This is 2024!this is awesome! There is nothing like this today this is true talent and original I wonder where these guys are today I am 52 I was a kid when this video came out! I love it bring it Back !
I'm Chinese, and our entertainment in the 90s was skating or dancing in discotheques to woo girls. My mom even refused to let me go home when I came home late. Haha, today’s young people’s entertainment method is to watch mobile phones
At age 11 I was friends with a Puerto Rican kid named Kenny who lived in Ravenwood projects in Queens I met Kenny in church and would go to his apartment on Sundays for the best ham and swiss sandwiches (made by his beautiful grandmother) and to watch TV One Sunday as I'm sitting in the living room Kenny looks out the window and starts yelling for me to come check out his friend. There was a skinny dude about 5'8" in the children's play area with a bandana on, wearing stylish gym clothes and Adidas. He was practicing his dance routines and doing windmills ...it was his friend Corey Montalvo aka ICEY ICE! We went nuts screaming at what we were witnessing. It's as though Superman was outside our window. Corey was the greatest show on earth for us kids After that I decided to be a breakdancer and even tried to join Kenny's crew a year later The next time I saw Corey was I believe in 1985 on TV breakdancing for president Ronald Reagan in his inauguration. He had made it into the NYC BREAKERS. The greatest breakdance crew in history, although Rock Steady Crew was more famous
I'm Chinese, and our entertainment in the 90s was skating or dancing in discotheques to woo girls. My mom even refused to let me go home when I came home late. Haha, and my son’s way of entertainment is looking at his mobile phone
Classic 80's Hip-Hop. This beat is being brought back by a DJ with scratches and perfect timing. No digital loop machines or samplers. OG elements of Hip-Hop!!!
Im a BBOY from CWCB Crew from Chitown met this cats from back in my days and became coo friends for along time the same with Rock Steady Crew and Dynamic Rockers God bless us all Amen
Im 54 started to bboy at age 13 in nyc during this era. The vibe was dope. Trains were bombed lots of clubs all over manhattan. Even though the violence and crime was far worse than now. But we got thru it. Great memories.
i was a b-boy in the uk back in 80's and i remember the first day i nailed the windmill !! still makes me smile such an iconic era..i am 50 yrs now and still get twitchy limbs when i hear the music or see some breakin...Best era ever
Yep born in London 71-and can still remember linking 5-6 windmills on concrete, took alot of pain and determination to get there so I'll never forget,I'm 52 now and can still string a few together, maybe🤔
@@layditms2 West Kensington,Latimer road in Ladbrook Grove was a nucleus of HipHop in England, But Glasgow has some of the best UK Breakdancers I've seen Check out Glasgow b- boys at the plaza You won't see flyers like it so fast
This is awesome, makes me real nostalgic. When this music and breakdancing were a thing in the early 1980s, I was still in elementary school. On the weekends or late afternoon or early evenings on the weekdays, older kids or young adults would gather at our school's playground. Break out the boomboxes, flattened out cardboard boxes, and the guys would just be there dancing off. I used to love watching them. The moves, the handoffs, the posing LOL I still love it!
when this show "Graffiti Rock" aired, there was a MC's battled - Run DMC and Cool Moe D. Why didn't the breakers battle? If the Rock Steady Crew was on here, we could have gotten another chapter of "Beat Street". For what it was worth this was beautiful.
NYCB were the best. Pioneers of the dance. Ultimate Respect for Action, Powerful Pexter, Mr. Wave, Flip Rock, Kid Nice, Glide Master (RIP), Lil' Lep, and Icy Ice.
I remember watching this late at night in 1983 or so. Got us breaking out the cardboard in Miami. We couldn't believe the realness of it. Great memories
We in Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 back then had this on vhs and beta as a tutorial....and we bite all the moves ...this brought back real fond memories bro thanks 😂💯💯🔥🔥
This is dope! Icy ice went to my high school in Seattle. Cool ass dude! He not only could break like a bad ass, I remember in weight training class he'd do upside down push ups! Made me jealous but he's so cool it didn't matter. Glad I stumbled upon this video!
Many crazy ass moves and combos have been created since then but the standard shown here is still top notch and clean as hell! The Wave’s speed and dexterity and smoothness is still paralleled here.
the 2024 paris Olympic brought me here, i saw in the for the first never ever seen breaking Until the Olympic in Paris, and i am in love now. TRue the old breaking looks way better than the new generation
This has be back in early 1980's they gave birth to a culture worldwide.. Hip is the Knowledge and Hop. Was the Movement from a Microphone Commander ( mc )
Watching this at noon before lunch Saturday, November 16, 2024 brings back memories that I don’t know… actually that’s not true the first time I did breakdance I was 12 years old it was 1983.
A D B-Boying is constantly evolving and B-Boys are getting better and better with each generation. It started in the early 1970s with basic moves. Backspins back then was the TOP move. By the early to mid 80s, the windmill became the top move. Today, I guess it would be “flares” maybe?
Still dope in 2022! God bless all BBoys from the 80s generation! 80s generation= True pioneers of music, dance and soul.
the 80"s will forever be the hallmark of true original breakers. Like kool herc creating the cutting breaks.

This is … I don’t have words to describe this incredible performance - blast from the past got me giggling and jumping. 👉
The fact that the beat is looped changed everything.
The big composition, but basic endless groove and creativity.
Sequencer/Sampler/Drum machines was also a big step, instead of manually looping vinyls

Going on 2024 and still banging this!! 🔥🔥
These dudes were the coldest. I miss those days! 80’s forever

Outstanding
Growing up in San Antonio we wanted to wear the track suits when we danced outside the mall but it was like 102 degrees lol
