We invited people to try the new Sony BRAVIA Theatre U neckband speaker with Dolby Atmos for themselves. Watch them react to this unique, personal surround sound experience that makes movies and music feel realer than ever.
Getting one shortly after I installed my Bravia 9 85" TV. I need to try that one out first. Basically just making sure it's working etc. I already know I will like the Bravia 9.
Then I need the personal "sound bar". I can't use big soundbar or 7.1 atmos system etc. So this will do. Hopefully the bass is enough to at least feel "warm" and "full' in sound. Not expecting any thump with it. But I hope for good Atmos rendition with the Bravia 9 TV and 360 spatial surround.

Hey, I just have one question, Do I need to have a Bravia Tv to get the best out of the product ? I really want one but don’t have a Sony TV (can’t afford them lol) but I do have a decent smart TV, please let me know if its possible use the full features with other TVs. looking forward to your response.

Hey, this depends on how loud you are playing them, and it is often about as loud as a moderate whisper. However, that's not always the case.^Maryam
I have the previous generation product SONY SRS-N7. I will say, the volume for you to enjoy a good movie in living room, others can still hear the sound with door openned, although it may be an acceptable noise. If the door is shut, it will definitely be fine. For a person next to you within line of sight, he/she can definitely hear the sound. It's just speakers on your shoulder, don't expect it to be real "personal".
I have a 2017 bravia TV xe90 is the theatre u compatible?

Are these compatible with an Xbox series X? If so how do they connect.
Also I have a Sony Bravia tv how do they connect to that?
I suffer from tinnitus and will be a cost effective way to overcome the uncomfortable feeling I get from Xbox Dolby Atmos headphones.

Hi there, The Theatre U gets connected through Bluetooth, so if the Xbox supports Bluetooth with A2DP profile, you can connect it to it, but if it doesn't the connection won't be possible as the neckband doesn't support wired connection. Same goes for your Bravia TV, if the TV supports A2DP Bluetooth profile, it should work fine with the neckband, you can find more info here: cutt.ly/NeknnYkG ^Omnia

I have found out that my Xbox doesn’t support A2DP Bluetooth.
However my Sony tv does and it supports Dolby Atmos too! My question is now… will I be able to play my Xbox in Dolby Atmos if I connect the neckband to the tv instead of my Xbox, will the sound travel from my Xbox which has Dolby Atmos through my tv which also has Dolby Atmos to the neckband?

Hi there, Dolby Atmos needs HDMI connection to be obtained, as it doesn't transfer through Bluetooth, however, could you provide us with the model of your TV to be able to confirm?^Omnia

My xbox is a series X.
Please can you explain how I can get Dolby Atmos from my Xbox with this Neckband specifically for my Xbox given that the Xbox is not Bluetooth compatible. I.e the tv is Bluetooth compatible and my Xbox series X has Dolby Atmos capability.
If I can not get Dolby Atmos through this system and will not connect via blue tooth to my Xbox how does the tv know how convert the sound from my Xbox to Dolby Atmos using this neckband?
Also what kind of sound quality can I get? My Xbox is currently connected via HDMI to my Sony tv through the eARC input hdmi. Although currently I am using Xbox headset from which I get Dolby Atmos and DTS but due to some tinnitus it’s quite irritating when my ears are covered with the headphones hence am looking to get this neck band which I think would be more comfortable.
I am guessing I can get Dolby Dolby Atmos from my tv to this neckband as it is Bluetooth compatibility.
Hey, After checking it for you, we can confirm that Dolby Atmos can only be obtained via the HDMI connection with the EARC port but not through the Bluetooth connection as it is TV related restriction, and you can know more about it here: cutt.ly/1ek9BG7e ^Michael
