My favorite thing i use alexa is actually reading Kindle books instead of audiobooks. I dont mind her tone when she reads. I love her reading in the car but i can still read from where alexa leaves off when i want to.
Don't forget, 'Echo', 'Amazon' and 'Computer' are also wake words. Not just 'Alexa'. And this house uses all of those. I almost never view instructional videos any more on Echo devices, as it manages to set something off. LOL
Craig, you can use an Echo Link with an attached AirPlay or Bluetooth adapter to stream music from your phone/tablet/computer to all Echo speakers within your home at the same time. I use this set up and it works great. Great video, we love your content. 👍
For our Spotify family I had an extra unused account which I made a family account to attach to our smart home which allowed us to keep our personal spotify accounts separate
I love the sound quality from two echos in a stereo pair, in fact I bought a echo studio but was so disappointed with the stereo spacial reproduction that I sent it back, two echos is much better and cheaper. I have one either side of the bed and a pair in the lounge. It's such a shame you can't bluetooth to a pair as I'd love to listen to my bluetooth record player through an echo pair.
For calendars I used to see next appointment on home screen but no more. Calendar syncs fine but I don't see next thing anymore. I have to ask to see calendar. There used to be a setting under home content to show calendar events but that's gone. How do I get either next appointment on home or a calendar card. Don't want voice announcement for appointments.
Great video! I just got my Echo Dot and skuld like go use Alexa to call my phone which I misplace in the house all the time. It works but The volume of the signal is very low in The app even tbough The volume of my phone is at max and I cannot find a way to increase it. Is there a way?
If would like to use Radioplayer app, and would like echo show to switch radio/app off after... let's say 2 hours, is that possible? E.g. I am going to bed and want the radio to be on for an hour and then the timer will kick and switch it off.
I have been unable to view my existing custom routines. I wish to modify them but cannot remember how I first created them, or how to view them once created. Want to modify and all I get is a listing of the pre-built routines from Alexa. Anyone have any suggestions?
Hi Craig or anyone that knows the answer. We got my 70 y.o. mom her own echo device on her own account and she is on her own account. We have echo devices on our own account. we can access stuff like air conditioner etc but not from my moms device. is there a way to merge so both accounts can control things like lights and ac etc. Craig if this is a possibility for multiple echo devices, do you have or would you be able to make a video how to do this?
The only way I can think of doing this is by joining the same Amazon Family (which can support up to 2 adult accounts). However, you would have to say ‘Alexa, Switch Account’ whenever the device is not connected to one of the accounts. Hope this gives you some ideas on if this is a practical option.
Hi thank you great info l wonderful if you can help me l have a show in my shed but it does get noisy is it possible when my iPhone rings can Show ring so l can hear the phone Thank you 👍👍
Do you happen to know why when I ask older Alexa devices: "What generation is this device ?" second and third generation devices ALWAYS answer this question correctly but newer Alexa dots do not ? Aren't they all drawing their knowledge from the exact same database ? I've tested this many times on many days because it makes no sense to me.
Unfortunately, there is no way for it to pick up specific sound like that. Both echoes and HomePods can only recognize generic. Sounds like alarms or glass breaking.

Is it free? I forgot it kindle is or not
Nice video. Thanks. Question regarding switch bot k10. Have you had other vacuums and is this the most functional?

Bruh use headphones, earbuds or something like that
So is “Ziggy”
Can you take them on 'vaction' using your Iphone HotSpot? Will it adjust to different time zones?
You can connect via a hotspot, but changing WiFi is kind of a pain. It will not adjust to different time zones automatically
@@CraigsTechTalk Oh, crap!!

How do you do that the Bluetooth adapter thing?
What kind of Bluetooth adapter do I need to have so many?

Get an Echo Link. You can hook up your record player to it and stream music to the pair of speakers at the same time.

Hi Craig can I play iTunes on alexa or echo?
creat, it confirms that there is still not a single use case that would make getting an echo worth for me.
Glad to help. 😀 Thanks for watching.
My husband bought me one thinking I'd love it but I really havent found a need for it
Me: Alexa, why won't you answer the simple question I ask?
Alexa: I'm not quite sure how to help you with that.
Great coverage anideas on how to use Echo devices!

Amazon 🙌 It’s Incredible Craig what Alexa can do at this point via Echo devices. Great video!

Is it me or Craig has a bit of Jim Carrey in "Me, myself and Irene" going on in this video's thumbnail...? Just sayin'.... 🤷♂
Serously how do I make the music stop!!!!!
Okay ✅
Danko
I have an echo dot in my bedroom and I want to make it useful for routines. It will be helpful if you posted a video of Alexa routine ideas.
Thanks for the suggestion. I had made one a while back. But it would be good to have an updated video.
Question: can alexa remind my kids to lower their voice if they get too loud while playing?
Unfortunately, there is no way for it to pick up specific sound like that. Both echoes and HomePods can only recognize generic. Sounds like alarms or glass breaking.
@@CraigsTechTalk thank you for your reply :)
Feels like I bought the show and have no idea why.
Bro has 42 echos living in his home
A lot of Echo Shows living in the closet now. Thanks for watching.
OK so now I can't control my dots at all
