I should have mentioned - I have a family of 6 so I’m constantly doing loads. I’ve always done laundry every single day, otherwise I get backed up and that was one of my concerns! (I always had two loads going at once, one in wash & one in dryer) I haven’t had one problem of getting backed up with laundry with this machine! It’s SO nice to stick your clothes in once and they are ready to be put away!👌🏻
It sounds like you have room for two identical machines set side by side now and can get twice as much done with half of the effort.
@@LlyleHunter I'm pondering that idea...but not sure how the app would handle that... Also does the app handle multiple users @ashleyhuze ? Also wondering the power requirements...
CURIOUS ABOUT THE ELECTRIC BILL USAGE
@jackskillet when I read their information on their website it uses less electric than a standard electric dryer. Also they don't make a gas unit.
@@LlyleHunter Main problem with 2 units is water discharge. You would have to have a new standpipe run with its own vent and be sure it feeds to a 3" line or better...
An old timer here... Hate to break this to everyone, but washer/dryer combos (240v) were available in the mid to late 50’s. They were ventless for renters of apartments where the landlord forbid having 4" vent holes drilled thru the outside wall, also in high rise apt buildings where venting thru outside walls was impossible. The downside of these ventless units was a galvanized sheet metal condenser unit where air & moisture passed thru an assembly of tubes to allow a heat exchanger to condense and collect the water in a pan beneath for disposal. If the tubes were not cleaned out frequently with a special long bristle brush, lint that got thru the lint trap would plug up the tubes and eventually the lint would build up inside the bottom of the entire unit. Once the accumulated lint came in contact with the dryer heating element, it would catch on fire. I believe some deaths resulted from those fires, so the design was eventually discontinued. Moreover, the machines were so heavy they vibrated badly during the spin cycle and needed shock absorbers to dampen the vibration. The door seal material (rubber) also degraded over time because rubber seals were not very far advanced in that era, and the detergent degraded the rubber, causing leaks around the door. So the idea of washer/dryers being mated is NOT new. Hopefully the original issues have been solved. I was an appliance serviceman in the early to mid 70's and encountered one of these units in a customer's home. I found the inside filled with 2" of lint on the bottom inside and was surprised the unit hadn't caught fire because some of the lint near the heating element had obviously been singed. So I suggest making very sure to clean the lint filter after every washload and have a serviceman check the inside of the unit periodically to insure that if lint gets thru the lint filter. it does not accumulate inside the machine that might potentially cause a fire.
I’ve had mine a few weeks now. Absolutely love it! I’m a single guy and a very busy multiple business owner, so the ability to throw a load in as I’m leaving in the morning and have it done and dry when I get home has been a game changer.
I can relate.
Yes, GOD FORBID you had to take 45 seconds when you got home to swap it to the dryer. And be DONE 45 minutes after getting home.
YOU. GOT. ROBBED, SUCKER!!!!

Amazing praise from this owner. "this is the best purchase I've ever made." "I love this machine, I don't know how I lived without this machine." "it just makes life easier". GE Profile knocked it out of the park 👏
Hooked up mine yesterday. Don't forget to check with your electricity provider, here in Illinois I'll get up to a $240 rebate for buying this type of unit.
I am also in Illinois, How can I get the rebate, could you please help me? Thank you
@@MrMartinconco How was the process for your rebate?
Got $100.00 for mine in Idaho!
Is the rebate over
Got ours today from a Best Buy outlet store. Out the door with taxes was $860! It was a floor model, not a return refurbish. We are excited and hopeful that it will be amazing! Only surprise so far is how heavy it is, which makes sense since it has all the parts for a washer and dryer. Took three of us to get it off the truck.
Gl. My floor model purchases have been quite challenging.
little more than that Im sure lol
@@tw4328 I've never had luck with floor models so for me to buy one if have to get it super cheap. I bought this from Costco about two weeks ago and it's still not here nor has anyone contacted me.
860? Im seeing almost 3k.
Dear Mrs. Hughes. What a wonderful review of this product! You were both articulate and thorough. You helped a guy who does not do the family laundry to appreciate how much time and effort this product could save you. We don't put the washed loads in the dryer fast enough. We always worry that we are putting in too much detergent etc. What a giant step forward in doing the laundary. Thanks for sharing this review.
Thank you for posting this! I'm seriously considering purchasing one and I appreciate your honest opinion.
I’m so happy you did this review, thank you!! I was worried about the dry cycle being too long. I think I will start doing price comparisons. Thanks so much!
OMG.... what a great and comprehensive review! I use to have a front loading washer, and ... yes, I did have the issue when washing clothes, towels, etc... in which they would have that moldy type of smell, even after everything was dried in the dryer. So, I was very happy when you mentioned that with this unit, the moldy smelling issue does not happen because of the fact that the drying cycle dries out all the areas inside of the unit, therefore greatly reducing or eliminating the moldy smell issue to ever happen. :-) Great tip also, on doing longer loads at night before you go to bed. So, I'm going to seriously think about getting this unit "after" my current washer and dryer bite the dust. Thanks again Ashley for the incredible video!!! Happy holidays to you and your family!!! ☺😘👍
Thank you for posting this! I am looking at this model because I want a washer/dryer in my kitchen. This would fit perfectly. This video was a big help.
That was an awesome review , you covered all the important parts very well.
I will definitely consider this machine when the time comes. Great job..
We bought ours a week ago, best deal was Costco. :)
Love! Love! Love it!! Things I love most:
* Saves time.
* Energy efficient and less detergent due to the smart dispense technology = $ saved
* Gentler on clothes
* Less wrinkles
* Can start a load before I go to bed and everything is ready to put away by morning.
THREE HOURS to do ONE load of laundry? Yeah, THAT’s a REAL time-saver…….DUMBA$$!!!!
Hi Ashly, I don't see it in Costco online yet. Did you get it from your local warehouse?
I also just ordered from Costco online. They included everything in the price! Sale goes through July 12.
Unfortunately I bought a new Maytag washer 6 months ago on the Costco website before knowing of this machine.
Out of curiosity what was the Costco price? It wont let me view it without a membership and the closest one is out of state for me.
Thank you so much for your review. It is really great to see that this machine makes sense. You are awesome.
Loved your review. Just saw this at Home Depot and am now obsessed. Will be ordering this very soon.
I just bought one of the GE units. They are wonderful. I love it. I put in a load before I go to work and come home to clean dry clothes.
How is it now ? I have read after a few months the clothes start to be be damp at the end
great details shared, wash only, dryer sheets added, 10 min pause after wash. You obviously have used it. Thank you so much.👍
Yeah, I actually appreciated a review that showed some different cycle times and didn't feel like it was reading off a spec sheet.
I wish I knew this product was coming out last year before I bought a new GE profile washer and dryer. They work great I just love the convenience of a all in one unit with no dryer vent. I do have a wash and dry cycle on my current washer although it is intended for when there are just a couple items to wash. You're on the leading edge for sure!
Thank you…great review. I’ll be getting mine at the end of August, so it was nice to hear your positive review. I’m looking forward to getting it! I think it would be a good choice for a single person too.
I knew they had smaller versions for RV’s or mobile homes but never knew about the large machine for homes…may be my next purchase when this set I have is done…Good information shared!! Thx 👍💕🇺🇸🙏😊🐾
What’s your experience with the one in rvs do they last ? Thinking of getting one but reluctant.
Great review. I hadn’t thought of buying two of these before. I think I will consider doing that. My machines cover laundry for 7 people so it is really easy to get buried in laundry. Having a pair of these would help a ton.
Just received mine today and frankly love the machine.
Thanks for the post
What a great review! Thank you. Just in time for us. GE is doing good.
Sears/Kenmore made an all in one back in the 1960's. I wouldn't mind having one in my laundry/pantry to free up more space!
Now they need to make one that folds the cloths too. That's my least favorite part...💜
Me too. Thats why I hang everything but socks and undies.
😂😂😂
Our laundry always gets stuck between laundry room and bedrooms. This w/d could probably go in the closet
I've been saying that for years!!
There is a machine that folds clothes for you, it's just stupid expensive
Thank you so much for this review!! I was just sitting here putting in some resumes and this popped into my head and I had to look it up. This will definitely be my next dream purchase as I too forget to change the loads in time. No more having to run home and change the loads. Not to mention all of the space it will save! I have had great experiences purchasing items from best buy. Excellent customer service both in store and over the phone.
We have had the profile one for two weeks now, it has been great no complaints at all, clothes are clean, smell good, they’re dry wife is absolutely happy we have three in the family so there are no problems there.
Such a good point about the drum being dry at the end. I’ve taken to leaving my water door open all the time to prevent mold, but it gets in the way and is more susceptible to damage that way. Thank you for this review!
They have had those in Europe for many many years. I had one 20 years ago when I lived in England and I absolutely hated it and my reason for hating it is that you can only do one thing at a time so everything takes twice as long. With a separate washer and dryer you can have a load in the washer and one in the dryer and when the dryer is done, you can move right to the washer and put it in the dryer and dump another load in the washer. So over the course of two hour you can wash three loads of laundry. That isn’t the case with the single unit. The only benefit to the single unit is if you don’t have space.
I had one in Denmark in 2008. I wasn't a fan of our washer/dryer combo, either. Lack of space in an apartment was the only benefit to having it.
My 24 old Maytag Neptune stacking unit finally gave out and I was heartbroken because it had a gas dryer. I had heard about this new unit and was skeptical because it wasn't gas, and even more skeptical because it only needed 120v. I watched multiple videos on this, then last Weds was at a major retailer. When walking through the appliance section of the store, I came across an unpriced that had a small dent in the top. The store was offering $1000 off promotional and when I asked what the price of damaged unit was, they told me 50% off to get it off the floor. I ended up buying the unit for $1000 which is almost 2/3 off of the suggested retail. They are delivering it Tuesday, hauling away the old unit for $50 and delivering the new one. I'm very exciting about using it. Thanks for your video.
Thank you! you have answered many questions I had that were not answered by the company's videos.
Thanks for explaining I just got mine yesterday now I have more extra room in my laundry 🧺 😊
Just got this on sale and installed. No compromises my clothes were dry. Plus I have more space in my laundry area.
They didn't have that slightly damp feel like some people mention? Felt like it pulled straight from a regular dryer?
Great review! I'm definitely interested in this! I live in a multi-level condo unit and it's ~$400/year for vent cleaning since my dryer vent is on the roof. That savings alone is great. I also have a laundry closet, not room...so if I can have one machine rather than two, I can add shelving and increase my storage space. So many benefits to this machine! I think I'll give it a little more time to see more reviews & for cost to come down some, but I've got it in my Best Buy saved list.
Same here! I can’t even get anyone to come out for less than $400 and most balk at the steep roof. The duct going up two stories is awful! I was contemplating expanding the laundry a few feet into a bedroom just to move the vent to the exterior wall. I ordered this machine after very little deliberation- it’s cheaper than duct cleaning year after year or expanding the laundry closet and now I’ll have room to install a laundry sink.
Of the reviews I’ve seen, this one addressed my concerns: adjustable soap amount, the moldy drum smell, humidity, length of cycle. Now I can add: savings on duct cleaning 🤗
You can add another lint trap after the exhaust.
Ouch that’s highway robbery at 400! I do mine myself quarterly. You don’t even have to clean from the top just check if it’s clogged and pull anything out by hand. Whoever is running that business is making a killing.
Great review!!! Full of great info. Thanks so much. 😊
Thank you ❤you did a great job demonstrating/explaining that. I appreciate it
Very nice unit. Seems to be the most efficient way to do laundry and safe space. I'm just 2 years into my current set, so by the time I need to replace them this tech should be more mainstream and improved upon. Thanks for the review. 👍
this tech has been around for decades already...
@@jacobjones6851 Yes, I didn't realize or ever remember seeing combo units like this. But you are right, as the first combo unit was invented and put on the market by Bendix Home Appliances in 1953. 👍
I love this unit! I have a small house and this unit was a perfect fit & operates flawlessly! Also love the 110v heat pump, much more efficient than a 220v dryer! 3:48
That is important! This means I can have one in my apartment! No more gross laundrymat st 20$ every laundry day.
First time seeing this. Looks like a great machine. Thanks for the honest review. Definitely looking into getting one.
Your nails look amazing! Oh the washer/dryer is nice too😊
Thank you for sharing, because I just saw the machine, I was wondering how they would work, because I have the stackable ones.
I ordered one from home Depot during their July 4th sale. Since I am outfitting my whole cabin with all appliances I ended up getting it for $1750. There is an added energy efficiency in that it does not take your heated or cooled air from your home and exhausted outside.
Where does the hot air go?
@@Cons2911 Into your house or laundry space. It has to go somewhere and temps on the unit have read 110 degrees, so there is HOT air.
@@fyoukungflu5881 so I’m guessing ventless is the way to go if you live in a condo? Small space and I don’t really have access to the window (to vent) unless I want my dryer inside the bedroom
@@Cons2911It is a heat pump, it blows out both cool and warm air that should relatively cancel each other out. It doesn't generate its own heat, it just transfers it to the clothes from the ambient home temp
I just purchased mine running a test load through. i am glad i found your video
It’s great to hear from a trust user. Thank you for the video.
Love heat pump dryers! We have a standalone Whirlpool unit and it has noticeably lowered our power bill. Not only is it more efficient to move heat from the room into the clothes instead of making new heat (from electricity or gas), but also you are not pumping the conditioned air from inside the house to the outside through the vent, wasting your A/C or heat. I've had very few things that don't dry just as easily in the heat pump dryer as a traditional one. Every so often something bulky will take a few extra minutes to dry, but it's worth it for the cost savings, the environmental benefit, and the fact that it is not as hard on the clothes.
is it cheaper then using gas?
@@randomrazr The heat pump will be more efficient than gas but it's hard to say if it's cheaper without knowing your specific situation - your price of gas vs. electricity, source of gas (NG or propane), whether you have gas today and would need to add an outlet for electric, also how much of the year you heat or cool your house where the ventless aspect of a heat pump dryer also contributes.
Thanks for this review. I was able to purchase mine from Home Depot at 1700$ as they allowed us to stack the 4th of July discount and a military discount! It arrives in a few days so I'm looking forward to it arriving!
This machine is life 😊❤looks you got new life I absolutely recommend it guys
This waw a fantastic review video and exactly what I was looking for! Thanks so much!
2in1 things always have a higher failure rate. I hope this thing lasts without problems for a few years. 👍👍
We’ve had these in Asia for a while now.
Thanks to GE and Midea giving birth to that machine for western market.
Funny how Americans react to heat pump combo washer/dryers. 😂
Thanks for the honest review, would definitely like to hear long term reviews in the future.
These units are what are known as heat pump units and that is why it’s so large at the top. It all dries the clothes very differently using a different technology. I would be curious to see what the long term reliability is since the lint cleaner is a crucial part of these types of machines.
Thank you. I have been interested in one of these ever since I saw them in Europe years ago.
Do the clothes come out actually dry, or a little damped? I had an all in one machine in a place I stayed at, and the clothes never fully dried, no matter how much more drying I set it.
Great video! Thanks!
I was 15 when my mother remarried and we moved into my new stepfather's home. He had a washer/dryer unit, in 1965! It was several years old already and lasted a few more years before they moved house. So.. not a new concept, but certainly a LOT more efficient now than that 60's model.
When I rented a flat to start at Berkeley in the early 70’s, the previous tenants offered to sell and leave their one piece W/D. I declined because it was in a creepy outside shed and also because I had never heard of such a strange contraption!
It’s a guarantee non of these will lasts as long as yours.
It has a heatpump, not electric grid heaters.
There is an intentional effort to not be cost effective and efficient.
@@SK-ki1te everything in Berkeley is a major creepy contraption of mind warping now.

Thanks for this review! My husband bought one for me today and it will be delivered this friday. When his brother built this house for their mother, he only made space for a washer and she dried her clothes on a a clothesline so I told him about these and he was hesitant since he didnt know these even existed but now, even he is excited after watching your vid! Thanks again!❤
Are you liking it so far? My husband offered to buy me one if I think I’ll like it since our mudroom is tight on space
It’s crazy these aren’t more popular, in Japan pretty much all washing machines are dryers too due to limited space (homes and apartments are generally smaller so makes sense).
Thank you for taking the time to do this. We are interested and looking to buy two expedite our laundry.
I lived in france in 91 and 92 . They only had these all in one washer and dryers. Thats 30 years ago. I cant believe we finally got them here. Ive been waiting!!!!
This is the laundry of the future!!!
IT REALLY IS!! SO so cool!! 🙌🏻
just the review I needed! try to decide which way to go.
Can’t wait to buy one I have a small area and had to remove base boards to make the other units fit
Perfect for tiny homes - I’m sold!
I had an apartment model all in one from GE. I did love it. It was 120v ventless so it took forever to dry. The only thing I didn’t like in the long run was if you don’t keep it super clean lint would stick to the rubber around the door and act like sand paper putting holes in my socks and t-shirts.
That will be exactly the same experience with this model except people think it's ok for towels to take 3 hours now so they cheer with glee like morons that this is acceptable as they consume five times the energy of a model from twenty years ago.
@@Scott-dn1bk use the sun it dry faster these days
@@Scott-dn1bk Hi, can you share your data as to the 5x the energy of a 20 year old model? Thank you
@@JudiRhodes-vk5ru Scott's an imbecile who doesn't understand the difference between condensing dryers (which use tons of water to cool a heat exchanger to produce heat by moving energy) vs a heat pump (which moves energy via refrigerant.

I just got mine. I have a family of 7. Doing my 1st load now. Can’t wait to see how it works
Thanks for the review, I am replacing my washer now (it died.) So I saw this unit on display at a local appliance store. I was intrigued, but very hesitant because it is so new. I appreciate your comments. Have you used the "more water" option?? And are you happy with how dry your items are when the dry cycle is done?? Thanks again for taking the time to make this video and post it for us
It is not new at all.. this is all the UK has
These are popular overseas. So happy the US is getting on board.
They have had these in the USA but not as nice as this one. The reason Europe and others have them is they have lots a smaller homes just like smaller cars because some roads need them. We build houses with places big enough for a washer and dryer.
Thanks for this, we have a laundry in basement but I really want one upstairs and this will be perfect. Very in depth with all the information a person could ask for!
What a great review! Nice job!
This machine seems very ADHD-friendly!! The 32 load detergent and softener loading at once along with the notification of when to re-fill, the straight-to-drying (I often forget to transfer!), the light that shows how far along it is (which is easier than numbers due to time-blindness), the notification of when the cycle is done. I love it so much! 😍 Thanks for reviewing, indeed it's very helpful 👍
One question. How hot does can the dryer get? I had a bedbug problem earlier this year thanks to a hotel stay, and had to dry all clothing and bedding on high heat for about 45 minutes to kill whatever could be hiding. I hope to never need that again, but would rather be prepared. Thanks again!
My thoughts exactly! This reduces an ADHDer's laundry-related cognitive load by half or more! I wonder if the app will send a notification when the load is done.
@@lesleyegbert4807 yes, the app does!
I am thinking this might be easier for our daughter to operate
I have this as well. I am having issues with my bathroom rugs spinning and drying. I now have my 1st service call and have only had it for less than 40 loads. I’m not a happy buyer at this point but ever so thankful that I purchased the extended warranty.
Have you done your car or boat cover yet? The stairs runner? Give the machine a bit if a break, a sodden rug slamming around in the washer/dryer drum is quite a load to ask it to bear.

The great thing about this is the clothes will dry automatically- so when you forget about a load being done and sitting in the washer and getting that stank, all you have to worry about with this unit is your clothes may be wrinkled.
It has a setting you can choose that will keep the clothes tumbling without heat after they are dry to keep them from wrinkling
VERY WRINKLED! we do not like to ironing. We will return it.
I’m totally blown away by your review. I knew they had these in Europe but not here.
We have had ours since June of 23.
We have a big hairy dog as well.
Thos machine is fantastic.
You Must clean the lint filter after every load. Period. Takes just a minute. Plus I made a longvreach vacuum attachment that will reach in side the filter area to get all the lint off the condenser coil fins
And with a dog...do b the self clean after 15 loads ..add extra water on larger loads to get all the dog hair rinsed out.
Wipe out front seal after each load.
We gave found after 3 months the lint load dropped a whole bunch. .
Cleaning after use is paramount .. leave filter out and door open after last load so it dries out.
As far as energy and water use... .1/3 water compared to out old front load snd Powe bill dropped a bit
We do 5 to 6 loads per week.
Thank you!! Two dogs here and I haven't seen or heard anything about people with pets using this. Dog hair worries me with these combo units.
I have the LG version of this and have had it for two years. YES!!! So in love with this way of doing laundry!! My husband is no longer able to live out of the dryer because in order to run another load you have to unload what’s in there. No more wet laundry sitting in water for two days because you forgot to flip the stuff to the dryer.
This is great because if you need to wash overnight you can easily just set it up and then go to bed without worries.
That being said - I buy a bit more expensive liquid soap but I find no need for fabric softener or dryer sheets. I don’t buy these anymore ever.
My unit is smaller in height and the lint trap is more difficult to clean, nor does it have the 32 ounce auto soap option but it’s nice to see more than one company now has a combo like this. Mine is in the kitchen. 😁
I’m never going back to the old way of doing laundry and this technology is not new - these machines are extremely common in England where there is one until that does it all and they are often installed in small kitchens.
Awesome review.
Highly recommend
In Europe, washer/ dryer combos are very common
Yes.
I'm in London and I'm shocked at how many views and how much attention this washer dryer is getting.
It's also $1999 dollars which is about double a decent UK washer dryer. A Samsung smart washer dryer with add-wash (mid wash additional items hatch) is about 3/4 the price and not quite as tall as this unit.
Still, this is a clever and useful unit.
Thank you so much for doing this review. I’ve been waiting for reviews because I had a small LG combo front load washer/dryer in our tiny apartment kitchen and it did not dry well at all and it was so small we had to do half loads a lot. We wound up just going to the building laundry or a laundry mat instead. Good to see GE put some time into figuring this out. I too would like to go ventless and was thinking about a heat-pump unit for our next washer. Two of these would be even better but also $$$.
Thank you for your time reviewing this. One thing I would like to know is how it effected your electric bill wether up or down ?
Does nobody realize the *reason* the dryer in this unit is ventless is because it's a heat pump??? That's HUGE. Like, a really really big deal in terms of efficiency, cost to run, and effectiveness. Think about how completely ridiculous the concept of a traditional vented dryer is: You take 900 cubic feet per minute of air in your house that you just air conditioned and cooled down, and run it through a six thousand watt electric heater. Blow that air through your clothes, boiling the water out of them, and then blow that air and all the heat energy.... outside??? What in the actual f*ck are we thinking??? IF you have moist air, you use a heat pump to chill it so the moisture condenses out and then put that same heat right back into the air again so it can absorb more moisture. That's how a dehumidifier works. It's extremely effective. And it absolutely makes sense to use that concept to dry clothes. Why waste 100% of the heat when you can re-use it to collect more moisture? This GE Combo is an awesome machine for many reasons, but the biggest reason is that heat pump drying process, and I hope more people realize how awesome it is.
With electric dryers you can vent that hot moist air back into the house during the winter, that is efficient.
@@SABERTOOTHBEAVER you really can't, at least not without risking considerable moisture damage to the room it's in, and that's before you realize that the amount of lint that gets blown out of a normal vented dryer.. they're just designed to be the bare absolute minimum viable product, concerned only with cost to produce and purchase price, with no concern for their cost to operate.
@@dregenius It's nice but it's also an expensive and complicated machine. Most modern complicated products these days aren't very reliable.
@@SABERTOOTHBEAVER Electric resistive heat is, *by far* the most expensive way to heat a space. Heat pumps operating at their absolute worst are still at least 2x as efficient.
Might be a good idea for someone with limited space, like an apartment, but I like to be able to wash one load while drying the previous one. Plus, quite often I wash shirts or other things that I don't want in the dryer (hand dry or flat dry items), so I'd have to make sure I intercepted it before it starts drying, or have it wash only then remember to remove the shirts and turn the dryer on.
We have had our for two weeks...completely agree with this review!
Just know these have been around for years in Japan and small touring sailboats. My warning is they are great but don't ever treat it as a regular standard traditional washing / dryer in other words ... you shouldn't operate a long term continuous marathon use. And the MUST is don't skip on the regular quarterly maintenance of cleaning the tub, clearing the drain filter and cleaning the lint duct, I'm not referring the lint catch screen but the entire channel with a vacuum hose. BOSCH is a good brand, but their German Engineering was absolutely tested. So with that Godspeed my dear and also to GE as well.
Regular driers are basically clothes cookers and should be renamed "Clothes Destroyer". Another neat fact about heat pump units is that it will actually cool the room it's in. Amazing during the 100+ degree summer days.
They’re only clothes cookers when you use the high heat setting. I dry everything on delicate.
@@rhondareese1607 It's still going to cook your clothes. I do the same and the difference between the gentleness on a heat pump dryer high setting and a normal dryer low settings is insane.
If your dryer is destroying your clothes, you’re leaving them in way too long. 20-25mins is plenty for normal clothes. Any remaining moisture will evaporate quickly.
Try washing your clothes in cold water, dry on a low heat delicate temperature.
It only takes me 15 to 20 minutes to dry and put away clothes with my gas dryer. I usually take the more delicate clothes/thinner clothes out after 5 or so minutes. I wonder how I would handle the delicates in this type of unit...... 🤔
These are not so new, just perhaps new to the US. In Japan, all in one washer dryers are pretty much the standard and has been for many years.
We just replaced a 15 year old Maytag Neptune full size stackable with a new LG which we really like. We are retired so we don’t generate BIG loads so an All-In-One unit would be the perfect solution. So we’ll see how the LG holds up. Hopefully we get enough years out of it for a Gen 2 All-In-One to come out.
From my experience with the GE opal ice maker. I trust in GE and I believe you wholeheartedly when you say this machine is great
Hi, thank you so much for the honest review! I’ve been eying this machine for a while. I’m in the process of converting my laundry room to a laundry/pantry as well and this machine would save me a ton of space. My only concern is keeping up with laundry. I have a family of four, my two kids are constantly playing in dirt and mud so washing is non stop in my home. Don’t know if you have children but do you find it difficult to keep up on laundry? Because of the wash, dry time?
Wow!! 4 kids here as well!! Family of 6!🙌🏻This was my concern too! I’ve always done laundry every single day and if I miss I get backed up! I haven’t had one single issue with that. In fact I feel much more on top of it cause clothes are 100% done once I put them in and I never run into accidentally leaving them in the wash & having to rewash them! (Which has always caused me backed up laundry)🫠
We have a family of 8, 6 boys and a man, all very dirty. 😂 I just do one or two loads a day. You can fit big loads in this bad boy.
Just bought mine today, $1900 out the door. I'm excited to get it.
Where from?
Best buy has them at that price 4th of July sale

I see that washer/dryer are like a new thing over there and condenser dryers we’ve had these years over here in 🇬🇧
I had a hotpoint Aquarius washer/dryer in one. It was great to be honest but developed a spin problem where it could never get the balance right and wouldn’t spin or would take nearly 45 mins to do the spin cycle alone! So gave it away. I have a lg again now and I love it. Washer/dryer was good on electricity and everything was dry although sometimes they would smell of rubber from the door seal.
Thanks for the review, my landlord wanted to put in a stackable unit in, but it would block my only window and I didn't want the ugly vent cut out. I still go to the laundromat. Now I know what the solution will be.
Looks nifty but I would be worried about all the electronics and how long they would last.
... just like every other washer and dryer (and refrigerator and stove and ...)!
Same
They have been around for years, this is just a newer better name brand version. These are often used in RVs and travel trailers.
@TheRealdal my mom has replaced her washer and dryer 3 times in 10 years. Three different manufacturers, bought brand new, and all three died. I have had a maytag combo for 8 years that I won at an estate auction for $200 that is from 2003 and it is still going strong. Sure it doesnt have fancy features, but they have more than paid for themselves. If they go out, I'll repair them. If I can't get them repaired, I'm gonna look for a set just like it. I will avoid buying new appliances if I can. They aren't built to last anymore, because if they were companies would lose money. Everything now is built to become waste so you have to keep buying new crap.
This statement is getting old. Electronics have been a staple in our lives for two decades. You’re gonna have to get over it.
I love this honest review! I didn't even know these existed until we literally just seen a commercial for Home Depot with it. One question, how is it with large comforters? That's the one thing we still have to go clean at the laundry mat.
I washed my California King size comforter and it handled it even better than a standard washer & dryer.
Thank you for the review. I am looking at getting this. ❤
Can’t recall anyone so happily talking about their washing machine 🎉
These washer dryer combos have been out for DECADES in Europe. It is crazy how America is JUST starting to sell these. It’s mind blowing
But those machines are pretty crappy.
Tell me about it! Not just europe in sri lanka and all of asia as well. It baffles me how this is so bew thr lol
