Hello my friends, It was a privilege to record one of the best plein air artists Patrick Lee. His style is very unique and also he is in the line of best workshop teachers. Check his website listed in the description. I hope you will enjoy this demo. The episode about Plein Air Easton is coming as well. Please let me know if you have any questions. Enjoy ... as I enjoyed it :)
So fun to see the gang! And awesome to watch Patrick do his magic!
Shelby, you will be next :)... get ready!
Very fun video with painting buds 😊 Loved Patrick’s approach.
Thank you for recording this and putting it all together, Vlad! I had a great time hanging out with you!
I love the way this guy works
I like that this painting flows so well and he moved the horizon up as high as he could in order to give the focus matter more space.I like he small flat spaces with the knife. Would like to see a bit more abstract play with tones of the doors and openings to contrast the great roof. But for the time spent, he just nails it.
Just got my email for Plein Air Today. CONGRATULATIONS! Together again - good painting Vlad!
Thank you
I am going to use this technique to lay down color at the beginning. That couple in the background need to hush!😂
Thanks so much! I love his work.
Wow, thank you so much for this demo. I did learn a lot-especially to make the mess first and then clean it up, because we do get too committed to early precision. And what fun to see a gathering on the sidewalk of you rock stars!
Congrats on being one of the Plein air artists at the Smokies Plein Air in September! Have watched you for some time. 👍
Thank you! Are you going to be there?
Love your style. Thanks.
stack to my mind is too thin and makes axis of symmetry. too centred.
I don’t know how he painted that with people talking to him. But I really love the energy and the abstract quality. I’m not really an abstract painter, but I love an impressionistic painting with the least amount of detail to express what you see. I only wish he had emphasized that dark oval archway more, with the light peaking through, to add one focal point because the painting is very midtone and I think it needed that one drama. Other than that the edges are beautiful the colors are beautiful.
Lovely work! curious, what surface was he painting on?
