- Great line delivery ("I still wouldn't like you") by uncredited actor Gertrude Short, in the 1934 film "The Thin Man." Based on novel of same name by Dashiell Hammett, directed by W.S. Van Dyke, and starring William Powell and Myrna Loy.

“Whaddaya mean ‘illiterate’? My father and mother were married right here in the City Hall!”
Great actress. Loved her in The Mating Game.

🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS 😂 ‼️
I don't like waiting for punchlines, and if I did like waiting for punchlines I still wouldn't think this one was all that funny.
It's not a comedic routine you dimwit and the insult is not a punchline, it's just a slightly amusing insult on the end of dialogue relating to previous scenes, and she delivered it perfectly.
I couldn't say it any better and if I could say it any better, I wouldn't say it.
