News flash: Geese fly through in the spring, a few families stick around and raise their young. Then they fly through in the fall, stay for the day, then leave. It's no big deal. When I get my property, I'll take all the geese I can get! On my land they can stay and live comfortably!

Wow! We have Canadian geese that stop over on their migration twice a year, coming and going, northern middle Tennessee....rural. Their numbers have decreased significantly in the past 10 years since we've been here. They are magnificent creatures....I always pray for them going overhead....they are on a mission, and work together beautifully, taking turns to be the lead goose in the formation and honking each other along. They moved to the lake and put up a 3 million dollar mansion with a golf course that used to be a field where the geese used to do their nesting, and want those pesky geese are pooping on golf green!
"If you have a problem with Canadian geese then you have .. them messing up your property." Fixed that for ya. Can/may I capture and a few and send them to you?
It is ridiculous to simply kill a food source. They are beautiful, and every part of them can be used, even their poop. Something like this was done in Southern Wisconsin. I also cannot believe they are shooting swans and doing it where houses are so close!
With all the starving people in our country can't we find away to feed the homeless with the overpopulation of geese. I would never be able to harm any animal myself, but I understand about over population and being hungry. I once lived on Buckeye Lake in Ohio and during the summer hundreds of geese made it impossible to walk on the beach and swim in the water. 😢
I wish our city in Colorado would get rid of the Canadian Geese here. In the winter they come into towns and leave their feces all over the sidewalks and in our parks. It's disgusting. I'm afraid of an e coli outbreak here. Many years ago some animal lovers thought it was a good idea to raise baby geese here and they assumed they would fly south for the winter and then come back in the summer but oh no they didn't go south because they were unnaturally raised here. They can scratch thru the snow here enough to get food.
Definitely and unfortunately an issue that needs to be addressed. Think they should be donated to a food bank. Thats a lot of goose sausage going to waste.
These are migratory birds people. If you relocate or eliminate them but still have attractive resources for them, guess what... more show up next week. Numbers can be influenced by hunting seasons and bag limits. But if you live in a migratory flyway and have resources, they depend on you gonna have to learn to co-exist with nature.
I live in a town with a large goose population, they will attack you, hissing with wings extended, especialy if you get near their nest, so mush for oiling eggs.
Because there are millions of them go to upstate NY in the fall and just watch the size and countless flocks that fly over all day and night headed south and then repeats when returning in the spring
You can’t even go to church just cause there’s so much duck waste. All over the sidewalks, the grass.. I have to carry my service animal so that she won’t walk the waist of these ducks
