Hey friends, I hope this message reaches a few of you all. I’m currently living in a Protestant household and I have come to realize the validity and richness of the Catholic faith. I want to join through RCIA and begin the confirmation process, but my parents are quite opposed to such. I will start going to daily Mass soon, just to be in the presence of our Lord more fully. *Larry Burkett's book on "Giving and Tithing" drew me closer to God and helped my spirituality. 2020 was a year I literally lived it. I cashed in my life savings and gave it all away. My total giving amounted to 40,000 dollars. Everyone thought I was delusional. Today, 1 receive 85,000 dollars every two months. I have a property in Calabasas, CA, and travel a lot. God has promoted me more than once and opened doors for me to live beyond my dreams. God kept to his promises to and for me*
It is the digital market. That's been the secret to this wealth transfer. A lot of folks in the US and abroad are getting so much from it, God has been good to my household Thank you Jesus
Bishop Barron. You truly Made me smile today . Especially since I Just had my 89 birthday And am getting closer the end of my journey . It will be Wonderful to reach my eternal Home. Jesus is awaiting 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Bishop Barron, Whenever I listen to your sermons, it seems that God himself is speaking through you. What are wonderful explanation! I am really fortunate to be able to listen to you. Thank you!
Really, there are some brilliant persons still there in this broken world who are trying their level best to spread the gospel to the ends of this Earth. It also reminds us that we should also actively take part in this mission!
The olympics just reposted the opening ceremony full video we should all go make our voices heard!!!!!!! Also tell all other Christians that you know about the reupload!!!!!!!
I didn’t realize how filthy and weighed down I was until I went to confession for the 1st time in 30yrs, and i didn’t realize how starving I was until i received the Eucharist after. Christ is King
Years ago, my elderly mother would rave and rave about Bishop Barron (BB!) who said or appeared at the Masses she attended at the Mission in Santa Barbara or Montecito. I hadn't quite returned to the Church yet and when I did return, I discovered BB and these videos and The Word on Fire--but BB was gone from our city. Rats, I just missed him! Well, thank God we have these wonderful, inspiring videos...here I am about to go visit my 97-year-old mother who is so unhappy and wants to die and she's angry that she isn't dying yet because she's so miserable with the food and housing and just tired about life. I'm going to play this video for her to encourage her to hang in there--and I think it will give her a little lift and she will be so happy that none other than Bishop Barron will be delivering this timely reminder. Thank you and God bless you BB.
This homily helped me realize that I can’t make everything perfect in this life, so I should stop trying so hard and quit beating myself about it. It’s supposed to be hard here sometimes and I can’t keep that from happening. Our heavenly home will be perfect and our food for the journey will help us get there. As I reread my comments here, I know that I knew this already, but for some reason it has sunk in today and given me more hope. Thank you, Bishop Barron
God bless you Bishop. Your sermons are so encouraging. I am 81 years old. Don't watch the news. Last night I felt I should watch the news, and after I watched, I regretted watching. Why did I do that. My children and grandchildren are my joy. Going to mass and receiving the eucharist ,adoration, lunch with friends a few times a month is wonderful. But everything else is a ride long distance in a car, airplane, or a motel. Your sermon was wonderful.🙏🙏🙏
My Lord Bishop, I respect you and I love your homilies and I do take them into consideration for my reflection. I am a Seminarian, very soon I'm going to join the novitiate, I am through with Philosophy for 3 years and your homilies are really helping me to grow. please, keep it up!
When Covid arrived, we suffered lockdown, lost our jobs, taking care of 91-year Diabetic Dementia Mum, dwindling savings; how many thousand times have I asked the LORD, "When will this end?! We can't do it anymore, LORD! YOU are not listening. It's falling on deaf ears." Truly, attending daily Mass has helped us endure this ongoing earthly purgatory! Thank you for this encouragement. We needed to hear it, Your Excellency. LOL, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
In the deeply secular culture we live in today, what a powerful message from BB. Like so much of teaching of Jesus, the idea that we are not meant for this world is a hard truth to take in. Here is an example of God’s grace. When we do finally accept this truth and allow Jesus to sustain us, the journey in this life opens up in the best way possible. Your life does not really begin until you first allow Christ to be the most important thing in your life.
for sure we are here to better the world around us with Jesus leading us may we all find the way to express his love and help raise up all who cross our path God Guide US Amen and may Peace come all who are suffering
"You have to find sustenance for yourself during the journey...... That's the Eucharist." Those words and that pause.... Poetry. Thank you, good Bishop for being so beautifully human 💕
I’ve been listening to your sermons for years, literally awestruck by your command of so many disparate subjects, theological, philosophical, secular, hell, baseball, too, for that matter. A certain fanboy dimension, long unconscious, probably factored into my not writing in the comments section before. Your erudition was intimidating, through no fault of your own. That being said, today’s homily of Bishop Barron on planes, trains, and automobiles, of bad nights in a bad hotel to get us to the centrality of the Eucharist as our sustenance to get us through the journey left me amazed in yet another way. Your candor and humanity came through here with a brilliance on par with that encyclopedic intellect of yours. I’ve always wondered how celebrating the sacrament of reconciliation would be like with you. Now I must make a pilgrimage to Minnesota and confess that I don’t understand a great many things that trouble me, including the reverence for Bob Dylan. You are uniquely qualified to enlighten my mind and unburden my soul from this seemingly unshakable inability to value Dylan more highly. Talk about thorns in Saint Paul’s flesh! Good Lord! In asynchronous communication such as this, things can get misconstrued and perceived as being facetious in a trivializing, disrespectful way. I can assure you that I’m very serious. Blessings! You are truly a treasure to the Church and one of the most edifying speakers I’ve ever encountered. Thank you.
Loved this homily padre Barron. Haven’t done this much laughing through a homily before. Trips and the stories we have from traveling are always hilarious. In the moment torture, chaos and danger, later, crying from laughing. May we laugh through life until we get there. May we be always prepared for the trip, may we help others along the way always. May we travel with the angels, may God be in our every word, every action, in all our senses. May we feel Him with us. May we bring our family and friends with us to the Eternal Kingdom. May we find Our Heavenly Father waiting with open arms. Thanks for the laughs and smiles. Bless you
As Bishop Barron says and as Peter, Paul and Hebrews also say, we are sojourners on earth but, you know, I'm not tired of this life, either. So many fun things happening -- with family, friends, politics, and almost daily new discoveries in medicine, science, technology, space, creativity in the arts, health and human behavior. It is all a gift from God -- as was the Garden of Eden -- and it's still a wonderful life, with the exception of airplane travel.
Bishop Barron - Another grear, rousing, and inspiring homily. Thank you. Regarding your future travel Fly Aer Lingus to UK and Europe. My wife Ann (married 45 years) is from Coventry England. We have made the trip many times, including a thirteen hour ordeal non-stop from LAX to LHR on a TWA 747! We flew to Manchester via Aer Lingus (Ireland’s national airline) earlier this Summer. Aer Lingus is the best flying we’ve experienced! We were in coach and there was plenty of room and comfy seats, service was wonderful. VERY CLEAN.
Blessings and thanks Bishop Barron for all your hard work in service to our Lord 🙏🏻❤️Thanks especially for your inspiring sermons 🙏🏻May we all pray for peace in this world 🌎 🙏🏻😊
Best place trip I ever had...Boston to LA My family flew standby. Back then you had to dress up. It was always so stressful, never knowing if you'd get on or not. Anyway, we got upgraded to first class. It was a massive plane with recliners. The flight attendants brought us giant, hot, chocolate chip cookies and fresh hot towels for our face. There was a spiral staircase going to a second floor. It was like out of a movie. I was around 12 years old. Incredible experience. Once in a lifetime, all the other flights I've taken since, have been nightmares 😂
7:30 eastern time I love Bishop Barron's sermons. I try to listen to all of them. This one really hit home for me. All his talks are always so profund and easy to understand.
For college graduation, I was given a trip to Europe. From JFK we took a small Portuguese plane. I sat in the last seat which was a bench like the back of an old bus. A European man with his suit jacket over his shoulders, sits next to me, smiles and orders a bottle of champagne. I naively thought the flight might have an unexpected perk. The continental mister drank the entire bottle by himself from New York to Portugal without so much as a nod in my direction. From then on the Lord was my travelling companion of choice.
Bishop Barron's extended discourse on the nature of travel is certainly a good way to emphasize his point about how we're passing through this world somewhere else, which is a good reminder because we have a way of putting down so many roots in this world, which can be a drawback and helpful, too. I definitely dislike air travel, most especially because of the TSA checkpoints, but also because the seats are so confining. The only two times I liked traveling on the airplane are when I was going to and from WYD 2019, and then when I went from Midway-Chicago to Long Beach and I had a window seat and could actually appreciate the views. The Long Beach airport was also fantastic. On the way back, I had two Southwest flights and the opportunity to give up my seat so two couples could sit together. It's true that one of the downsides of traveling is that all vehicles are confining in some way. Nevertheless, I enjoy a good road trip, for the opportunity to see teh country I'm passing through. I can listen to good music and podcasts, or if I'm in the passenger seat, a good book. Train travel on Amtrak is so enjoyable for me. There are definite downsides like the reality that the seats aren't comfortable for solid sleep on overnight rides and the food isn't the greatest quality. But I appreciate the opportunity to see the country I'm passing through and the chance to connect with fellow passengers while we're spending hours and hours on end in the same space. I even enjoyed traveling in the midst of pandemic restrictions, and I had to keep my nose and mouth covered even while sleeping. For a ride from San Bernadino, CA, to Naperville, IL, I was covered for 36-40 hours. Truly, Bishop Barron makes a good point that we're headed somewhere, namely Heaven, and we can experience tastes of Heaven, most literally in the Eucharist.
Bishop Barron, boy, can I relate to those long car rides---just throw in the fact that I was in the back, back station wagon seat on the rear bumper facing two siblings and sitting beside another, constant car sickness, and an Uncle who smoked, thinking he was being considerate by cracking the window 1/2 inch. Yet, how blessed we were to have a family, a car that functioned, and a place to go! That we may all arrive together one day in heaven with our Blessed Lord, Bishop Barron and all who are reading this note! Amen.
@@lisamarieyavarone2362 oh how I understand, the station wagon, both parents smoking , six kids, and a basset hound way in the back , lol . No seatbelts ,and my two brothers messing around way in the back . We’d be an hour into the trip and mom would say , “ Paul, the children are hungry, and Gus needs water , ( our basset hound) 😂 the best memories
Yes, they are my glimmer moments . They are a deep , deep , and certain soul feeling, and they’re heavenly because they are from heaven . Transcendence.
Such a comfort to be reminded that one day ‘this’ will end and there will be a point to it all. My cup is filled every week enough to get me through to the next. Great to journey with you Bishop Barron. Please come to Australia one day, it would mean so much to meet you. God bless you. 🙏🏼🌟
I never miss your comments on Sunday, after mass I check your views on the readings, they are so thought provoking,I'm 81 but Bishop ,your videos are my solace!God Bless you and many years ahead !
Those who hate their lives will keep it for life eternal. I love my life because Jesus in it. I love God's creation, nature, skies, stars, and the moon. Without the eucrist I feel that something is missing in me. And nope, before I was baptized Catholic, I did not enjoy travelling, five stars hotels or the five stars food. There was something missing. It's as if the area of enjoyment in my brain was blocked, obliterated, but the presence of Jesus activated it. Only thanking Jesus for what he gave me, the Catholic faith, for the children I have, and for his glorious creation around me, I can enjoy.
You are right, with all the suffering we can still enjoy life with Jesus dwelling in us. He is our joy. I enjoy being led by Jesus through good times and bad times knowing that He is allowing it to teach me something, it’s for a reason. And so I offer my suffering to Jesus to amend for others. That gives a meaning to my life. Thank you dear Bishop Barron. Beautiful sermon as usual. Much blessings!
Bishop, you explain the message in such a way that it's possible to internalise it. God bless you and give you many more years to break His Word for the Church. Amen
For those of us who don't have the privilege to travel ask God to send you there spiritually, you can embrace the ones you love and miss. Your soul will feel it. Their's too.
God love you, Bishop Barron. He took in stride it’s difficult traveling, but you did such a good job and thank God that you made the trip you did help so many people and I love you, Bishop Barron.
I love Bishop Barron’s sermons analogies and how it always affects my own life. Life is hard sometimes but I know God is always there for me ✝️through Jesus Christ ✝️
Bishop Barron your simple, down to earth analogy of how to get to heaven by living in the most ordinary ways on earth is truly an invitation once again to pursue life with Christ everyday in the Holy Eucharist. Thank you so much for the great effort to be heard and understood. This is indeed an opportunity to grow more. I pray for you always Bishop.
I studied at Catholic University of America. I remember it as an interesting time. There are many talented people on the faculty. Like Bishop Barron, my first overseas trip was to Glasgow, Scotland. Since then I have learned to take all journeys in stride: 13 hours, 17 hours, 22 hours. Life is a journey.
This was a wonderful message. Bishop Barron always keeps my attention throughout his sermon and at the end, I want it to keep going. Thank you Bishop Barron.
If this wasn't meant for me, then i don't know how else God can speak so directly! I have the most important thing on this journey, the EUCHARIST, and when this bad night in a bad hotel is over, i can be sure I'll be sustained all the way home. Wow, God bless you too, Bishop. Love from Uganda.
The journey of life is tough. We often get stuck in bad hotels, have flights cancelled, and traffic jams. Thank you bishop for the reminder that we need the Eucharist, to sustain us on our journey heavenward!
Lord only you know the burdens I face as a single mom and Heavenly Father you can change them. Father God I’m in need of your guidance and support. Both of my sons are special needs and require so much from me. I’m overwhelmed at times. I need your help providing for my children. Lord I’m constantly struggling each month to pay rent and I struggle to buy groceries, for my sons I’m ashamed. Lord I come to you asking for help dealing with these issues.
If I may, I ask for your prayers for me. Thank you all.

How can I start this digital market, any guidelines and how can I reach out to her?

I'd prefer comfort. And perhaps it is too easy for the Pope to make such a bold statement when he is living in such opulence.

Bishop Barron truly is a gem.
I enjoyed your sermon..as you say..sometimes we glimpse a bit of Heaven when we realize the beauty of the world. My pet dog reminds me of that.
If you cannot find a 'point' before this ends then that's very sad
Thank you, bishop!

One of the best relatable analogies to the foundation of our faith. Thank you Bishop! May God bless and protect you this day!
Thank you, Bishop! A beautiful homily 💜
Another great homily. Thank you Bishop Barron!!

God love you, Bishop Barron. He took in stride it’s difficult traveling, but you did such a good job and thank God that you made the trip you did help so many people and I love you, Bishop Barron.
Bishop Barron, funny...I think many of us can empathize...yet your message made your way to my heart.
Saludos padre de este sacerdote. Dios te bendiga.
Ahora aprendo ingles contigo mientras escucho la palabra de nuestro Señor.

Thank you Bishop
Thank you, Bishop Barron. With your sermons, a fresh new day starts.🌅 I am grateful and happy to listen to you.
Eucharist best explained to the heart more than the brain. Thank you, God bless you Rev Bishop Barron.
I really enjoyed your sermon - and you made the point so well! We are on a journey going to Heaven
The hallmark of a good teacher is simplicity. This is good. We are not meant to be in the car.
What a great way to clarify today's passages. Thank You Sir...God Bless you too!
Thank you Bishop Barron for strengthening my faith and deepening my belief.🙏🙏🙏😊
I don't know how i got into Adoration wanting to give up, but i get out with a revived heart and courage that the world can't give me
Beautiful sermon, Bishop 🤗
Muchas gracias honored Mentor Bishop Barron ❤
Magnificent! I love the analogy of the 500hr.trip...with photographic transition!
I will give you the true manna that will sustain you in your journey🙏🙏🙏
“That’s the Eucharist” Amen to that.
DITTO, MY DEAR FATHER, TO ALL THAT.
I PRAY THAT GOD WILL GIVE ME THE GRACE AND STRENGTH TO 'GET HOME'
Lord only you know the burdens I face as a single mom and Heavenly Father you can change them. Father God I’m in need of your guidance and support. Both of my sons are special needs and require so much from me. I’m overwhelmed at times. I need your help providing for my children. Lord I’m constantly struggling each month to pay rent and I struggle to buy groceries, for my sons I’m ashamed. Lord I come to you asking for help dealing with these issues.
Believe the Lord is with you on your journey! My prayers are with you, as well!
You seem to post these exact words on multiple sites and multiple times. I hope you can feel the prayer support.
So true, Bishop Baron. God bless you.
Thank you Bishop Barron ✝️🕊️🙏
what a beautiful homily Bishop!! I thank you deeply!
