While looking for the solution to all my suffering on the internet, I've come across and
have resonated with how dopamine influences your motivation to do things in anticipation of a reward. If you've ever felt like your attention is sprinkled all over except on the things that actually are important to you and help you grow then I'd recommend considering some distance from everything to get closer to yourself.

I’m on day 5 of my social media detox, which means no Snapchat and instagram since my addiction has become problematic for me. So far I really have been changing! I’m spending more time reading, thinking, reflecting, and learning. Finished 4 books in the past 2.5 weeks, which is insane. I’m loving being disconnected from the meaningless digital world of likes and followings, and being more connected with my inner self, things, and people that truly matter to me.

I hope to try out something like this. I want to achieve that goal where I go back to focusing on myself like how I used to do back when I was a kid/early teens.
However, my only concern is the "no food" part. I don't know if that means not having any junk food or what.

I don't know how to say this, buy you are one of the most beautiful girls I've ever came across. And trust me, it's not only for your physical appearance (which is obviously fairy-like). But it's mostly your inner glow that makes you stand out. The way you carry yourself, the thoughts you share, the things you do. It all just speaks of a special, talented, intelligent, kind-hearted, loving and loveable person. Thank you for sharing your inner beauty with us. Love you Juss!!

i've been laying down and doing nothing because i have depression and my parents can't understand why am i like this. and social media has been ruining and stressing me out lately, maybe this dopamine detox is a way to go. i would love to take a day off of toxic things and just learn something new about myself, rethink some things and go out into nature. thank you so much for making this video and being so inspiring!

If you have the littlest interest in drawing, do that. Just draw something that comes to your mind and if it's just doodling stuff that doesn't seem to make sense. For me it's the best way to take time off, relax and reflect. It's like meditating or journaling.
(edit: Idk why I said that lol. It's just I can't stay off my phone if I do nothing and that way I still do something, maybe it helps you)

    • @masterhide

When I was 17 I was like that too. Cried a lot at night. Slept all day. I started meditating and that helped a lot. I ended up reading a ton about mindfulness and different Buddhist cultures and it gave me something to focus on. I started changing my life to focus on little aspects of self care (sleeping a regular schedule, eating three healthy meals a day, stretching and jogging.) Eventually I was able to be more aware of myself and help get the reins on my depression. But yes, I probably filled up 10 journal and have a box full of song lyrics and paintings at my parents house still. I hope you find your happiness through creativity and self exploration. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. They wouldn't call it growing pains if it didnt hurt. Xo and it sounds cliche but mental health is a lifetime journey not a destination. Be well.

I feel more clam mind and don't rush for most of the things I used to do. But in second day I failed to do so because I have such personal things happened and it feel very uncomfortable to talk with my friend after that I lost my mind and start using social media. Just snap of what happening in mine but I would definitely corporate it again since I found that my mind need a break. Thanks a lot for your hard work. Keep it up 👍

I'm gonna try this. I think more people are waking up to how much unnecessary noise we fill our minds with everyday with online media. We can thank Covid for some of that realization. I always knew if it weren't for my job, I wouldn't know what else I was doing in life. Since lock-down I've had some what of a taste of what life would be like without the hustle. It's scary, but also mind opening. We can become the better version of ourselves we envision. It's just not going to come as instantly

i had actually never heard of this but i think this would be so good to process all my thought and actually just to finally think all my thoughts? If that makes sense? I can also imagine this being really good to boost creativity. Absolutely loved this video and the calm vibes from it already!! One question out of curiosity that i have: did you notice anything in your dreaming?
