You make great videos. But I think it is absolutely impossible to fully prepare for World War III. Greetings from Norway, where in the event of a crisis we must be able to carry 40 to 50 kilos of survival equipment.
I am Belgian. I am 57 so not so fysical like I used to be. I made a bug out cart. 2 front wheels from an old mountain bike..... And now I can carry or draw my cart toghetter with a backpack with months of food and all the stuff to defend or survive. And I camouflaged it so it blends in very good.
Jason, excellent video..I really like your ride. I'm getting a bit long in the tooth to be riding dirt bikes but if I use it like a trail bike and take it slow I think this would work..67 tomorrow with bad knees and a messed up lower spine.. what size is that bike cc wise? Stay safe out there
Iff u have a big enough rucksack just loosen the straps a bit so still on shoulders but rucksack bottom is sat on seat. That way when u ride u don't feel the weight. That's what I did once and worked quite well. But that was riding on road with my neices Christmas presents, not offroading like u did in video. Great video j3 respect from 🇬🇧
white [bike] is right... just keep a few paint cans on the side for a quick makeover if SHTF... it doesn't need to be perfect...nothing ever is... [maybe a more quiet silencer too? ]...
Tents help keep bugs off of you, and provide shelter from the elements. They also allow you to keep valuable items such as firearms more secure from potential predators.
Mount it like a horse... left foot on left peg. Hold bars squeeze front brake stand and swing right leg over to right peg. Once stable both feet on ground raise kickstand.. start.. ride. Hope that tecnique helps👍👍
Having obtained the age of 66, it would look really strange if I showed up at the local Honda dealer to buy one of these (XR650L) - it doesn't stop me from thinking about it, though. Excellent video and ideas.
I'm 67 tomorrow with bad knees and back and I'm thinking about it..not like motocross. More like trail rides..let's do it.. The silver wolves ride again. 😂😂😂
@@SurvivalDispatch You know, i am motorcycling from 40 years now, and the safety is something than i have test by the accidents than i have had. Keep safe.
Be safe and wer your gear and helmet to and on corporals Corner to morning he was saying one of the Canadian bushcraft survival was in a motorcycle accident
If you had to travel a long distance. You can buy a motorcycle carrier for your vehicle. While traveling if you could go no farther in your vehicle. Plan on abandoning the vehicle and use the motorcycle to get you the rest of the way. You can buy roto paks for extra fuel for more distance. There are riding trails all over the country .
Any gas engine can run on alcohol . Must have a designated carb , unless you have a injected and computer control. Research for your application. Alcohol can be made anywhere 😊
1. Get rid of the white on the bike. 2. Get 2 - 10'x10' 3-D Mil. Camo Netting. You'll disappear quickly. 3. Adapt the bike to run on propane. Gives you an alternative fuel for it to run. 4. Put a "silencer" on that exhaust so you can run stealthier.
Sir, 1. he mentioned that he realized it's white at the moment for safety reasons. 2. I agree with the camo-netting. 3. That has to be the weirdest thing I heard of ....propane? 4. The factory exhaust is perfect. You have to have the perfect amount of back pressure. So adding to will destroy the upper end.
Well depending on where your bugging out to for your destination or along the way there not might not be any trees so having a small tent as a backup to get you out of the weather would be perfect thing for your bike to carry
Unfortunately dirt bikes are highly restricted on what trails you're allowed to use them on around here, doesn't matter in a grid down situation as much but for such an expensive machine that I'd want to ride frequently for leisure as well, I'd probably get something that's actually allowed to go most places. State and county laws are different for everyone it's just what I'm dealt here. It's a great concept though I've been looking into an E bike those are at least legal to use on our bike paths. With a permit. And they stay under 20 mph. And not allowed on mountain bike trails. Actually a regular cheap ol mountain bike is probably the way to go here 😂. Love your content!
i carry only a .5L fuel bottle on my daily scooter since its EFI and its 69km/L at best consumption and 53km/L at worst with a 4.2L tank and avg daily travel of 60km
The bike setup is coming along nicely, are you planning on adding additional lighting? I run some led off-road lights on my DR350 that were cheap and are super bright. Triggered off my high beams and an override perch mounted push button switch that keeps the bars from getting cluttered. Also, are you planning on changing the color. It's pretty bright...
What about a camo/earth tone bike with removable/obscure-able reflectors/high-vis panels/strips? I've been thinking about this for an e-bike. Panels or reflective strips that fold back on themselves and velcro to hide the reflective part.
I have a pedal tricycle with a seven speed and mountain bike tires. I keep my backpack in the basket. Soon I'm getting a electric motor. With a small power bank and folding solar panel I'll have unlimited range.
I like the bike’s evolution. You don’t need extra gear to make it disappear in the woods. The GI poncho is a great start since you already have it. Plenty of thick bushes to use or leafy branches to hide in. People already have trouble seeing it in regular traffic. Do you already have a Tire Repair Kit or are the tires Slimed?

We all die. Enjoy life while you can.

Good tip!
Whose first 🥇 me
Winner!
Excellent video and information. Also just paint the bike camouflage.
He covered that in a previous video. He wants it to be high viz for now so that others can see him easily to prevent accidents.

They might have 400, 250 or 125. Dual sport bikes
Come on! 66. You’re not old yet.
What about 67, LOL!

The silver wolves ride again. 😂😂😂
Heaps of guys our age are riding all sorts of bikes, including xr650s. I’m currently using a CB500x and enjoying all sorts of roads and terrain.
You shall be better to wear a pair of gloves and a jacket.
Good call.
@@SurvivalDispatch You know, i am motorcycling from 40 years now, and the safety is something than i have test by the accidents than i have had. Keep safe.
I would prefer a side by side bcuz there very common around here & people outfit them 4 all kinds of things
They are pretty great machines.

Have you heard of the sherpa x trailers. Check them out. They are pretty slick.

Yes we all love are TOYS no matter what excuse we use
Ha!
That bike is not stealthy its noisy...
As far as motorcycles go, it is pretty dang quiet. The sound does not travel far.
Get a 10x10 camo net. You’ll disappear your gear.
Good idea!
cover the bike in a bit of that camo webbing mesh netting and save the poncho for you
Smart!
Get gilly suits for you AND the bike.
Cool deal. I’m just getting into hammock camping. Just meaning purchased my first one.
Have fun!
Loving thease videos you should make a full play list on it. I'm working on a similar bike build.

gaskets and hoses that can handle gasoline cannot always handle alcohol.
I like tents because I hate bugs, unless sautéd over a well concealed fire.

So no food, no water? What’s the plan, UberEats?
I didn’t find it necessary on the 2 mile ride I did for this video.
I’ve heard mosquitoes prefer people with certain blood types. So people with those blood types are the same people that want to have a tent. 😂
I have a hammock that I've yet used which has a mosquito net built into it.
I just need to lose weight.
How cool how God rocks B
I’m envious of your setup.
Thanks!!
I want to get a crew side by side and I had a dirt bike and a Harley Davidson
Is this allowed where you live to camp like this?
If only the bike could be made a bit quieter
Stock muffler is really quiet - and most people keep the OEM muffler.
@@KeepItSimpleSailor , I mean whisper quiet. 😁
Love it!
Definitely it is a great idea if you’re single yes stay safe outdoors Jason

Love the sound of rain on a tarp.. So soothing.. For some reason I feel safer as well because I know everything is bedded down

for the summer even a hammock is too much... so my pick is a plain net hammock, inside a mosquito net [for a hammoc]... I need that little breeze...
Great video.....but klr650 is a W bike and the G.O.A.T
Awesome bike, cool setup.
Check out wingman of the road motorcycle tents see ya on the next one
Great video brother. The set up looks good to me.
Great stuff as usual Jason! Keep up the good work and looking forward to some Bad Idea rides...
Can't wait!
Add a second poncho so you can use two to cover the bike
You need to rattlecan that white bike bud
Still no windshield
Stelth ?
Perfect!
What bike is that?
Honda XR650L
In a pinch you can carry extra gas in two liter pop bottles. You can also store extra oil in them. They are fairly durable.
Been there!
They sell a Kickstart for your model of bike. Get one
Good call!!
