That 45mm looks incredible. The parallax effect is amazing. Thanks for the demo guys.
the rock focusing and sharpness in 2:01 is really amazing
+muhammad dng That's why I just bought the 45mm lens for my Inspire1
+muhammad dng I thought exactly that when I watched it too.
I guess for less the $200.00, the Olympus zoom lens is worth having in your case. It's great that DJI finally made a camera system with removable and manual controllable lenses, but I hope the next thing they do to the Inspire is add a second fixed pilots camera to improve the two (2 person) operator setup, I mean who needs a wireless pull focus unit?
Thanks for producing this video and showing us some real nice shots.
Thanks Instar films for this test !!!!!
Nice video, thumbs up. Cheers from sunny Nelsons DockYard Marina, Antigua in the Caribbean.
I liked this video mate, thumbs up. Cheers from the IGY Simpson Bay Marina, Sint Maarten in the Caribbean.
Beautiful quality, and angle and everything! Loved it!
Music too
The zoom option seems really cool! DJI says they don't support those lenses yet on their site. Is it just because it's out dated? And was the zoom easy to use?
Stunning presentation, really professional all the way through! What a pleasure, thanks!
The 14-42mm definitely looses it's sharpness when zoomed in. Ended up renting two separate lenses for this factor. Thanks for the vid!
Great video, is the DJI MFT 15mm f1.7 the one that comes with the X5?
yes
Ho ....thanks for the nice Video ... liked and shared ! Do u use an adapterring for the Olympus M.ZUIKO 45mm f1.8
G'Day, I Think one day will be a great video from you guys do a little review about how to mount in a good way the 14-42mm Olympus lens. Or send the info that what you do to get a stable filming. Just because this kind of things is very confusing. Thanks!!!! Best regards

@@promovies.a5546 jajajajajja hace 4 años 🤣
Great Video ! Thanks a lot for sharing it. For me it seems as the Olympus 45 mm is much sharper and has a better contrast than the Olympus 14-42 mm. Do you agree ?
yes, the 45mm is another class
Great video! Can you zoom with the 14-42 with DJI GO app and not need the DJI Focus? I have the Panasonic Lumix 15mm on my X5 - still new to the X5 so still learning how to get the best out of it.
wow, i love the look of the video 🥰
What do you say, should i buy the inspire 1 in 2020 or is it to oldschool now?
i want the best possible look and i am mot sure, if i can reach with the mavic air 2?
No. The h.264 codec is very outdated. You will get better image with a Mavic 2 Pro than I1 + X5
@@paszta56 but this video is looking so much better than all mavic Videos i saw until now??
Hello INSTAR films. Thank you very much for your lens test and comparison. I just purchased the M.ZUIKO 14-42mm.
I would like know your opinion about, if the Inspire 1 PRO also supports the M.ZUIKO ED 40-150mm f4.0-5.6 R, weight 190g ? Thank you in advance and greetings
+zidrones I think, it's much heavier and longer, so you will not able to balance it properly.
+INSTAR films Thank you very much for your reply. It would be a great help, if you could please check the link to Olympus website.

I would like to know, which one of the lenses are you using? In your video it looks like you are using "M.Zuiko 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 II R" because of the height of the lens. But I am not sure about.
+INSTAR films Looks like its the pancake version and the lense is extended :-) one more question, what do you use to balance the M.ZUIKO 14-42mm EZ ?
+zidrones We used the EZ (electric zoom) version!
+zidrones Yes, when you turn off the Inspire, the lens stays in extended. I think, we used an universal lens hood.
Hi guys its sometimes hard to tell on youtube so could you give us your conclusions? Your top pick or order of preference etc. Cheers and amazing video and the camera operator did a really great job....
45mm is absolutely the best lens!
Cheers guys...I was hoping you said that .... best wide lens? Did you need balancing rings? Thanks again
+INSTAR films Olympus Zuiko 45mm ED?
+INSTAR films it did appear to be the sharpest.
INSTAR films Did you have to use balancing rings? How did the gimbal handle just changing the lenses? Did you need different profiles?
Sweet flyin! 🙌
Brilliant video!!
amazing pictures! What color profile did you use? Can you still remember?
Ohh sorry, i don't remember.
Thank you. Looks very nice .I think fps is not enough for 2k
great video, I just bought the 45mm lens but It doesn´t feel stable.. Im about to try to sell my Inspire pro. At the beginning I had such a big problem with the focus on the 15mm and with the 45mm the balance seems to be wrong... any sugestions? thanks a lot
Filters ND ?
Which do you use for any lens?
Thank's ! very good !
Great video, just subscribed !
I'm about to receive my X5s and still wander wish lens to get with.
My difficult option is between Olympus 12mm f2 or DJI 15mm f1.7
What would you recommend ? Both looks great. I'm used to film with a P3P.
By the way, does the 45mm needs any special requirements to keep a solid focus ? or as soon as u "clic" where to focus, you can fly, and the X5s does the rest ?
I am in exactly the same boat.... about to order inspire 2 with X5S but don't know which lens to get. Which did you go for in the end? Thanks, Sam
I got 12 - 15 and 45. But I think I will sell the 15 to get a 25mm
+LET'S FLY ! [PRODUCTION] cheers! I wanted to get the 45mm and one other. Do you think the 25mm would be better than the kit lens?
I didn't try the 25 yet. But I love the 45 !
+LET'S FLY ! [PRODUCTION] if you have any links to any example photos or footage you have taken with the different lenses, It would be great if you could e-mail them to me please sam@vertmedia.co.uk - I agree the 45mm looks great from what I have seen. Does it need a balancing ring?
Sziasztok!
Köszi előre is a választ!
szia!
Wow! Great Comparisons.
Hey, thanks for the video. I just got the Olympus 14-42mm zoom lens too. I'm just wondering if you know how to retract the lens back to flat after use? DJI Inspire 1 PRO doesn't seem to retract it once i turn it off. Thanks in advance.
Awesome comparison, thanks!
nice video! i love the DOF of the x5 compared to the x3.
With the 45mm do you have the balancing ring attached alongside the filter? Is the filter thread the same on the 45 as the stock dji 15?
was this colour graded? or was this just a natural colour profile?
Thanks For the help. Can i balance the lens with the Zenmuse X5 - Balancing Ring for Olympus 14-42mm f/3.5-6.5 EZ Lens? Thanks!!!
No. The filter thread size is different on the two lens.
What ND do you use to balance the 45mm. Looking for the right one that will not mess with the gimbal to much.
Great video..what kind a ring and filter did you used with this lenses..thank you ...
+Tom Czernicki Thx! All lenses have different weight and center of gravity, so you need to find the optimal balance with rings and lens hood-s. On the 45mm, we used a 37mm variableND filter, this was the optimal weight on the front.
+INSTAR films Thanks for your response !!! Very helpful !!!!
+INSTAR films
Nice :-) May I asl the name of that 37mm vari nd?
Regards from Sweden,
+INSTAR films What's the name of the 37mm variableND filter please...
In another video, the operator recommended two different variable ND filters - a very expensive Heliopan and an expensive B&W: XS-Pro VariND. Hope this helps.
Imádtam végig :)
+Szilárd Szilágyi köszi! :)
Awesome! Did you shoot this on the dual controller setup?
yes, of course!
Thanks. Really epic shots! Is the 14-42 worth getting over the 45 prime? Feels like the 45 is killing it. :)
Photomind the 14-42 a kit lens...with a kit lens inage quality. :/
Ah, 45mm it is! Thanks ;)
I tried the 45mm and its very hard to use. It gets way to close and its hard to keep the subject framed especially when moving around.
Hi, i have some issue with Olympus M.ZUIKO 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 EZ. Lens. The image will shaking like hitting to something under millisecond in aggressive flight while acceleration and braking. Do you have any problem like this?
Hello! I have the 14-42mm . Do you use a balancing Ring? Sometimes i have vibrations during flight. Do you have any idea how to resolve the vibrations during filming. I have a inspire 1 pro x5. Best Regards
Hi! Perfect balancing is very important, especially with this lens. You can balance it with anything: filter, universal lens hood, duck tape+weight, etc.
+INSTAR films Great video! How did you guys balance this lens?
great. which lens you think is best ? And you need an adapter fot it ? which filter you advise for this lens ? thank you.
the 45mm is absolutely the best lens
+INSTAR films and need an adapter?
+Juliano Mundim Why? The m4/3 lens fits into the m4/3 mount.
muy bueno!
Could you please share a raw video file shot in log format? i really need to edit and see whats possible to gain.
u need the x5r for raw video
Very good!
beautiful video :D
Have you balanced every different lense in a different way?
What were your settings for your videos?
Do you recomend the DJI 15mm?
absolutely!!
Thnaks a lot for this video! Can you say that Olympus lenses are sharper than DJI 15mm?
i believe the DJI is made by panasonic.

hi guys , do you have any issue with the jello wobble using the 14-42mm lens ?
after the last few updates ive noticed it bad and now cant use that lens ..
you need a perfect balancing
has anyone used the Olympus M.ZUIKO ED 12-40mm ? its about 10oz-12oz. just ordered the x5 would love to be able to use that if the gimbal can handle it. DJI Support is useless on the subject.
EXIT WORLD it is sharp focuses 20cm and can compete with dslr it is worth the money you wilnot regret it it is also versatile
Did you use any filters
What do you do inch tablet?
does the olympus m zuiko pancake 14-42mm work on x5 zenmuse
Easy! Just buy from DJI STORE a balancing ring. They have 2 types. Choose what you need. Easy and works perfect.
What filter/ring combo did you end up using on the 14-42mm ?
+Jonathan Pisarczyk We used a standard plastic lens hood. ;)
Thanks!
This is just the X5 camera and not the X5R correct?
Yes
@@INSTARfilms thank you
Can someone please tell me how there was a zoom?!? is that because it was a olympus and not DJI?
Won't the Olympus 7-14 2.8 work??
that's heavy bro
Sziasztok.
Ráadásul hozzá nem értő módon: Inspire 2 with various lenses néven.
DroneView13 Studio remek... :/ mindegy, legyen vele boldog :) koszi az infot!
Nagyon szívesen.
So having the 14-42mm alone is better than having different lenses with fixed values?
The 14-42 is a cheap kit lens, the fix lenses have much-much better image quality!!
+INSTAR films And comparing between Olympus and Leica lenses?
+Drono del Aire Is there any compatible Leica lens?
+INSTAR films Yes, the www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VF50RCU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage. So i wonder if Leica has better quality than Olympus. They sure are more expensive.
+Drono del Aire Ohh, yes. This is DJI MFT 15 lens, DJI bought the licence. There is in the video, it's a high quality lens.
Can i use all mft lens with the x5 and the osmo adapter?
hi and best regards, can you do that with a matrice 100??
no :)
Im torn between the 14-42 and the 45mm...
Hi. Is this all crew of 2, or single with POI? Thanks
2 operator mode.
Does the camera move the replaceable lens?
hei there, i need one of those.... how do i get it
WOW
do you need to calibrate the lens everytime you switch
no dont need
okay thanks .. so the go app remembers the calibration ?
and how the x5 nows the max dept of field so that everything is sharp
Tablet kaç inch ?
kiráj
top+++
Amazing footage! Wow that last clip at 2:00 with the 45mm gave me a boner lol. While I love the portability of the smaller drones like the Phantoms and now the Mavic after watching this I feel like the 1/2.3 sensor isn't doing me justice and it is wayyyy inferior to flying with a MFT system. Great video!
I too had a boner ± Bro boners LLOLOLOLLLOLOLLOLLOOLLOLL PENIS.
Agree!! The effect of the 45mm with a drone is astonishing! Something that is hard to even get close with my Phantom 4
BONER DURING A DRONE VIDEO? I wonder if you would probe the actual drone if you got it as a gift ? 😊
+David Liu
+Zhang Yunlu
lol song kicks ass!
dual operator?
+Saleem Khutaba Must be dual. X5 cant yaw so smoothly as single op. (waiting firmware fix)
+Cine Drone Yes, the X5 is useless without a camera operator.
Song?
Gaspar Álvarez López stock music from audiojungle
Wudarsch...
And he flies with his thumbs not a professional
Are you able to control the zoom on the 14-42?? If so that is super aweseome!
+Eric Torrie Yes, the DJI GO App can control the zoom and the focus with an on screen slider.
+INSTAR films dope!! i tried doing that in october/november but it didn't work that good, I guess they worked on the firmware :D thank you!
And you can zoom while you are filming? I read that it is not possible while filming. Might be a very wrong information.
GlobalTraveler.TV i don't think you can do it while recording, but it´s possible to adjust
