It didn’t appear a single person in the crowd was buying Aerosmith shirts. All GnR. I love that I was at the perfect age for when bands like this made it big.
This song came on the radio right after my Dad passed away. In the 15 years since, it came on when each of my kids were born, his birthday/parents wedding anniversary, sisters Birthdays etc... song never fails to make me cry and feel good at the same time.

"Don't cry" was actually the first song Guns N' Roses recorded together as a band back in 1985/ '86 (?) when they were a bunch of local misfits living off the streets in Hollywood, California... It was not recorded until 1991, for the 'Use your illusion' albums.

You should check them out, anything but the song No Rain, it was a big hit but not representative of the band's catalog. Maybe start with Blind Melon's Change which was the Shannon wrote and played to get into the band. My personal favorite would be Time.
Had to pull a “Jungle Book” on this one. 😊 Made it through the guitar solo. Then that typical Axl vocal style kicked in. I cannot abide it. Talk about nails on a chalkboard….that’s Axl Rose to me.
