Between the Disneyland Resort and WDW, DLR has gotten all the Tron things. From the Peoplemover thru the World of Tron to ElecTRONica, DL NEEDS Tron. I think they agree too, and even know how it would fit.
I think the Disneyland date was just a helper clue to identify the fact that they are dates, much like the Magic Kingdom opening date it is something we are all familiar with so it helps us deduce the real meaning.
The tweet itself "Need a Clu?", purposely spelled without the 'e', was also a nod to the movies. CLU aka Codified Likeness Utility which was Flynn's personal program on the Grid in both the original film and the sequel.
I’m so happy you covered this! I’m a part of the Disney College Program for the coming spring and in our DCP 2023 group chat we were trying to figure it all out! We got all the same ones you did. As for the opening day for the ride, we’re all thinking it’ll be the 4/21 due to the cast member preview. Here’s hoping I can be a part of that!!
At first I was thinking, where are they going to fit it at Disneyland? The only place I can think of, is if they take out the Carousel of Progress building, it hasn't been used for anything permanent for years!
April would probably be their best bet for an opening right now- have stress tests with CMs and APs before Spring Break is in full swing, open something major to draw people back after the 50th finishes, and get something in MK as a ‘replacement’ for when Splash Mountain goes down end of January. Man I hope everything goes well, it’s been so long already.
Thank you for being analytical so I didn’t have to. That literally went over my head I saw the post and was like wow that’s weird lol. Did not… compute
I'm pretty sure #8 is July 4th 1995-2004. Not entirely sure what exactly it means, the only thing that comes to mind is Disneyland's 40th-49th anniversary. Even more of a stretch is that the LB stands for late birthday as if this is in reference to Tron being a late birthday gift for Magic Kingdom's 50th anniversary. Highly unlikely though.
Weird idea, what if each Tron ride was based on a different version of Tron? WDW, Shanghai, and DL(🤞🏻). Uprising, Legacy, and Classic Tron. If DLs Tron was based on Classic Tron I would die from happiness!
One idea I had for US and CM: what if they’re dates, but take them literally… For example, 4/48/2023 doesn’t exist. But what if you kept counting after the 30th day of April until it would be the “48th?” That would be May 18th. Are they planning an announcement on May 18th? Similarly, what if the “13th” month of 2023 is actually January of 2024? Making that day 1/21/2024. Maybe it’s what they’ll announce in May? LB I have no clue. 😂
I was just at MK tonight and got some amazing videos of Tron running. They are in full send with the cycling of the RVs. And the area around it has pathways now.
Think about this, HOW is Disneyland connected to Tron? How about Tron Light Cycle just after going past Space Mountain just after going through the Starcade, on what mobile passenger type vehicles???? Can we guess why that reference to Disneyland’s most iconic attraction in futuristic, yes that’s right you guessed it, the PeopleMove Tomorrowland!!!!!
Could LB be someone who worked for Disney between 7/1949 and 5/2004? Or someone named LB who was born in 1949 and died in 2004? OR something in “new tomorrow land” from July 4 1995 to 2004?
I think it might even be January? 21? Why would they do this 3 months in advance. Cause it cant be 01, it wouldnt fit in the scoreboard. Ok the cm thing makes sense for 4...but they could have put it right after that if they wanted to keep it 04? Maybe the positions have meaning somehow? Disneyland has had tron attractions, including the peoplemover, I wouldn't read anything massive in it.
If this is an opening date announcement, it'd be the coolest announcement I've ever seen.
There was a TRON section for the PeopleMover at Disneyland, so maybe your hope for that should not be dead yet, Dallin.
not to mention that if it goes where Launch Bay is now, it would occupy the same building as the TRON segment used to
Other crazy theory, what if LB Stands for LAUNCH BAY!!!
That could also be why the date was mentioned in the first place, due to that portion of the old PeopleMover
Between the Disneyland Resort and WDW, DLR has gotten all the Tron things. From the Peoplemover thru the World of Tron to ElecTRONica, DL NEEDS Tron. I think they agree too, and even know how it would fit.
@@rct3isepic STOP IT THAT MAKES AO MUCH SENSE
If you take off the first number in each of the areas separated by the commas, you'd get 3,12,23, so it could be March 12th instead.
I think the Disneyland date was just a helper clue to identify the fact that they are dates, much like the Magic Kingdom opening date it is something we are all familiar with so it helps us deduce the real meaning.
This is actually such cool marketing. I’m so excited for Tron to open!
The tweet itself "Need a Clu?", purposely spelled without the 'e', was also a nod to the movies. CLU aka Codified Likeness Utility which was Flynn's personal program on the Grid in both the original film and the sequel.

The DCP is amazing! Work hard and have fun!
At first I was thinking, where are they going to fit it at Disneyland? The only place I can think of, is if they take out the Carousel of Progress building, it hasn't been used for anything permanent for years!
Hollywoodland seems like a good option to me (maybe even rethemed to Start Industries).

I think April is correct! Can't wait - I was actually hoping that the 13 stood for 12 + 1 (January) but that was just wishful thinking!
May-haps not? They made it obfuscated for a reason... or DID they?
It could be that 13 is January. Of 2024 (the 13th month of 2023).
Thank you for being analytical so I didn’t have to.
That literally went over my head
I saw the post and was like wow that’s weird lol. Did not… compute
Well Disney owns The Simpsons and the told us what the 13th month is. So it will be opening up on Smarch 21, 2023.

Putting the tron coaster into DL would be really neat- fits into the "what the 80's thought the future would be'" aesthetic for tomorrowland
Now that is how you announce a release date. If this is for real, well done Disney!
Weird idea, what if each Tron ride was based on a different version of Tron? WDW, Shanghai, and DL(🤞🏻). Uprising, Legacy, and Classic Tron. If DLs Tron was based on Classic Tron I would die from happiness!
After six to seven long years, Tron will finally open. For some reason it felt longer than that lol pretty cool analysis you did here Dallin 👍
By the time it opens, they’ll have to close it for a refurb.
It’s nuts that its taken them longer to build the Tron clone than it did to build the whole of Shanghai Disneyland which took 4 years
A family friend of mine.. was working at the Livermore labs were tron was filming when it was filmed….
April 21st is right in the middle of my first trip to WDW since I was a kid (1982)! If that's the date, it's going to be a wild trip!
This is genius! Disney needs to post more stuff like this!! I can’t wait for Tron. Disney has really taken their sweet time on this one. 😅😂😂
Wow Dallin! I’m SUPER IMPRESSED that you figured all those clues out! GOOD JOB!!! 😎
It’s official! Opening April 4!! Spring break at MK is gonna be INSANITY
Autopia is the perfect space for it, but I'm not sure they'll ever go through with it
I'm not a fan of Autopia, so I'd be happy to lose it.. and it takes up SO much real estate...
They could take out what was America Sings and the Pizza Planet restaurant.
That’s not big enough
booked it to the offhand disney channel
Obviously, the opening date is the 13 month in 2023 and Disneyland is getting a Tron inspired People-mover. A very slow version of Tron.
Never forget DCAs most electric dance party, ElecTronica
12+1=13=January 21st, splash mountain closes and tron opens, a soul for a soul
The first rule of alchemy.
What a fun way to tease the announcement… great job Disney!! … and with the video!
One idea I had for US and CM: what if they’re dates, but take them literally…

LB I have no clue. 😂
Maybe LB is the weight of the ride system
I love seeing love for Tron 1982
we'll be there later that week also - actually getting to meet you would be ALMOST as cool as riding TRON!
I was just at MK tonight and got some amazing videos of Tron running. They are in full send with the cycling of the RVs. And the area around it has pathways now.
1:35
JB Jeff bridges
They have been testing it all week. It’s running.
The Disneyland "score" entry might just be there as the basis for figuring out the cypher, but I dunno.
Especially with it just being the Disneyland opening date.
Disney imagineers at their best! Love the TRON teaser!!!👌🏻
When did disneyland peoplemover get the Tron section?
1982
Well sleuth-ed!
Maybe the Disneyland reference is because it had Flynn's Arcade?
It had more than that.
I believe row 8 is Light Bike. 7 cars. Top g force 4, top speed 95.4 km/hr
Ads should always be puzzles. It's just the right way to do it.
I hope Disneyland gets a different ride system for their Tron.
Like what?
oh yeah they put out a thing saying, "need a clu" those were right, the first one is the highest tron score.
1955 is how much more they're going to raise the price of parking this year.
($19.55)
You better stay true to your word and make it there opening day. Can’t walk it back now that it’s getting closer.
04/21, already booked my stay
Just a coincidence this announcement was on Super Nintendo World pass member reservation day? I think not
That is so cool!
How cool and exciting! Thanks for sharing!
You have the exact same mouse as me! How cool!
That is all.
Really hoping for 3/21 because I'm going the last week of March.
Mad to think that Galaxys edge was built in less time (4 years) than Tron (6 years)
pass holders are supposed to be able to ride before the main opening looking forward to gettin in there before the herds!
So Dallen's going to Disney World in March? I MUST FIND HIM
I noticed the DL opening date immediately. Great job , great fun. I will just settle for the People Mover!
Disneyland opened July 17, 1955, hence 7171955.
Tron Uprising isn't on the list. But I don't know if Disney was involved with it at all.
Number 8 might be the ride's build cost in pounds.
Literally in Animal kingdom right now
I’m in Disney World April 15th-24th 🥹 I would sell my SOUL to be able to ride Tron Lightcycle Run 😭
#8 LB(light bike) 7 Cars, 4gs Launch, 95.04 Kph Max Speed
Could LB be someone who worked for Disney between 7/1949 and 5/2004? Or someone named LB who was born in 1949 and died in 2004? OR something in “new tomorrow land” from July 4 1995 to 2004?
Maybe something at the arcade?
Yessssssssssss
Then my mind goes straight to the Lagoon 🤔
I saw it being tested when I was on the people mover in December
I’m sorry Shanghai opened almost 7 years ago!?
Yes
Are they referencing....the PeopleMover .....? Since it had a Tron section....?????
i'm all for a tron ride at anaheim, but more hoping for something, anything avatar-related coming instead
im going to take june there for her birthday (she is a fictional character)
April 21st is a Friday also... March 21 is a Tuesday. what day of the week does Disney like to open attractions?
Isn't that DL date the opening day of Peoplemover: Thru the world of Tron?
The DL date is the opening day of DisneyLand itself in California.
I think your 1 is just a place holder. I think that opening date is 3-21-2023
April 21 makes sense because it’s a Friday.
Or, line 2 could mean 1/32 which is really 2/1, so Feb 1, 2023
Disney answered your question quickly. Yes, the answer is yes lol. 4/4
They also made a lot of other great announcements!
LB COULD be a reference to the director of TRON, Steven Lisberger but his birthday doesn’t match.
Disneyland had Trojan on the people mover
Epic universe will be 75% built by the time this thing opens
And tron is not even a better coaster to its competitors
Tron legacy way underrated
Good old cryptic Disney
Lol There is NO way Disneyland is getting this ride
Yeah tron opening date cool cool… now where is the earl of sandwich reopening offhand news video 👀👀👀
But that’s just a theory, a Theme Park Theory! 😂
I’m still sad about January 23rd.
If 6 is true, I’m gonna be the Patrick Beverly meme
Wow
Keep up the work. Great person. Keep it up Dallin
True!
Top thrill dragster and Tron in one day?!
This motorbike coaster is taking too long, i'm sure people will still go to universal to experience a revolutionary coaster
#8 LB 07049504
LB = Light Bike
07 - 7 rows
04 - 4Gs of force
9504 - 95.04 km/h top speed
I think it’s come out that it’s 4/5/23
it could be 13 as the month after december so maybe there's a chance it's january 21
nvm
God I fucking love Tron
The fact that nobody guessed it right 😵💫😂
Clever.
4/21 TRON IT
Yay!
Daft Punk! 5 points & a Star on the Mystery Dartboard!
Josh finally got bored hogging Tron and decided April 21st is gonna be it.
