I own the the same machine in the single bench design and let me tell you I'm very impressed with this UTV !!! Just want to point out if your not impressed with the stubby front end of the machine you will love it in the tight woods navigating around trees believe me, I'm very happy with the choice I made.
I drove both today. The ranger shifter was very awkward and clunky compared to the Defender. Ranger only has a small box in the dash for storage, the Defender smokes everything in that category. Ranger's throttle was jerky even in work or normal mode compared to the Defender. Turning radius and ride also goes to the Defender. The Ranger was quoted to me about $800 cheaper. I'm not a Can Am dealer or fanboy, I don't even own one (yet) just my take on it.
I just feel sorry for the cows, I mean come on, you drive right past them and keep on cruising around the farm with that tasty bail of hay... How cruel can you be?
Totally different types of machines. RZR is in the sport class comparable to the Maverick X3. Defender is in the utility class comparable to the Ranger.
@@m118lr I was riding with my daughter the other night and we hit a bump and knocked heads together pretty hard, goofy or not, good thing we had helmets. Plus, the roll cage pipe is as hard as any rock out there and a 3 point seat belt will not hold you in place well enough to keep your head from making contact with the cage in a impact or rollover.
The Kubota RVT has 21 hp and only has a 25mph top speed on hard ground. On soft ground ours can't even pull high range let alone cross any kind of a ditch since the suspension will not articulate like the Ranger or Defender and gets high centered. The hydrostatic is nice but the Kubota should be classified as a jobsite tractor only.
Need a 1000 to carry hay and 4 people nah most people get farm trucks lot more reliable, street legal, and can handle big loads like you would actually be doing not just one hay bell

Jan Bloem Depends where you live, I live in Northern Ontario (Canada) and we can drive any side by side on all roads except major highways.

nope hay is hay and straw stems arnt, no nutritional value in straw, most animals wont eat it. mostly used for bedding

Mud is no problem for the kubota, just crawls through.
