  • Great line delivery ("I still wouldn't like you") by uncredited actor Gertrude Short, in the 1934 film "The Thin Man." Based on novel of same name by Dashiell Hammett, directed by W.S. Van Dyke, and starring William Powell and Myrna Loy.

    I don't like waiting for punchlines, and if I did like waiting for punchlines I still wouldn't think this one was all that funny.

      It's not a comedic routine you dimwit and the insult is not a punchline, it's just a slightly amusing insult on the end of dialogue relating to previous scenes, and she delivered it perfectly.
