Imagine being that mom, the stress she is probably under, trying to provide for her son, and then being face timed by him, telling him someone he had never met before has bought him a piano. Makes me extremely happy thinking of the joy Marcus brought in their life by doing that.
As someone coming from a broken home, with a single mother that tried her damndest to give us what she never had. This absolutely hits home. I can't imagine being her, where her kid has given out the address to send this, and the fear that that entails. And for this to be such a beautiful moment.

It's one thing to make someone's day by playing a song, any song they request, no matter how obscure it might be. It's a whole other thing to have a profound affect on someone's utter existence within 5 mins of meeting them. This was obviously an amazing and generous act of kindness, but more importantly, it's an event in the boys life that will ultimately affect his Outlook on life and the kind of person he grows up to be. Everything he does from now on will be influenced by the faith in humanity you instilled in him that night.

Inception was so trippy for me when I watched it, that i didn’t really pay attention to any of the music that was playing in the background. But the one that Marcus played, I do remember. And he played it excellently, as he does every other song he plays.
That kid at the end completely broke me. You can see how much of a struggle he has been trough by how mature and articulate he is with his words and how he can understand his own feelings.
Yeah dude...the situation of his family made him this mature at the age when he should not worry about things that adults should worry.
