    somethings changed in football you dont see players like this anymore, able to skip past a player, play off the cuff, a touch of magic, nowadays the players seem like they need to be athletes first and foremost and natural talent and flair seems to be coached out of them in favour of over drilled pre determined tactical play

    Merson was the reason i started to support The Arsenal, i was quite surprised how many goals he scored with his left foot, cos he sermed so one sided!

    Brilliant player, but did go stale around 1993 -1996. He was magic from 1988 -1992.

    I always thought he was a lot more dynamic than Le Tissier, brilliant player.
