- Now i have made 8.5 million score in Hardest, contact me personally. After 25 Years of "Rygar Game" (The Silver Jubilee Year) I made this unbeatable Score for Every one...! No cheat mode on. There are some "Best Tricks" for you. Just Enjoy it with great effects and sound. You can watch my World Champion Records at Twin Galaxies Site (30Jul11) and now on MARP Site (10Jan12), and two more new Scores (24Jul13).!
that was impressive... my high score was about 4mil... I was never bold enough to stay on level 17 until my last life... congrats...
I think that the we as normal gamers just reach the 4millions of points in the ARCADES. This is due the time for make another things in real life. I never ever thought that some gamer like you make 8 millions or more. It´s not big deal cause in the arcades the next day when you return all people can see thet this record is no longer exist. Im a woman and still make 4 millions nothing more. you are the greatest. regards from México.
+Dayanefake Oh by the way some rumors in this game talk about an ARMOUR. does anyone could see this ítem? it seems that appears like the ? icon in the whole game. Who know meabe you could see this one. (Or could be a trash or a bug?)
+Dayanefake Its amazing for me, i heard first time that a woman have made 4 million in Rygar game.!! If you want to see my other champion records then please let me know. I am the Champion of this game with 9 million and 10 million score in default settings in US & Japanese versions.

he plays until the counter stops at 99999 or something(can't remember where the score stops). Most awesome thing I've ever seen. And the weird thing is- since I've known him when we were little in the 80's until now, he only played Pac-Man once or twice in a month. Nowadays, it's years in-between, but his still just as good as on his best days.
It's just baffling and one of the most mind-blowing things I ever saw as a kid! First time I saw this awesome kid whose cabinet everyone in the arcade surrounded whenever he stepped in, I was something like 12 and he was like 13 I think, but he was perfect at it even then. The arcade/shop owners normally just rebooted the machine - nvrmind who played, whenever he stepped in. They all knew him.
Just for kicks - we call him 'Mad Jack' coz of his above average pace in doing things in life! Like his on steroids! :D
Another awesome thing is that I have never ever seen him lost 1 life in Pac-Man. Not once!
I sometimes think he was born for that game! :D
Really wish he'd play one time so I can capture it- on a real Arcade machine. We still have many of those here in Africa.

Muy buen record, yo solía jugar este juego hace 25 años, logre un record similar gracias a que el dueño de la maquinas coloco el juego en el nivel mas difícil, es la única forma de lograr este record, ya que el rank avanza muy rápido por la cantidad de enemigos que salen, y se ve que no hiciste muchos puntos ya que el cuando matas demasiados enemigos el Rank vuelve a comenzar desde el principio, bueno además de contar con todas la vidas, el reto es hacer un record similar solo con las 3 vidas que te da el juego y la vida de los 100,000 y las vidas que te va dando la maquina atreves del juego, creo que si hubieras tenido suerte y te sale el signo de interrogación puedes llegar fácil a los 7800000, no creo que se puedan hacer 12 millones, la muerte te mata después de un buen tiempo de estarla saltando, aunque creo que después de saltarla un buen rato vuelve a empezar muy lento creo... no estoy seguro

Quantas tardes divertidas passei lá nos anos 80 jogando pac men, final figth, push out, renegate,TOKIO e tantos outros que ficaram marcados na minha memoria na cidade de Manaus, no bairro do coroado, na taverna do seu geraldo (morto).
Lembro-me com alegria, principalmente nos dias de sábados a noite, a taverna lotada de pessoas jogando, brigando e zerando esses e outros excelentes jogos.
Hoje na era playstation, falo aos meus filhos o que nos faziamos para jogar de graça, colocavamos linha na ficha e muitas vezes o filho do dono da taverna via que nós tinhamos 99 vidas e ele desligava a máquina.

The Speed and Ratio of Enemeis is double than default settings. Please pay full attention on all stages specially last 2 stages. And i did not change other default settings except Hardest difficulty.!!

U need to stop making bogus videos..there isnt a way to get Two 70,000 STAR bonus in the same stage....u framed videos together but u thought no one noticed...dont take me wrong...your game play is Top of the line...but there is no way to keep your repulse bonus from growing ....unless you know how to add cheats to Mame acade modules....GOT YOU FIGURE OUT

I adore this game. Spent so much time on this cabinet as a kid. Local 7-11 guy let me play for free after months of me coming in there. He also had Golden Axe and Tecmo Knight :)

what is your top score at normal arcade level? i have only played the game at normal and wondered why people were getting scores at 17 mill etc.. now i see.. id love to play at hardest level because its very easy to get a really high score.. if i practiced at hardest level im sure id give u a run for your money.. btw excellent play by you congrats..

I love Rygar in all honesty it's my favorite game of all times for what ever reason! I really want to know what your secret to your success? just playing for years or what I cant make it passed stage 15 without a continue which is weak 2.5 million is my all time best score give me some pointers Michael B...
Just Practice and Practice. I have great challenges with Japanese Players. Search the video on youtube with (ACU-H.S) . and also check out my another video (Rygar Dodging death 185 times). You will come to know that we need challenges in case to make high scores.
Rygar + Silkworm(the Jeep/Buggy). Best games for me!
Made by the same company .. and isn't the gameplay in these two games just the epitome of how a game should play?
Nearest thing to Rygar for me these days is *Volgarr the Viking* for the PC. Excellent! The gameplay just flows effortlessly with whatever's on-screen and the graphics are top-notch pixel art. That game-like this one is made for speedruns and high scores.
Takes it's place alongside any addictive arcade game of the 80's even though it was released in 2014.
Having said that- all the great titles had excellent gameplay(the game control/movement mechanics itself)... from Wonderboy, to PacMan, SF2, Gyrus, Bombjack, Pengo, Super Pang Bros, Tetris, Kung Fu Master, Wardner etc..
They all shared that one trait- Outstanding and Satisfying "Gameplay"! When you take that controller, you just effortlessly flow with the game, because it was just designed so well- everything as a unit.

One thing is for sure: it depends on how much you like to practice the game.
I play Rygar on Mame, and I´ve already played it on arcade machines in the 80´s.
With 3 stops on round 17 and medium level, I got 5.925k points. But gotta say, in the hardest level... not easy to do it.

Nice. I just started playing this game more frequently for one credit clear. Nice tricks here! The "red rock death" dodging is funny. I don't think I'll play for such a large score, though :) More 1ups than I imagined.

The word "million" is already plural and the extra "S" isn't necessary. English is tough, I know.
Wow really an old school game. I remember playing Rygar at my parents Diner and did'nt came to far. Watching you finish the game with that score and with a master skill is just beautiful!!!

I think, you did not watch my complete Video? at time 4:36, that is a "Best Trick" to kill "Rhinoceros Enemies". Please pay attention, the hero did not touch with the weapon of enemy. I got unexpected death on 15 stage. Please watch my complete Video you'll find out it is cheat mode or no.!
@ultimatetopcat Hi Bro. I am trying to beet him too. In Marp setting we just need to control the "Red Rock Death" who comes at the end of the time in every stage, nothing else. This setting made me bored coz the speed of enemies is very slow. but I will beat him some day. if you want to see my inp recording for marp pls let me know. And I uploaded more World Records at TG.

Man, you need try to do the ranking Best at the first stage. You need jump the rock death untill you die, with all your lives. In your last life you can go to the second stage. With this trick, you'll gain points 1728000, since each stage, with the best ranking, gives you 64,000 points.

About the armour stuff, I have seen it twice on the latest levels, the jumping ones. Unfortunately I died before I could touch it. It looks like the Rygar stand front facing pose on level transition and I also saw it once on a home page. It does look like a bug though, but since Rygar is so full of secrets, who knows.

Thank you very much! I remember very strong that game 05:24-06:21. I never known its name, but as a child (9-11 years old) I watched bigger than me boys (may be 13-16 yrs old) how they wanted to go after 17 or 19 level of the game. From all the boys, there were only one, who can make us witness of the next unknown level... May be he go to the last level (32 or 39 something like this). My memories are from late 80s in my hometown Vratsa, Bulgaria, Europe. Now, thankfull to you, I know the name of this incredible for watching game - RYDAR (The legendary warrior). Thanks a lot from me - and all that kids in Bulgaria and Vratsa especially.

The only problem is that you don't have the dip switches set properly. You should have had the free man setting at 100,000 only. Other than that, awesome playing.
Actually i changed only Easy Difficulty to Hardest. And did not touch other settings. If you want to see my original OFFICIAL record then go to the sites that i mentioned in my description.

Wow! Nice ducks and jumps around 07:40... Rygar high-score is all about milking level 17 and getting the secret out of level 13, as you've demonstrated. I've forgotten what my highscore was back in the day, but I'm pretty sure it was in the 6 billionth somewhere, but you're better at collecting the 50k miniboss lion jumps... Nice vid! World record?

I started this game in Apr2011 in hardest level and these are my first records on UA-cam with 7m and 7.3m Score. And then some friends told me about Twin Galaxies and Marp. On marp, that is my first highest acheivement and i was little bit tired after 19 stage...and also i could make easily 200k more score with my last life at 17 stage..
