- In 2005, Jeep attempted to bring back a pickup truck to their lineup with the Gladiator concept 'Flexible Utility Truck'. It seemed destined for production, but the concept never made it. 15 years later, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator was finally released for production. The 2005 Gladiator is what I expected the 2020 Gladiator to look like, only thing lacking with it is a longer bed

The early models looked more like pickups whereas the Gladiator looks like a Wrangler with a bed. I’m not sure if I like it. Maybe it will grow on me later on. Nice video! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇨🇦

Still wish they offered the modern gladiator in a smaller body like the concept car. I would love a short bed one with only two doors
The Pentastar V6 is acceptable, but if they managed to squeeze a Hemi into it I’d be genuinely excited.

I think they should have built the concept Gladiator but with a Cummings diesel and a manual shift

That 2.8L Ecodiesel has come a long way as well. It has great fuel economy now, though the 3.0L diesel is a better overall engine.
Should have made the the 05 2 door, 4cyl DIESEL! Side mount spare was AWSOM!
Is there a way to mount the spare on the side like in the concept? Maybe with a bed rack?

I love if they use Jeep make a model of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator that looks like the 2005 model but with the 2020 style and design, so yeah
Also, revive the Commache as a Pick-up version of the Cherokee or share design of what Dodge Dakota would look and based on similar design, so yeah

Thank you for saying the gladiator has a ZF transmission and not a "Zed F" transmission.
The current incarnation is more of a status toy than an actual truck with that worthless bed and four-door only option.
They really screwed the pooch with the gladiator. The concept was cool and likely would have sold if they kept pricing down. The production model is weird looking and priced way too high. Making it the worst selling truck in America. Behind the Honda Ridgeline.
