I too grew up watching Merse ,Rocky,Thomas ,Smith and all those from87 on wards brings back good memories i would love to have seen a GG side against AW sides what a match that would have been Merse was a Legend on the field
i have to say i agree with G4eva, that was the team that i spent my formative years supporting, heros all, but I think technically Wengers sides would have the edge, if they were all in their prime though, Id pay any amount to watch that match, would be momumental.
Even now, I still don't understand why Wenger sold him to boro in 1997, yes we won double the following year, but still think he should never have sold merson...
i think winterburn (Cliche could nip in here too), keown/bould/, adams, and Dixon (Thomas Vermaelen could slot in next to Adams or Keown) were the best back four we have had in recent history, but the Graham was not the best.
