Thank your for the video,I grew up in Penrhys a long time ago,when the estate had over 900 houses. the derelict building used to be the old boilerhouse supplying heat to the estate,It always had fly tipping behind it,but not so much on the mountain itself as it now sadly does.The little quarry we used to call "the lost quarry" a great place for bunking off school.the main forest road you walked on goes from Penrhys to above Ferndale quarry and was known as the "new road" very popular for stolen cars to get wrecked and dumped on the mountain.Very close to wear you walked is a mound called "the bristol tump" as on a clear day you can see the Bristol channel. we can only imagine how beautiful it must have been before industrialisation, valleys lad myself,, Preferred the untouched hills and mountains of mid Wales..
