I did this about three months ago for my kayaks. I even put one through my battery box (sealed to prevent water from coming in)for the battery I use with my Newport NK300. It's a great idea, thanks for sharing!

lol, what a coincidence. I just received some Anderson connectors earlier this week. Going to replace the SAE connectors with them. The SAEs fall out too easily. Nothing like motoring along or holding place in creek current and then your power suddenly cuts out because the plug fell out. Hopefully the Andersons will solve that problem.

They’ll stay in place for years. Just don’t yank the connectors apart by the wire.

I like how you used heat shrink because i was on a boat that started to short out and caught fire because they used electrical tape the slipped rather than heat shrink

Thanks for the video. I’ve been considering Anderson plugs and you made it look easy. But where do you put your breaker? Isn’t it usually in line with the positive cable running to the battery? Just curious.
I did the same with mine. But I soldered the connection caps.

Save some money for a better Crimping- tool. One that makes a Hexagon crimp. I never ever used shrinktube at my anderson connectors and i made M A N Y, many connectors on a project in the zeros (im electrician) 😅😅😊
