Correction to the amp hour setting: When connecting the batteries in series, the voltage doubles, but the amp hours stays the same. I should have set it at 100ah instead of 200ah. Thanks to everyone that caught that and helped me to make it right.
I wonder if your plane requires as many updates (as the new gauge) before it lets you take off? 😂 Good, clean install and upgrade for the boat. I would’ve been lost at the peukert exponent! 😂
Don't worry, I still don't understand that. Luckily I have mechanics that update my plane for me. Just the other day, the clock in the plane was saying it was 1999. The mechanic had to come out and read in the manual how to set the time on the clock. It took him 15 minutes to figure it out. I think they over complicate things sometimes.
The shunt is connected to two 100ah batteries, which gives it a total capacity of 200ah, and they are connected in series so the total output is 24 volts. (12 x 2).
It will be nice when I switch to see how much time is left and percentage of battery vs the little lights on the trolling motor. I have no room for the gauge so I would have to find space. But good to know it is available.
I just got to try it out today. Its amazing all the info it gives. I know exactly what % of the battery is left and how many hours I can run the trolling motor.

I believe when batteries are in series the capacity remains at 100Ah.

As a retired shipwright I love Victron's chargers. One of the easiest to install and use. Good pick on that one. Great install video.
Good to know. I just did some research, and Victron seems to be the one everyone brags about, so i went with it. Its been working great.
