If I am not mistaken NEC and NFPA standards dictate common earthing not AC and DC earth separate. In case of Lightning discharge due to different potential gradient on ground, different earthing may result equipment damage or fire. What reason NEPRA give to have them separated. Please Explain. Now you are saying BS also follow a common earthing.
Does the "width or breath" of the "pit hole" makes any difference to the final achievable earthing values ? I saw some earth pits of 50mm (done by an earth auger) with 12.2mm dia electrode. Is that correct to do like this ?
the pit civil work has no correlation with pit resistance value - its main aim is to protect the joint between the electrode & earth strip from physical hit , and could be easily maintained to check earth value , or allowing water to enter the pit.
hi sir,i have one question regarding the conductor sizing in the video @7:30mnts you are saying about the short circuit current of different material for 1s & 3s. in a pv system we dont have any safety or cb which will disconnect the short circuited strings from the start point of cable from string then if short circuit happen the current will flow for more than hours till we will open the MC4 of faulty string, in this case our selected conductor will overheat and burnt so kindly guide how we can select proper conductor size. sir 1s and 3s material current capacities for substation system where we have proper protection system which can detect the fault current and disconnect the faulty line from system.
Hi Asif , here the value t is the operating time of the device getting disconnected due to insulation fault , which is the Inverter , Whenever the dc cable gets an insulation fault the inverter trips automatically and the string becomes an open circuit in a fraction of seconds

Current Density At The Surface of Earth Electrode (As per IS 3043) Calculation Max. allowable current density I = 7.57×1000/(√ρxt), A/m2 Max. current dissipated by one Earthing Pipe = Current Density x Surface area of electrode Number of earthing pipe required = Fault Current / Max.current dissipated by one earthing pipe. In addition to this I request you to cover the following points if you are making any further video 1. Types of earthing electrodes used & Changes in the formula ( pipe/rod etc) 2. The video covers earthing strip current rating variation with material. Is there similar case with earthing electrode(GI/ Cu) too ? 3. Other Common Sizes of Earthing strip used if 25* 3 fails ? Should we use 25* 6 or any other size ? 4. Also plz cover AC Earthing

A proper home work sir. It is trouble some in some houses to find the proper place for 3 earthing,what to do in this case . On road side ,narrow lane,pipe line gas line ,cables drainage, My question is either to install system or nor and either to do one earthing .As I know distance from wall is 1m please share as your advice commercial and as technical.
See if you don't have space for multiple earthing for domestic purpose , then do one earthing only 4m deep using earthing chemical compound , and try achieving 3ohms resistance. For commercial space is never a issue because they need to follow DISCOM guidelines in order to get approval.

How do you maintenance the earth resistance value in desert area & what earth pit resistance value you have maintained in your solar plant?
In desert area the depth goes to 15- 20 feet , using bentonite + chemical to get the lower vslue

In case of string inverters, fault current is limited to Isc of strings paralleled on a single MPPT. Correct me if I'm wrong.
