from Cleveland and I was then 12-14 years old... I now have a 4 year old son.. im now 30 years old and Lebron, is the best player in the world.
I remember watching this live at my brothers house and then going outside while it's raining practicing my dribble moves lol
Wow.Really good video qualily for those times
Eat McD and you’ll become the next Champ of Calories in HeartAttack League.
Fact that, he still in the league in top form and his kid is participating in this contest "20 years later"😎
Shannon did the most for that 360 dunk 😂 almost ran from outside the parking lotn
4:03 That's the highest Lebron has ever jumped and no one is talking about that.

Carlos Boozer be like: “Can’t wait to abandon this guy in a few years!”
You think he would have made a difference?
C Booz zerooooo chips I'm sure he'd love to have that one back.
@@Turk_2023 he was an all star at the time
Great times man. Went to the gym day after to try all them dunks. Wish he would’ve gave us one nba dunk contest.
Wow Shannon Brown 360 near foul line was amazing
Interesting to see Boozer as one of the judges because they end up being teammates a few months later in Cleveland. One of the biggest mistakes of Cleveland was letting Boozer sign with Utah. They might have won a championship with Boozer and Lebron in Cleveland. Possibly if they added another star even a dynasty.
6:33 the dude with the headphones got totally posterized!
I'll stand here and see what happens.... yup, ball goes through the rim.
Rip Kobe❤️
The question is, where are they now? How many of those guys on that court still playing basketball?
