  • In this episode, the Kawasaki of my local guide Didier, no longer wants to start.. and we are stuck in a remote village that is not reachable by car. The only way to get out of here with the broken motorcycle, is by boat. So we have to get to another tiny village, about 5 kilometers away, that is built right on a sandbank and try to catch a boat at high tide..

She's the first white person the kids have ever seen. According to Noraly, there was once a missionary, but that must have been a long time ago, and their parents or grand parents probably told them about him. Now they get to see Noraly who came with tech that would forever blow their minds. Nice to hear her tell us she sang school songs with them. May they grow up to be engineers who will design better drones and bikes. (it took the entire village to say goodbye to Noraly).

Its one thing to experience what Noraly is doing but its the way she captures, edits, and presents countless outstanding scenes in one video is an artistic masterpiece unmatched by anyone. How she interacts with the locals, kids giving 100% attention following Noraly around, then there is a perfect scene/music coordination which makes tears flow. So many consecutive high impact scenes but the few second shot of the engine starting was particularly intriguing to me. I can say without exaggeration I have never seen anyone put together videos like Noraly. 100 million dollar movie productions can be entertaining but they will NEVER provide the intimacy we see and "feel" in Noraly's videos. Her videos make it seem that way, but I believe a lot of that help is searched out by Noraly, not always just showing up. As when she led the gaggle of kids away from the bikes after changing out of her boots, then came back with a fella that knew about the boats. He likely would have heard of her arrival and searched her out eventually, but she went for him even without knowing the language well. I'm watching for the thorns on the roses before I set my simple summer road-trip tour plans. She knows them well already.

2:51 true. that's the true essence of a real adventure. so i don't think that all goes wrong here. there's no such thing as wrong in an adventure. every good and bad is part of adventure. without that happening to didier bike you'll not find that remote village. if the boat driver didn't got delayed, you won't experience everything you've experience in there. this is a once in a life time experience. and you won't experience all of that if didier bike didn't get broke. so nothing really goes wrong. its all part of the adventure. and look at that, it turns out you're the first tourist ever come to that village. that will go down on history. see? does it look like all goes wrong? no right? because that's the true essence of adventure. :) and we all thank you for that as we also can witness this marvelous adventure. i love it. i love this kind of adventure. an adventure that is not planned. absolutely the best.

The small village on that sandbank was pretty remote and i was wondering if any westerner reached that area. And you've just confirmed how remote it is. Amazing how the things were put together. Without Didier s help things would be a lot worst. Leading to a conclusion that his presence in this expedition was crucial.

    Finally we catched up 😀
We (an elderly Dutch couple) were pointed to your channel by my visiting Canadian nephew. We started looking 30 September last year. We watched one or more episodes per evening from Season 1 all the way up to this episode in season 7. We skipped Netflix, linear TV, so we could see as much as possible episodes. It took us more than 6 months!
We are inspired by your travels, discussing if we should do more travel again, or just watch yours, but mostly we are amazed by your courage, perseverance, your self-directedness (doelgerichtheid), and the optimistic way you tackle every problem, combined with your friendly approach to all people you encounter.
And not to forget, we really, really enjoy the footage and beautiful sceneries you present to us.
Thank you Noraly, for giving us so much.

Other UA-cam channels can't put out near the quality content with a filming and editing team sitting in a comfy climate controlled office with super high speed internet, food, drink, running water, all just a few feet away. Noraly does it in harsh environmental and working conditions after riding all day on brutal tracks and heat. She is Wonder woman!. Peace!

It seems like she has a 6+ week buffer, so she must do a good chunk of episodes and then queue them up to release automatically. Still amazing!
