- It's time for annual Steam Whistles video
One of the main enjoyments of Steam Locomotives, is of course the whistle fitted to them. They vary from class to class, being high pitched 'Bell' types to lower pitch chimes.
We've got a nice variety in the UK, so please enjoy my selection from the last 12 months.
With one is your favourite?
3:30 WOW!
Alright let’s get this video started with the 7th part of the whistles
Thank you for sharing! 👍
Whilst the hauling /propelling steam locomotives had whistles, instead of whistles on the driving coaches some of the Southern Region's 1959-converted Maunsell pull-push sets were equipped with air horns.... 🤔
As an aside, the Southern Region's electric units started being changed from whistles to air horns in the early sixties; London Underground still uses whistles! 😉
Nostalgia on steroids!! All the sounds of the past. Thank you
I always enjoy these complications, thanks for making them!
Many really good ones on here. Personally, my favourite is the LMS standard "Stanier" hooter whistle, but on this video it's got to be the whistle on the red saddle tank hurrying along with the maroon coaching stock (I could be wrong but it looks like the Foxfield Railway).
Finding it hard to beat Britannia atm!
toot toot! :)
think the bagnall won that haha
Half the of those Whistles sound a bit Pathetic to be honest best one i think is Clan Line, Great video thanks❤❤😅
