  • Well the timing set is done and before we let this Inifiniti QX56 head down the road and back down south we want to make sure all the t's are crossed and i's are dotted. With a set of struts sitting in the truck we figured let's get those on and reset the alignment and while we're at it let's check the balance on these big new meats!
Quickly we realize, someone's been in here that shouldn't have been! Who in the world balanced these wheel and tire combinations?! Well, one more bit of work to do before we can let it go.

They are balanced perfect. I run 95 mph everywhere on the highway and it's smooth as silk

Happy to hear that! You all have some serious speed limits down there! 😉

Most shops don’t calibrate their machines often either.

Rich a great job. Getting this Infinity back road worthy. Those big tires are always tough to balance. You’re getting noticed Nationwide. As a trusted shop. Thanks for sharing!

They are expensive to fix. Thats why I like my old cars. I am 72 but still like working on my cars. Great videos, I like your work. 👍

Back in the days of old, if we had a tire really crazy out of balance with no weight on them ,we would mark the valve location and turn the tire on the rim 180 degrees and rebalance it

Way back in 93 I worked at a tire shop for 7 years. Boy I can tell you the equipment sure has changed! Good video Rich!

Indeed! Some of the new change machines look like an octopus 🐙 but as 20+” wheels being normal adaptations have to be made. But these “road force” balance systems are more of a gimmick

Anytime I had a tire wanting 2oz or more I broke it down and started rotating it a quarter turn at a time to get it as close as possible then add weight takes more time but well worth it 90 percent of time

The big "Q-ship" looks like tires are a bit to aggressive for the vehicle...???.... but it's good content and good job Rich....thanks.

It’s like wearing a long sleeve shirt but just the sleeves…. Some years back I had a white visor with bright blue hair that I used to wear to the gym.

work of a honest mechanic is never done...if the customer uses the truck to hunt, something less than a 22" wheel would be better/best. Those MT tires can't be cheap in 22s w/that sidewall. 19s would be more "practical" 😅 🤔

I have a 7.3 diesel with 35s on 16inch rims. So I can use it at my disposal. Btw, 22s on mud grips in Mississippi bean fields ride just fine
